I think I fixed Matthew. Removed the cold-iron and silver from his baton and the pistol. Also made him less capable in a fight
Yeah, I think street punk/kid who knows kung fu is about as trained as normal humans are allowed to be in this RP. Also, removed the Macedonian silver.
I've got new mythological machinery, and very handsome supernatural scenery. Goodfae: a mafia web serialAllow me to see if I can edit that around to work better...
I may edit this a wee bit more as i'm kinda pressed for time for a couple minutes but is this better?
"You lost, Dio. You lost for one simple reason - you were using charcoal." - Hank HillAbout the Shop on Legs
Of course, to those outside the Masquerade, it looks like some sorta combination roadside stand/RV.
A food truck?
"What a century this week has been." - Seung Min KimParable: EXACTLY!
Pffft.
If we're running a Dresden-esque tone it's entirely possible that there'd be people in the setting who act as attorneys specifically for the supernatural—notaries on geases, arbitrators in faery contracts, deals with the devil, or "essense-based transactions," otherwise known as selling your soul. Copyright violations, or perhaps cheapening or trivializing a symbol, not unlike the red cross or the extreme implications of wearing a cross in a warzone without being a medic, could indeed have consequences.
Either that, or it's cultural appropriation, and Baba Yaga can take pictures and complain about it on her Tumblr.
I'm pretty sure if it even becomes a thing, it'll be played off for laughs.
Well of course. How could Baba Yaga complaining on her Tumblr be anything but hilarious?
I van't help but think that her Tumblr would actually be just like anyone else's. Like,

... That's tempting to do/work towards.
"You lost, Dio. You lost for one simple reason - you were using charcoal." - Hank Hill@ Raineh: I accept the reasons for her to be in Volwick. However, sustaining the dead bodies should take a toll on her energies and the more she has to sustain the more she has to spend. She can probably keep around the ones she likes the most by giving them more power, but the bodies should still have a rate of decay in how long they can remain themselves before becoming unthinking zombies and then simply collapsing.
@ Tropay: I would like a few more details on the incident, it doesn't have to be something big, she could have just fallen off some stairs.
@ Plum: Hmm why would the head Priestess of a declining race of lizard people from the Amazon Forest come to Volwick to live?
@D Blades: The backstory is kind of silly, but the character itself can work.
@zzzdragon: Oh Cade, that bring back memories. Unfortunately, zzzdragon, I'm being a lot more strict this time around with the power levels involved. While last time you did not abuse the powers of Cade and acted fairly well in a neutral manner, I can't accept his power level.
@ Infinite: That's much better.
@ claw: Accepted.
@ Blue Berry: The idea is not that bad, but I'm still not warming myself towards it. Giant chicken legs seems like the kind of magic that could be worked more easily in other times.
The game may be starting this very night. I'll be opening a discussion thread immediately for people to discuss plots and make requests for plots. There I will also take note of those who made normal humans that wish to participate in the 'Welcome to the New World' plot. I do think Infinite's character is in that lot, right?
Discussion is here

If I'm sure of something it's that I'm not sure of anything.... given how that defeats the point of a rather large part of the idea, rescinding interest.
Avatar SourceMore than likely, yes.

Curse the ill fortune that led you to me.In what ways does it defeat it? She can just get new bodies after a while.
There must still be a reason to hop about 8 countries or so and settle in an unremarkable city.

If I'm sure of something it's that I'm not sure of anything.Who said she was settled? My original plan was more of a drifter, she was "just passing through" when (I'm guessing this happens) shit hits the fan, which is actually the event that makes her stay.
Hey, if you think it's shit, just say. I'll work on another idea.
Oh, also I made sense of the 8 countries bit - it really isn't a problem to relocate the Tokara Forest. That sheet I linked is only a rough idea and changes are to be made for this RP - as the previous bit should make clear.

Curse the ill fortune that led you to me.... because both the 'doing it from altruism' things and 'use as restaurant staff' things no longer work (because decaying corpses and decaying corpses in a kitchen or serving people), which means neither reason she had for reanimating bodies in the first place applies, which removes the character's only noteworthy ability. It basically makes the whole thing stop working.

Avatar SourceHm... well, knowing Mikoto, she probably ran head-first into a brick wall chasing something that looked tasty. I'll try and come up with something more concrete if you want, but I hadn't really placed much importance on her past for the moment.
Here's the revised occult detective version
- Name: Laoch “Weird” O'Connell
- Age: 29
- Gender: Male
- Religion: Weird is Agnostic
- Race: Human
- Appearance: Weird is an Irish man of standing six feet tall and weighing about 190 lbs, he has brown hair which he often haphazardly dyes pink with green and brown eyes. His shoulders and arms are covered with tattoos of Mythical Beasts, He often wears a dirty wife beater under a black hoody.
- Personality: Weird has fully adapted to his life where most people think he's either a scam artist or insane and the other half think he's an ass. So, he's adapted by being a Sarcastic jerk, often saying what comes to mind, though in the presence of vastly powerful beings, children and paying clients he has been known to suddenly become much more amiable. Having a somewhat skewed moral compass, Weird has no problem whatsoever with lying, stealing and intimidation to get what he wants, and if pushed far enough he will not hesitate to use Torture and Murder. He often patrols the more super natural areas in Volstick
- Bio: Hailing from Ireland, Weird is an occult detective, serving as a police consultant in the supernatural, however, He's also a bit of a vigilante, often walking around the more supernaturally active areas in Volstick, he's only moved there recently, yet already has a bit of a reputation with the fae known for being a jerk.
- Skills: Weird is a skilled singer as well as guitarist, he is an excellent Cook, and possesses almost inhuman stamina, not to mention being a master level Traceur and is proficient with boxing and firearms. Weird is also surprisingly durable, capable of surviving wounds that would kill an ordinary man, coming out only horribly wounded.
- Possessions and Assets: Weird owns a 2013 Honda Motorcycle and lives in an apartment, that has a potions lab, a collection of books, an armory containing a Remmington hunting rifle, and an M1911 pistol, which he often has on his person Weird also owns a pair of leather gloves and a ski mask, which he uses whenever he has to something illegal like breaking and entering.
