Rotom: Huh?

I'm the eldest veteran of this arena. I've been trapped here for about a month. I was out exploring and I finally found my way back!

Rotom: Um, okay?

-She tilts her head.-

Hey, what's this ordinary little girl doing out in the desert all by herself?

Said ordinary little girl may find that there's something high in the sky, something that flies in a way that no bird or primitive aircraft can.

Ooh, Nanoha vs. an actual Mecha? This could get good...

Nanoha is looking around, and just so happens to glance up and spot a flash of metal.

Typhon decides to just stretch out on the sand

lies down to find glass beneath him

"HEY! Where did this glass come from?"

The object suddenly performs a nosedive towards Nanoha's general location, breaking the sound barrier as it does so.

Engaging combat systems. Subweapon energy at 100%. Metatron levels are stable.

Nanoha looks up at it. ?!

She hurriedly whips a red orb out from underneath her shirt.

No, it's just Idolo's AI talking to itself. And the machine is shrunk to be only 3 meters in height

As the object draws closer, Nanoha can easily see that it is a gray and black robot with a... Very odd design.◊

Target in range. Commencing operations. The will of Metatron be done.

The machine slows down it's supersonic descent in a manner of moments, if another mage like Nanoha was to do that maneuver; the magic user would have blacked out from the intense G-forces even with a barrier jacket. But since it was a machine it had no such problems and it itroduces itself to the young mage by shooting at her with a laser machine gun mounted on its wrist.

Flash Move!

Quick as the robot's moves are, by the time the lasers fly through the space where Nanoha was, she isn't there any more.

A flash of purple light comes from a nearby alley.

The Robot notices the flash of light and rather casually drifts towards it. If Nanoha, wherever she is were to make a scan of the machine, she would realize that there was something not quite right with it... Especially its power source and the way space behaves oddly around it.

That wasn't an attack, it was a literal flash of light, not a beam. (It was in fact her transformation sequence.)

lies down for the 500th time

"WHO KEEPS STICKING GLASS WHEREVER I LAY!"

The robot will see Nanoha dressed in her barrier jacket, and this music begins to play as they stare each other down.

"Why are you attacking me?!"

Shooting Mode!

(Raising Heart's head subtly reconfigures itself to look a little like a tuning fork.)

The Robot's left arm reaches on its back and pulls out a gatling gun◊ seemingly out of nowhere and points it at the magical girl.

"Idolo will fulfill its directives. Idolo shall engage the designated targets and eliminate them."

The gatling gun then fires a wide burst of energy blasts at the magical girl.

Cartridge Load!

Raising Heart ejects something which looks like a spent shell casing, and a boost of purple power flows through it and Nanoha. Nanoha raises a hand.

Protection Powered!

Purple Instant Runes briefly appear before her, before being overwhelmed by a stronger shield of purple magic, which is sufficient to absorb the energy blasts.

"Who gave you your directives? Why am I a target? Answer me!"

Excel Shooter!

Nanoha points Raising Heart at the robot, and eight purple missiles of pure magical energy shoot from it towards the robot.

Idolo dodges the homing energy blasts with its blinding speed, forcing the bolts to hit various obstacles, buildings or the ground no thanks to the inhuman skill of its AI.

"Idolo's directives are the Creator's. Creator's will is the will of Metatron. Metatron's will is the will life. Life's will is conflict. Conflict is Idolo's directive. Metatron's will be done."

Idolo throws away the gatling gun as it crosses its arms before suddenly throwing them to the side, sending forth a veritable swarm of homing laser beams from its hands straight towards Nanoha.

Magic is Creator's Enemy. Creator's Enemy is Idolo's enemy.

Protection Powered!

Nanoha puts the shield of purple energy back up, and at first it successfully absorbs the beams, but then the strain starts to show on Nanoha's face, and the shield starts to crack.

"Give 'er another one, Raising Heart! Cartridge Load!"

Cartridge Load.

Raising Heart ejects another spent cartridge, and the surge of purple energy is directed into the shield, which redoubles in strength, giving it just enough power to weather the storm; the last couple of hits to it send Nanoha staggering backwards.

Nanoha looks confused at the robot's speech, and decides that actions speak louder than words, so she's done holding anything back.

Idolo seizes the opportunity for a cheap hit and jets towards Nanoha, the long bone-like spur on it's right forearm folding forwards; revealing its purpose as a melee weapon; the machine attempts to go for a stab on the magical girl.
