I saw the season five teaser. I was especially interested when the narrator stated "but nothing could prepare twilight for what comes next".

It turns out "what comes next" is a shit ton of paperwork with the Ponyville Zoning Comission regarding the castle that just sprouted in the town square.

I will laugh my head off if the next episode starts with Twilight sitting in the Mayor's office trying to get a permit for her castle to be hooked up to the town's plumbing.

That random toy advertisement at the end of the trailer. I think I laughed harder than I should have...

Toriyama must be so incredibly bored with it by now. Seriously, the guy tried to do other projects, some quite interesting, but all got shut down because it wasn't DBZ.

I imagine that in Japan, publishing companies announce to a mangaka that their book has gotten popular by sneaking up and chaining them to a desk. "You draw this forever now!"

Also, what's this about a trailer?

It's a teaser for season 5, but it's one of those "only shows clips from past seasons while voice over talks about how awesome next season will be" teasers.

Pretty much. I have a mighty thirst for new pony footage that remains unquenched.

I just realized the teaser is referred to on the official page as the Twilight Sparkle Recap. I wonder if they plan on releasing similar videos of the rest of the cast? That would be cool.

Season 5 is going to be a toughie for AJ. Just how far WILL she go to prove her love of apples?

No distance is too far when it comes to apples. She will storm the gates of Tartarus itself if necessary.

Considering that she's treated an apple tree as if it were a child, I'd say she can't go much further than she already has.

Though I suppose we haven't seen her marrying an apple (tree) yet. Probably because I killed all candidates they don't know how to treat a girl.

On the plus side, her team looks to be getting more and more balanced, but she is going to want to make room for a water type at some point, or at least some other mon that can use Ice attacks for dealing with Lance.

On another note, as part of my plan to write 500 words a day as a yoga goal, last night I started an Appledash fic that starts with the two of them getting invited to the grand opening of a new night club, and only realizing after hanging out and dancing for a couple hours why there aren't any stallions around. Oh, it's schlock, but we'll see how far I manage to get with it. :P

Water types are plentiful, with many routes of water types only once she gets Surf.

Alternatively she could turn Eevee into a Vaporeon.

Finding a water type to join the team isn't the concern, it's deciding who to bench to make room for it.
