Does this get the standard crossover 'and others tied into the supernatural' disclaimer? [lol]

Hope not, part of their appeal is that only Magical girls can normally detect them, since you know, they were once magical girls themselves.

Yeah, but then we get the situation where the magical girls can get involved in the others, but the others are barred from the MG stuff.

You just have to follow them into the barrier. Only magical girls can locate them, but normal people can see them once they are inside the barrier.

WIPPAGE.

  • Name: Sayaka Miki
  • Appearance:There’s no way I could possibly regret this!
  • Universe: Puella Magi Madoka Magica.
  • Powers:
    • Soul Gem: To the untrained observer, this is nothing more than a crystal egg in a metal cage. Those in the loop know it to be the source of a Puella Magi’s powers, and a symbol of the contract they made to obtain them.

This is only a half-truth, however. Their true purpose is… sinister.
    • Magic: Sayaka’s magic has a heavily musical motif, with musical staves appearing as Instant Runes whenever she uses it. Due to the nature of her wish, Sayaka has self-healing abilities (although the destruction of her Soul Gem is pretty much an instant game over) and great endurance. In battle, she can combine this self-healing special ability with magical techniques that detach her senses and block all forms of pain, becoming a nearly unstoppable berserker.
    • Sayaka primarily fights using swords, which she can produce a seemingly infinite number of from Hamerspace (typically pulled from under her cape). These can also be thrown at enemies for ranged engagements.
    • Superhuman attributes: Like all other magical girls, Sayaka literally has a body running on magic. Therefore she is more durable than your ordinary person. She has greater agility, strength and speed a girl of her age would have.
  • Personality: Sayaka has a strong sense of loyalty and justice, but at the same time is overly impetuous, often acting without thinking twice about the consequences. However, deep below this could be said that she just wants to be loved.
  • Backstory: [PENDING]

@Strat: Got it! Plus I was thinking of just sending in the dumbbots, small groups of badniks and SWA Tbots, and maybe even Eggman himself at first. I'll save the full blown invasion for a future storyline.

EDIT: Removed direct reference to the Wing Fortress and instead have it as something planned for the future.

  • Name: Count Von Sabrewulf
  • Real Name: Frank Sabel
  • Gender: Male
  • Age: 45
  • Alignment: Neutral -> Villain
  • Appearance: Normally, he appears to be a simple man of a skinny build, black hair and glasses, but come nightfall...
  • Personality:
    • Pre-Development: Frank Sabel is, though seemingly unhinged and nervous at times, a decent man. Though often troubled by his disease and the implications regarding it, he does his best to keep his morals intact. Though desperation to cure himself can lead him to change that.
    • Post-Development: Driven insane by the physical, mental and social effects of his disease, Sabrewulf may attempt to act prim and proper when he's in his human form, but he is barely able to hide his own unhinged view of reality and morality. He often mulls over the troubles of his past life, possibly garnering sympathy from whomever unfortunate enough to be his audience, only to shift right back into the crazy. Once he's in his werewolf form, every single shred of humanity he might have had is thrown out and he is naught but a raging beast.
  • Powers: Due to the nature of his disease, Sabrewulf is a man by day, but transforms into a howling wolf man by night. In his wolf form he is dangerously fast, not only able to run at the general speed you'd expect a wolf to run, but also able to perform frightfully acrobatic feats, such as leaping great distances, bounding off walls or maneuvering around terrain and enemies alike. As he delves further into insanity and his disease continues to go uncured, Sabrewulf may eventually be stuck in his wolf form forever.
  • Abilities: In his human form, Sabrewulf is essentially a disheveled old man. However, he possesses extensive knowledge of alchemy.
  • Weapons/Equipment: In human form, he may keep some of his alchemical instruments handy for experiments. However, as a werewolf, he fights entirely with his own being.
  • Posessions: A basic apartment and a job as a teacher. Also, an alchemical lab he keeps hidden in the mountains, along with lots of alchemical lab equipment to go with it.
  • Origin:
    • Once a rich and up and coming scientist in Britain, Frank Sabel excelled in biological studies, although in secret he had also dabbled a tad into alchemy. Frank Sabel was originally your typical snobbish rich man, basically harmless, that is, until the day an experiment he was paid to dabble in struck him with an otherworldly disease, Lycanthropy. Going into brief berserk phases, he unwittingly murdered dozens. When he returned to human form and awoke in the middle of one of his rampages, he was left powerless and confused as crowds of witnesses to his actions surrounded and beat him. Even his family members and friends drove him away and called him a monster. Somehow, he had managed to get away and find himself in Beacon City. The company that was indirectly responsible for his transformation made sure the event was covered up, and all witnesses silenced, eliminating Frank's worries of being a fugitive. And so, he takes on a new life as a humble science teacher, hoping to get back into the society while finding a cure for his disease.
    • However, as the RP goes on the disease gets worse and worse, and Frank continues to lose his sanity bit by bit. Attempt after attempt of curing himself fails a dozen times over, and Frank eventually starts capturing live humans and begins experimenting on them to find a possible cure. He disappears from civillian life altogether, and delves into full on supervillain territory, dubbing himself 'Count Von Sabrewulf'. He calls himself a Count and wears fancy clothes for kicks. Now he continues to conduct immoral experiment after immoral experiment, praying one day that it might return him his lost humanity.

Hopefully this works out. Quick question though, is having backup or secondary characters a possibility?

@Tricksen: I'm sorry, but I'm gonna have to say no. It's just that your character's story introduced too much into the Beacon universe and doesn't really adapt anything to it. Besides, again, I don't think the world would have gone unchanged after this big war where millions of people died.

Just to clarify, this big war finished around 80 years ago and was stretched out for about a century (magic makes sorcerors long-lived). And the sanctuaries keep hidden from the non-magical world.

[up] Again, while most other magical characters add things, the things they add aren't as big and as booming as this giant magical war- which is too big to just be a plotpoint in one character's backstory. For it to work, every character with magical ties would have to adapt the stuff they added to the universe, and I think it's much better if you just chose another character.

@Deady: Awaiting finished sheet.

@Nigel: Still waiting for yours too.

@Latverian Badger: Accepted, poppet. And, yes, you may have a backup character, but not a secondary one.

I should say, I'll be closing signups soon. People who have posted unfinished sheets do not need to worry, though.

Ok, I'm posting this now in order to get feedback on the powers. Personality is unfilled because I wanted to go back and check a little more of the source before settling on how to describe it, and Origin is because I'm trying to figure out how to best adapt it. Rest assured, they will be filled.

Name: Princess Kraehe

  • Real Name: Rue Schrei
  • Gender: Female
  • Age: 16
  • Alignment: Hero-ish
  • Appearance: The princess and the girl
  • Personality: Rue is a girl who wears a lot of masks. In her everyday life, she's the calm, cool ballet prodigy, who might be distant but has a good heart. As Kraehe, she becomes much colder and harder, a fighter who know's she's strong and won't let anything stand in the way of her goals. However, both of these masks hide the true 'her', a lonely, sad girl who fears that she will never be cared for by anyone.
  • Powers:
    • Rue can voluntarily transform between her normal self and Kraehe. When transformed, people who she is 'involved' with - ie those in the fight that she is directly influencing - will see her as her Princess self. Bystanders will see her as an enormous raven or black swan.
    • As Kraehe, Rue's already impressive physical skill is greatly increased, so she has nigh-flawless balance and agility.
    • Flight
    • As Kraehe, Rue can use a kind of magic centered around crows and their feathers. She can transform feathers into impromptu weapons, such as knives, and can theoretically make larger constructs, such as a cage. However, doing so would require her to use entire crows, which is extremely taxing. She can also do a sort of 'enchantment' with the feathers, where they are stored within an object and essentially act as a stores spell that can be released at her command. note  Finally, she has a rather basic attack spell, where she can summon a blast of dark (literally) wind to hit her foes (of course the wind is also carrying feathers with it because why not.)
  • Abilities: Rue is an extremely skilled ballerina, and thus is very strong, agile, and flexible. In addition, she is good enough to be able to go en pointe in a pair of school shoes. note
  • Weapons/Equipment: An apparently limitless supply of magically-potent crow feathers.
  • Posessions: Rue has her own computer and phone, and a modest regular allowance. She also has a full scholarship to the most prestigious arts academy in the city as a ballet student.
  • Origin: Rue was once a newborn baby in a German town, until one day a massive flock of crows attacked the town, attacking people and remaining everywhere in the town for days, until they vanished as quickly as they had arrived, taking baby Rue with them. They carried her to the domain of the Raven, a massive spirit that had been sealed away decades before. The Raven fed Rue his own blood as she grew up, training her into becoming his tool, as he planned for her to go to the human world and find a way to free him. He never told her her true origins, of course, and instead told her that she was his daughter, a raven born into the ugly body of a human girl. Only by breaking the seal on him, he told her, could they be free. Otherwise, anyone who found out about her true nature would hate her, and until then he was the only one she could rely on. He tried to put the plan into action when Rue was 14, sending her to the human world. However, this was much more draining than expected, and when Rue arrived she had no way to speak to him. Luckily, she was able to find a place to live and attend school, but had no idea how to begin the lengthy process of freeing her father. She began crime-fighting shortly after her arrival, partially as a way to find magical items in the possession of villains, partially as a way to keep her skills sharp, and partially because at heart, she wanted to do the right thing.

Ok, Strat, here's my shot at a second character.

Name: Subject 11

Real Name: Angel

Gender: Female

Age: 7

Alignment: Anti-hero

Appearance: Has shoulder-length, curly blonde hair and blue eyes as well as pure white wings with a wingspan of 8 feet giving her an angelic appearance.

Personality: Can be sweet but also power-hungry. Although she is wise beyond her years, she's still entranced by things like Disneyland, beaches, teddy bears etc.

Powers:

  • As she has wings, she can naturally fly, and can do various tricks.
  • Telepathy: She can pick up on people's energies and emotions from about a meter or two away and read people's thoughts if she is closer to them. Can also make people do things, although this may be partly or wholly due to her cuteness.
  • Has gills, so can breathe underwater and also talk to fish.

Abilities: Is a good fighter and knows several martial arts moves and underhand tricks although, since she's 7, she is quite fragile when it comes to blows.

Weapons/Equipment: Has a teddy bear called Celeste and a talking Scottish Terrier called Total who can also jump really high (about 20 meters normally). However, as she is a fugitive, doesn't really own anything else.

Posessions: N/A although she previously shared a treehouse in Colorado with her brother and some other mutants like her.

Origin:

  • Was sold by her mother along with her brother too some Mad Scientists at birth who made her 1% avian, thus giving her wings. This tampering also gave her her powers which developed as she grew older. Some other experiments were with her as well, namely other children like her (including her brother) although there were also wolf-men who acted as guards and other failed experiments. Her and her other friends nicknamed the place the School and were kept in dog cages and constantly experimented on.
  • However, one of the scientists appeared to show remorse and busted her and the other bird kids out and showed them their treehouse home in Colorado were he stayed with them, acted as their father and taught them fighting skills for two years. Then, he backstabbed them and went back to the 'School', leaving them to fend for themselves. Soon after this, the wolf-men (nicknamed erasers) attacked their treehouse home and her and the other bird kids , who adopted a collective name known as the Flock, went onto the streets.
  • However, they were ruthlessly hunted down by erasers (who now had wings) and partly because she didn't want to be bossed around, and partly because the erasers managed to split her up from the Flock, Angel had to go solo and eventually found Beacon City were she is lying low, living off the streets (something that she has experience doing) and thieving, hoping that the flying erasers and Mad Scientists won't find her while also exploring this amazing city.

[up][up] Sounds much better, but I think it'd be better to make her 8 or 9, just so she could fend off for herself better? Also because I'm counting up the years and if she's 7, then she was busted out by the scientist at age 5, and I doubt you could teach martial arts to 5 year olds.
