[up]As cool as that "Three Jokers" reveal is conceptually... it doesn't reflect well on Batman's intelligence that he never noticed his greatest enemy is three different people.

The very best, like no one ever was. Check out my Spider-Man fanfic here! [1]

Depends, are they working together? I never bothered with the three Jokers stuff because I thought it was stupid, but unless they know of each other's existence and are coordinating, then how is it possible only one Joker act at a time and the other two stay quiet? Also height, face, voice, fingerprints and DNA, the latter two I presume the Gotham PD is intelligent enough to collect, so unless they're clones or multiversal counterparts, some difference should exist.

Edit: Also did Bruce never bothered asking more questions after being told there was three Jokers?

Young Animal is coming back in July!

Takeaways:

  • Doom Patrol: Weight of the Worlds: The Patrol go on a road trip...IN SPAAAAAAAACE! (And Robotman channels his inner Pinocchio and becomes a real boy. What, what?!)
  • Collapser: An amateur DJ with anxiety issues gets a black hole in the mail, gives him powers and thrusts him into a conflict of cosmic proportions. But hey, guy? You want a side order of responsibility with that?
  • Far Sector: Sojourner "Jo" Mullein has been the Green Lantern for six months in the City Enduring, population: 20 billion. For 500 years, this City has utilized the secret to peace: relieving everyone of their feelings! Yeah, WTH, but on the plus side, no murder or violent crimes! Not a bad trade, right? Too bad it's all about to change...

Shhhh You're asking a logical question

Since Bruce was the God of Knowledge at that moment he should Know who Joker is... regardless of how many of them there are... but thats the problem with Bats and Joker inhabiting the DC universe... The greater whole bends to make them seem more relevant

Ergo Why can Spectre gladly murderized Dr Light in the middle of orgy by turning him into a giant candle to burn out

yet can't just blink and murderize Joker... cause I swear kid you not... Spectre's powers don't work on Joker cause GOD HIMSELF CAN'T JUDGE JOKER GUILTY

The best thing involving Joker and Spectre interacting was that part where Hal Jordan was the Spectre and tried to judge him, whereupon he was blasted out of his shoes and infected with Joker toxin which created a Jokerized Parallax that Hal defeated by turning into a giant cowboy and stepping on him.

No wonder the Joker's a Straw Nihilist. Then again, given how often he tries to goad Batman to kill him I'm wondering if living is punishment for the guy.

[up]Which I would agree with if it weren't for the countless times Joker was in obvious fear of his life or threw someone under the bus to save his own skin. Joker's willing to kick it if it serves an end (such as getting Batman to break his no-kill code, or getting his jollies ala Under the Red Hood), but otherwise he'll go as far as begging on his hands and knees if it means saving himself.

[up]Well, most of my experience with Batman (including the Joker, natch,) comes from the DCAU and the Arkham games, mostly because I'm not a big fan of reading multiple ongoing titles starring the same character. Bit overwhelming for me personally. Going off of that though, there's the time the Joker was dangling off a rope over a vat of chemicals and begged Batman to save him; there was when he called out for Batman to save him from being exploded to smithereens in The Joker's Favor; the scene where he got down on his hands and knees and begged Batman to save him from the Creeper in Beware the Creeper; Harliquinade where he kicked Harley off his getaway plane when she tried to stop him from blowing up Gotham, etc.

The Joker's Favor:

It’s been over & done with a while ago yes.

But... but... evil Batmen.

Weren't there supposed to be a bunch of Dark Multiverse Leaguers too? Wasn't Bruce preparing everybody else for that? And what specifically happened to the evil Batmen? IIRC they were all supposed to be scarily competent at f-cking sh-t up and not dying. Whatever happened with that Doomsday Batman? I thought there was more there.

To be fair, DCAU Joker is considerably less nihilist and driven by his twisted ideals than comics Joker. Comics Joker would gladly die if it meant suffering - especially the kind that comes with broken hope and dreams - happened in his wake. DCAU Joker cares about himself above all things, is far more willing to sacrifice others than himself..

It also applies to Batman. Comics Joker is defined by his attachment to Batman, unwillingness to kill him, and desire to convert the Dark Knight into a being like himself. DCAU Joker has zero problem killing Batman when he has the chance (even if he does like making him suffer first), and really just hates his guts.

yet can't just blink and murderize Joker... cause I swear kid you not... Spectre's powers don't work on Joker cause GOD HIMSELF CAN'T JUDGE JOKER GUILTY

Which is a shame, because my favorite moment in Emperor Joker is all about the opposite. Joker judges himself as one of the worst conceivable things in existence, and believes wholeheartedly that a universe that would allow himself to exist is not one that deserves to exist itself.

I wish they could at least think of other ways to justify these characters not being able to affect each other besides (lol, nope, I'm just too crazy/badass/etc for that). Even if they are immune, think of a good reason.

It'd be interesting to see Batman just shrugging off his death and just move on and be Batman without any big change, to show how he really didn't need the clown.

Yeah, that was my biggest complaint about Lego Batman.

Bear with me.

I actually think Bruce was entirely right to say, "Yeah, at the end of the day, you're just another baddie to me."

So is it correct to say that the Green Lantern franchise is DC's racially diverse franchise?

Hal Jordan - white

Guy Gardner - white

John Stewart - black

Kyle Rayner - latino (depending on the writer)

Simon Baz - Arab

Teen Lantern - latina

And now we have two different books coming out about a different Lantern each. One an Asian-American teenager and the other a black woman.

Can we dial down on the human Lanterns, it’s getting heard to keep track of them.

Maybe a single planet can stop having a relative monopoly on the rings.

And even then humans are always more unmemorable when compared to aliens. No exceptions.
