The quote we currently have is better. The face adds nothing to the speech bubble. In order to illustrate this we would need to know that someone died. A grave could show that. Even then it might just look like mourning and not guilt.

I think there was plenty of consensus to pull the old. I like 8. Mourning plus having been there would be the only way to show guilt at being alive.
