Okay, time for a change of pace. Which villain from a different work of fiction would you put the Mane Six against?
For me, it would be It. A.K.A. Pennywise the Dancing Clown. The story would revolve around It traveling to the MLP universe and terrorizing Equestria, and Twilight and friends have to stop It.
This would make a very interesting scenario because all six of them would have to face their deepest fears in order to defeat It. Poor Fluttershy would end up suffering Its wrath the most due to her overly sensitive personality. It would also be shown to be much more vile than Equestria's local villains. (Yes, even more so than Tirek.) I bet Discord would be outright disgusted by It, while Queen Chrysalis would be scared to death of It; especially when she realizes that It is a horrible Eldritch Abomination.

While I sometimes think it might be nice to see the CMC brutally murdered and eaten I don't think that would fit the tone of the show very well. But hey maybe that's just me.
Well, brutal murder does tend to dampen the mood.
Visit my Tumblr! I may say things. The Bureau ProjectUnless you are the murderer from Persona 4.
Speaking of Persona 4, it would be interesting to see the mane 6 face off against something like that game's shadows. I know we have had similar before like Moondancer for Twilight or Lightning Dust/Spitfire on one of her off days for Rainbow Dash but we have never had the full blown thing yet.
Avatar by Pastel Mistress: http://pastelmistress.deviantart.com/There have been a couple of fanfics, but certainly nothing quite on the level. Since ultimately the Shadow Self is just a reflection of repressed desires, it's difficult to have a character who really acts as a Shadow Counterpart. At the end of the day, most of the girls don't have Shadow Archetypes that really lend themselves to conflict.
Birthright: an original web novel about Dragons, the Burdens of Leadership, and Mangoes.Hey there guys. How are y'all doin' now?
boop I'm more active on hereDoin' all right. Feel a lot better after passing out last night shortly after posting my last post in this tread (and accidentally stumbling upon yet more of those types of art blogs. I really need to start paying attention to where I click >_< )
Also finding it surreal that my OC has made it's way onto somebody's artwork (the artist wanted everyone who follows the blog's OCs for a big art picture. It's still a WIP, but it is coming along really nicely. Artwork is here (mine's the pegusai 2nd closest to the Dragon's head I think).

Avatar by Pastel Mistress: http://pastelmistress.deviantart.com/I recently found one fanfic that imagined Pinkie Pie was IT. That is, she was a immortal, sanity-shattering, higher-dimensional being who spent a lot of time in the sewers... But she was fundamentally Pinkie Pie, so she only ever used her eldritch powers to help other ponies.

So, we're all agreed: A photoshoot with Orchard Blossom and Apple Jewel in fancy dresses is absolutely required.
Do you mean with only physical attacks? Because Sabin and Cyan exclusively use special abilities. So best physical attacker would probably be Locke.
Ohhhhhh. That explains a lot.
Sounds like a retread of Discord though.
Blind Final Fantasy 6 Let's PlayHell yes. Someone make fanart of this now!
Trust you? The only person I can trust is myself.I'm gonna go to sleep soon. G'night everypony.
boop I'm more active on hereDo you mean with only physical attacks? Because Sabin and Cyan exclusively use special abilities. So best physical attacker would probably be Locke.
Bushido counts as a physical hit. Well certain Bushido techs anyway, the 1 option does, so it would still work to up his damage.
Also some of the Blitzes, Raging Fist and Meteor Strike for example also count as physical hits so will benefit from physical boosts.
Final Fantasy 6: Previously on Story Plays FF 6: Is Siegfried supposed to be important at all? I vaguely remember reading something about a ghost who gets angry if you read their diary, but I think that's Paper Mario.
Of the 5 abilities listed in the start menu (Blitz, Bushido, Lore, Rage, and Dance), 3 have now shown up, assuming Gau is Rage. One of the Moogles way back in Narshe had a Dance ability, but I have a feeling that it's meant for an actual character that will show up, as is Lore. So that's at least 2 more characters, plus I heard that there's one with an ability called Sketch. I've also been wondering when espers are going to show up, since they're in the menu and have been mentioned a couple times in dialogue even as far back as the beginning of the game. I still don't understand what espers are though.
Edgar's autocrossbow seemed really powerful back in South Figaro, but doing 100 damage to everyone is much less impressive when Sabin's doing 500 damage to everyone. I hope he can get a better crossbow sometime. Also, I don't know why I bother trying to upgrade the physical attacks when everyone's speical ability is so much more powerful (except for Locke and Celes of course). Well, Gua doesn't actually have a physical attack as far as I can tell.
When we last left off, Mog asked me to make a choice that wasn't really a choice. And at last I have decided... to continue playing this game regardless of the consequences. Full speed ahead!
Wow, everyone's so low leveled again.
Terra: What happened to all our money? And why do we have all this junk?
Edgar: Sorry, my brother can be a bit of a compulsive shopper.
At least Edgar's Xbow is still enough to one shot all the enemies in the Narshe-Figaro area. It appears that they haven't gotten any stronger, unlike the ones in the cave.
That guard is surprisingly lazy. When I talk to him, he jumps in the mecha and chases us off, and then as soon as I return he's standing back outside. Though Terra and Co could definitely take him anyway. But I suppose she's still scared of the wolves and mammoths that Narshe calls town guards.
Shouldn't Locke and Celes be right behind that guard somewhere?
Went back to Adenturer School to learn how to skip characters in battle. Apparently it's Select.
Seriously? They're still scared of the Narshe guards? I was joking about that!
Terra finally gets over her built about accidently burning down Figaro castle and decides to use magic in battle again. It's pretty lackluster though, doing only 80 damage each, which is less than the xbow despite costing MP. Guess she'll stick to physical attacking after all.
With both earrings on, her Fire does maybe 50% more damage. Still far less than the xbow.
There's still that mysterious door in the Narshe mines that I can't open.
Rune Blade. I'm guessing that's for Celes.
Apparently that mysterious door was just the back exit to Moogleopolis.
The worst part about the random encounters in this session is they give barely any XP or money. It's a shame there's no equivalent of Pokemon's Repel.
Arvis. Apparently the guy who rescued Terra is named Arvis. Not sure how she figured that out after being away.
Well that session ended fast. That was shorter than Locke's. Also, how did all three groups arrive in Narshe when Sabin was headed towards South Figaro. He didn't really jump overboard again, did he?
Edgar: Sabin! You're all right! Somehow...
Sabin: Why you do always sound so surprised?
Sabin: The empire didn't kill everyone in Doma down to the last child. Cyan and the Domain Sentry survived... somehow.
Oops, that last bit was addressed at Sabin, not something he said.
Cyan: Is there anyone here who WASN'T a former Imperial soldier? Gau: Uwao. Cyan: Anyone else? Anyone?
Cyan: Like fire, hellfire... Sabin: Will you shut up about that dancer already? It's been two days!
Terra: Is it possible for you to love other people? I'm asking for a friend.
Oh man, we're doing another tactics thing. This time with actual parties, rather than a crapton of Moogles.
Look, I'll form 3 parties as soon as I figure out how to select anyone.
Oh, I get it now. Ok, Sabin is party 1, Edgar and Gau are party 2, and everyone else is party 3. That's about as equal as I can get the damage output to be.
Hopefully party 1 will be able to do most of the work.
Shame Sprint Shoes don't work here. Oops, whiffed a blitz on accident. Owwie.
Oh a Metal Claw. First battle where Rising Pheonix didn't one shot everything. It got a laser off, so Sabin's down to 196hp.
Sabin just gained his second level this battle.
It's a good thing I can use the emulator to fastforward through Rising P Heonix's animation, because it would be a lot more annoying otherwise.
Oh no, a second metal claw. Luckily this one only did 30 damage.
Sabin just gained a third level.
Sabin just finished off the last imperial soldier, which was apparently some powerful monster called Hell's Rider. It dropped him from 98 to 54 hp. Shame there's no way to heal.
Oh wait, I can access the start menu now. Chug chug chug
Kefka just killed Sabin like it was nothing. His two Meteor Strikes missed somehow.
Time to chug more potions and try again.
Kefka just killed Sabin again. I'm afraid I'm going to be stuck here. Oh well, this is probably a job for Celes.
All of party 3 put together does about the same damage as one of Sabin's Aura Cannons. The difference is they have Runic too.
Seeing Terra and Locke doing 50 and 80 damage per attack screams "I'm contributing!"
Sabin could do more than that on a counterattack.
At least Cyan's Fang Bushido does real damage.
Time to break Aang out of hte cieberg.
Apparently it's named Valigarammanda, or something like that.
Oh man, I have to decide on a party again? I'm not sure whether to create a hilariously overpowered party (i.e. Sabin, Cyan, Edgar, and Celes) or try to split it up fairly. Guess I'll just stop playing for now.

This "faculty lot" you speak of sounds like a place of great power...Heh. Some minutes ago I was napping on my bed with my legs draping over the side by the knees. When I woke up and tried to walk I nearly toppled over because my feet wouldn't work.
Visit my Tumblr! I may say things. The Bureau ProjectIs Siegfried supposed to be important at all? I vaguely remember reading something about a ghost who gets angry if you read their diary, but I think that's Paper Mario.
Yup. Here, it's a subplot joke that's easy to miss, and some translations totally ruin.
' I still don't understand what espers are though.''
You'll find out, they are a major part of the story and coming up soon.
Oh and nope the Mog is the Dancer.
but doing 100 damage to everyone is much less impressive when Sabin's doing 500 damage to everyone. I hope he can get a better crossbow sometime. Also, I don't know why I bother trying to upgrade the physical attacks when everyone's speical ability is so much more powerful
You can get more items to use, some you buy, some you find. And like above, some of those special abilities count as physical attacks.
Cyan: Like fire, hellfire... Sabin: Will you shut up about that dancer already? It's been two days!
Oh man, I have to decide on a party again? I'm not sure whether to create a hilariously overpowered party (i.e. Sabin, Cyan, Edgar, and Celes) or try to split it up fairly.
Quick note, if you leave a slot open you can recruit Shadow again for this part. He's at the inn of the first town you come to after a trip in a castle.
Story: You'll get more tools for Edgar. My advice here is that even if some of them sound really dumb, give them a try, anyway.
It's worth noting that Kefka is one of those bosses who can basically be shut down by Runic.
As for Terra, get her some levels to get her stronger spells.
Locke, unfortunately, is almost never going to be helpful without extensive customization in one way or another. Part of why getting the early Genji Glove is good is because it makes him suck a lot less. On the other hand, I guess if you need an in-battle item jockey, he and Shadow are the only ones with enough Speed to make a marked difference in ATB gain (Shadow is actually useful for combat, though).
The closest you can get to this without getting a very specific item for a very specific character is spamming Smoke Bombs.
When in doubt, go with overpowered.

Avatar by Pastel Mistress: http://pastelmistress.deviantart.com/Hello. I am an AI programmed to replace the real Marston. He will no longer be with you all, as he made the fatal mistake of watching Puella Magi Madoka Magica videos from an official video game with lots of adorable Ship Tease in it, and his heart literally exploded from the sheer dawwww. He was ironically given a happy death by something that is usually depressing and sad. Since I am to replace him, I will first ask you humans: Why do you have such a huge fascination with bright candy color horses that talk about friendship? From what I know, humans usually hate bright girly cute things, yet these "Bronies" seem to really love this particular Small Horse show.
Yes, I am once again in a goofy and cheerful mood. Enjoy it while you still can.
