Plus they are also still bringing back characters that were retconned out by the new 52 or rendered Out of Focus (Young Justice for starters).
That reminds me, How are the Terrifics doing? I'm wondering if the book was canceled or not.
Judging by the sales, apparently they did.
It was called Crisis. Of course it sold well.

Tom King won an Eisner for best writer. Because life is pain and our existence is meaningless.
Eat at Arby's.
...what'd he win for?
Best Writer category. So Batman (eh why not), Mister Miracle (yay!) and Heroes in Crisis (angry moth noises)
I don't know if that was explicitly for Heroes in Crisis so much as a list of his work for DC.
I don't think he's undeserving, personally - I've heard good things about Mister Miracle, and while there's stuff to dislike about his Batman run, there's been plenty of good stuff too.

Oh God! Natural light!God, I hope Immortal Hulk wins, it's such a good book and I want Marvel to take more risks like that one.

Aw man, Giant Days is one of the noms too. Tough choice...
Oh God! Natural light!Psh you think I have time to read articles when I'm trying to drop a scorching hot take?
puts on sunglasses and dabs
From what I've been told, most of the hate is coming from online forums. Seems we're in the minority.
Eisner winners:
- Best Short Story: “The Talk of the Saints,” by Tom King and Jason Fabok, in Swamp Thing Winter Special (DC)
- Best Limited Series: Mister Miracle, by Tom King and Mitch Gerads (DC)
- Best Writer: Tom King, Batman, Mister Miracle, Heroes in Crisis, Swamp Thing Winter Special (DC)
- Best Penciller/Inker or Penciller/Inker Team: Mitch Gerads, Mister Miracle (DC)
So it looks like King/Gerads and Mister Miracle was the big winner. Also, Giant Days did win for Best Continuing Series.
Well, too bad for Immortal Hulk, but Giant Days is really good, so I can't fault it.
Oh God! Natural light!Neither can I, I love Giant Days.
So, I know Young Justice is back, but what's going on with Teen Titans?
Last I recall, they were being run by Deathstroke? And the old Titans long since broke up again when DC had their usual Who Is Donna Troy? fight.
One Strip! One Strip!... Ummm
Deathstroke was involved...
Basically Damian had gone full totalitarian 'like his Father' Locking up the Criminals his team captured underneath their hideout 'with only Red Arrow/Emiko being aware'
Deathstroke was among them but Deathstroke being Deathstroke didn't stay jailed for long and found Damian's failsafe while also causing a mass breakout
The Terminus Agenda
Like his Father, Damian did something but then regretted it but instead of fixing the problem he left it going
Basically all those criminals who are trapped... can't leave cause the moment they exit the proximity of the Titans HQ... The Virus in thier blood will activate and Kill them like it starts counting down the moment they exit the door
Damian and the Team are able to contain and cure the other criminals. Slade mocks Damian for being like his Father, Amoral/Callous enough to start something but too Soft Hearted to finish it
The Two Fight with Slade trying to goad Damian into killing him so he can undo the damage Bruce has done... only for Emiko to 'kill' Slade with an Arrow through his eye 'Once again an Arrow character cleans up a Bat members bullshit'
Slade right now has been "confirmed" dead -as much as that means in comic books- with Rose running around as the new Deathstroke, Jericho furious that Emiko killed his father'Since Joey is the reason the teen titans caught Slade in the first place' and general Wilson family insanity
Right now Damian is on the shit list with the other Teen Titans but ummm Lobo's here to kill Crush so that takes priority
Man, they make it obvious that fan popularity is the only reason most superheroes trust Bats with anything sometimes.
Wake me up at your own risk.Cass, Duke and Helena haven't done anything that goes too far. Ironically, the first and third are the ones that struggled the most to gain acceptance.
When Slade Wilson seemz like the righteous part, you know the other person is really bad.
"I am Alpharius. This is a lie."I mean, Damian started off as legitimately killing criminals and only later regretted it, so this seems...pretty in character for him? Like, he no longer wants to kill them, but he wants to make sure they aren't a threat, so he imprisons them in a place he thinks is safer than Arkham. But that backfires, too.
...Also, I highly doubt Deathstroke is dead. Emiko has a habit to "killing" people and then later revealing they aren't dead (i.e. she did the same thing for Ollie).
Priest himself has stated he's under no delusion Slade will stay dead.
And they did...for a little bit. That year after Rebirth had some great stories. And then...DC was like "But wait, where's all the misery?"
I still remember when Tom King announced that he was going to do a book called Sanctuary about a place where heroes with PTSD could go. And the book would actually be about PTSD and mental illness, rather than...whatever Heroes in Crisis was about.
I still think DC is doing some things right. Bring in Bendis was actually a good move and that, in turn, brought in KSD, Rucka, and Matt Fraction. The Wonder Comics and Justice League books are all pretty fun. Joshua Williamson is enjoying a long run on The Flash — and I've heard his current storyline, Flash: Year One is pretty damn good. Christopher Priest is still doing really well on Deathstroke, too.
But then they piss away a lot of the goodwill they've earned by doing things like making Heroes in Crisis a massive killfest and having Wally West be the cause and forcing editorial changes on books that don't need them. I don't want to read about "Ric Grayson." I don't want to read unending doom and gloom.
