But also a good girl in the lore, you do missions for her as a Druid in Wo W and get her as a follower.
Whitemane too but well... The version in HOTS is very different from the 'friendly' version of her.
It will be interesting to see if they add some self-resurrection mechanic to her and if they ever add Lilian Voss into the game.
I was not aware of that, and that's fair...but still, eats people.
Whitemane was also clearly just a villain on her first appearance, which is what's being used, so I'd expect little sense of moral relativity for her in HotS - I'm sure she'd just be a zealot.
Nice to see my favourite Warcraft faction represented in another Blizzard game.

Welcome to Estalia, gentlemen. The Scarlet Crusade is your favourite you say? Tell me more.
Tell me...tell me everything!

As much as I have a super high disillusionment towards Warcraft these days, I don't think Whitemane serve as its problem. Good for her, I guess, to die before the problems present itself and catches up to everyone.
But then again, this would've been the first time I've heard of her, so I couldn't be bothered to care that highly. But do enjoy her for those who would...

Are you a Whitemain or a Greymain?
Blackmane when?
Uni catI hope she gets a DK skin.
Also, how many times have we destroyed the Scarlet Crusade? I remember doing it once... or twice each expansion I played. And then recruiting them into Priest Order Hall. Sally isn't he only one that comes back from the dead it seems.

“You can’t be an important and life-changing presence for some people without also being a joke and embarrassment to others.” -Mark Manson.Yeah, the Scarlet Crusade kinda became the whipping boy of WoW - one of the few things I disliked about Wrath was how they used the same plot point about a demon pulling the strings again. And then they somehow showed up in Legion - only to be murdered by the player again. :/
It didn't help that the faction you were allowed to side with - the Argent Dawn/Crusade - felt pretty bland in comparison.

Welcome to Estalia, gentlemen.I think that when it comes to Warcraft whipping boy(s)... I have another faction in mind for that.
The fact that the player character themselves can mook a Scarlet vendor on the Darkmoon Fair kinda implies that they are considered a laughing stook in-universe by now.
Pretty sure that's more because the Scarlet Crusade has been pretty popular with players, especially their aesthetics.
Welcome to Estalia, gentlemen. It was because of her. And well Light Is Not Good in Wo W.... Light is conviction, she was so convinced that she is right that it made her strong enough to have an auto-Rez and when she rezed she brought back everyone else.
It took Lilian Voss finding the Blades of the Anointed and stabbing her with em to finally put her down.... only for the deathknights to come around to raise her as one of the horsemen and she is at it again.
A lot of the former members of the Crusade are still around in legion, the priests rebranded themselves as Crimson Priests and the paladins rejoined the Silver Hand. Both are seen in their respective class halls.

All that just adds an extra layer and makes me hear Yakety Sax.
Edit: What happened at Tyr's Hand was the first instance of light based "Forsaken".

“You can’t be an important and life-changing presence for some people without also being a joke and embarrassment to others.” -Mark Manson.Whitemane is indeed a Discipline Priest.
I want her to discipline me
Some people thought they were covering her up a bit more from the splash art. Instead, what they actually did was take her tabard and make it closer to a superfluous loincloth.
I didn't think much of the splash art before, but now I am kinda surprised they made her hair more wavy than the pretty much alike straight-hair-and-straight-bangs she had going on before.
BUT THERE'S NO RESURRECTION ABILITY, "Arise, my champion!" OR WE RIOT

In this poorly-edited video, hear that Whitemane has a Who Framed Roger Rabbit, Simpsons and Futurama references in addition to the expected unexpected Spanish Inquisition.
Adding to it, here is Whitemane's interactions with other heroes (Link doesn't embed for some reason)
10/10 for Uther's response.
Also, ironic Yrel doesn't like Whitemane when her canon self she creates something akin to the Scarlet Crusade in the future.

Uni catUther is straight holy fire
I just love how everyone hates her.
This song needs more love.Well, Varian was kinda noncomittal in responding to the compliment.
Now, the Noblewoman's Laugh at Zealots being less zealous than thou, that was fucking amazing.
Edited by VutherA on Jul 30th 2018 at 7:01:31 AM
That was Varian's opinion in Wo W. The Crusade received no official support from Stormwind but they were allowed to recruit there till the events leading up to Northrend.
Well, Yrel was taken before all shits in BfA happened. Also, doing those Scarlet Crusade shits to the Horde is OK, but doing it to the Alliance is not.
FOR THE ALLI—BLEEERGGH!!!
Whitemane is not out of touch. It is the heathens that are wrong.
When Sylvanas tries to solo Arthas but gets destroyed and blames Tyrande for zero heals
Real talk: Welcome our new Garrosh 2.0. This game at least has a "Morally grey" Sylvanas.
Uni cat
He's easily seen as grey.
Brightwing however, is just sentient enough to speak, coerce, and eats people.
