If they do Honest Trailers for Foreign movies, I hope they do one for the Chinese Wolf Warrior movies, which people Iirc called the Chinese version of Micheal Bay action movies with heavy handed Ccp nationalism.

Not-so-fun-fact: the news about Reforged being underwhelming and bad was the final straw for my brother's decision to scrub his computer clean of Blizzard products (with the exception of emulations of Warcraft 2/3 and Diablo 2). We both agreed that waiting for them to clean up their act and repent was a lost cause and don't intend on giving them money again.

Well I can say that the dude has more conviction than the lot who were all in outrage up until they announced Diablo 4 and Overwatch 2 as damage control.

For some reason I'm suddenly unable to get the trailer for every Wes Anderson film out of my head.

Its basically a Persona spin off with a handful of Shadow Dragon and Awakening characters cameoing in place of the usual demons.

It’s still amusing how despite being so apparent mainstream friendly the game bombed hard on the other side of the Pacific & did so once again with the Switch port I recall.

It was too much even for the folks who like idol culture I guess.

The initial announcement gave off the idea of mainline SMT crossed over with Fire Emblem. As in, they outright showed the heroes and heroines of the mainline Shin Megami Tensei games.

For it to be suddenly reappear after a long period of silence as Persona: Idol Edition made it an Audience-Alienating Premise on both sides. Then to make matters worse No A pointlessly (and lazily) censored some outfits after they already aged the relevant characters up to adulthood, and then to make matters worse had the dungeon addressing the seedy, shady gravure aspect of the idol industry completely remade, thus removing the social commentary and criticisms that Persona games are known for.

Apparently the gameplay was actually really fun, but they did everything they could to make it flop.

And after a few weeks of very Japanese games, Honest Game Trailers tackles something more Murican, the latest Call of Duty -

The Witcher is the most watched Netflix thing? I think Stranger Things and Bojack Horseman beg time differ.

It would better to call it "the hottest new thing of Netflix" or something.

Altered Carbon season 2?

I love The Witcher and I can't deny anything in that trailer. Also, Netflix sort of cheated by changing how it counted views.

The part with Geralt grunting made him sound like a gorilla that would swear occasionally.

Which was a deliberate acting choice by Henry Cavill. Geralt in books and games is very talkative, but playing him as taciturn really helps establish his isolation from society in general. Cavill focused instead on making his grunts and swears as expressive as possible.

Cavill was actually channeling Douglas Steven Cockle, the VA for Geralt in the games. Geralt is actually fairly talkative in the novels, though it's more along the lines of broody, philosophical inner monologues about how man is the real monster, owing to the nature of the medium, while he's (usually) a little more taciturn in the games, especially since we don't need to hear his monologues about how man is the real monster when we can just be shown that.
