Interest Check: Bleach Alternate Universe Thread

You can either start as Hollow Adjuchas and try to climb towards Vasto Lorde Hollow or start right away as Adjuchas class Arrancar.

Right. Might make a Phoenix Adjuchas, then, as well as the kido girl.

Hmmm, now I'm starting to feel a little awkward for wanting to start as an Arrancar when all the other Hollow players are starting as regular Hollows, ahah.

...But I really like the design I've worked out so far, and I know what I'm getting into in terms of how powerful she'll be (is it weird that the fact that she'd be weaker than most characters was an incentive to play as an Arrancar?), so, uh... Hmmm.

You're not the only one thinking of making an Arrancar, I was thinking of making an Axolotl themed one.

Although I also had an idea for an Adjuchas, if the Arrancar design doesn't work so well.

So, is there more interest in Hueco Mundo or Soul Society thread? Or are you equally interested in both?

I'd rather not just stick to one side.

I don't have a preference between the two, so long as we can still RP as Hollows/Arrancar as I prefer their powerset over a Soul Reapers.

If we get to start as medium-high levels, how would character progression happen? (outside of emotional)

There all interesting in their own right, and I could fashion characters for any faction...just that the character idea I'm mainly focusing on is my Hungry Hollow.

Character progression will be plot driven, there are no mechanics that govern it.

Feel free to PM me your ideas :)

EDIT: I have mainly worldbuilded my setting so far, but there are few storylines I could rehash from my previous attempts at Bleach Roleplaying.

I'm interested in getting an actual signup.

I estimate I'll be ready on 1st August, though I'll speed up things if necessary and omit unnecessary worldbuilding.

I don't think you have to be finished with worldbuilding.

Hmm, for an Adjucas with a Phoenix motif, I'm not really sure what to do for power. Sure, resurrection is snazzy, but it's not appropriate. Healing Factor? But what about offensively? Hmm...

Fire's too obvious?

Also had the idea, with some awesome help, of a Shikai that becomes SWARMS OF MAGICAL BEES!

So...pretty sure I might go with that over the remote controlled vines.

Well... yes, there's fire, but just burning things is too clichéd.

I'm most definately making my character the lowest seat possible.

EDIT: Could you update the main post with what story you have so far? So I could change my ideas. Atm they're just based around nothing and kind've random

...And that's the appearance finished, at least◊. Uh... Hope no-one has a problem with her having a feathered mask, ahah. Just, uh, wanted to go with the whole vaguely Aztec theme, and... I guess the bonier parts of the mask were the parts removed when she became an Arrancar I guess, ahah.

So I guess now I just need to work on her backstory and define her powers a bit more. Yay~

Is that a feathery Ea expy I see?

Aw snap, I thought the alternate colours would help disguise that. Um... I just kind of didn't want to draw a katana, and... The sword ended up looking vaguely Ea-ish somehow, yes. It's obviously nowhere near as powerful as Ea, of course.

...Although I did decide that she does fire her Cero by causing it to spin really fast, so, uh, yeah. >.> <.<

The brief history of my setting, along with some dates:

No one really knows when Soul Society came to existence, but earlier records of its existence date to 48.000 BCE. However, even those first records are scarce and obscure, and little is known of Soul Society's history before foundation of the Spiritual Arts Academy circa 100 BCE. Before 1000 CE, Soul Reapers were decentralized force and Gotei 13 was established that year in response to the threat that Quincies posed. The First Great War ended presumably with the death of the King of Quincies, as during The Second Great War in 1800 CE Quincies were led by another leader. Oddly, the man shown no signs of having Quincy powers yet he was hailed by his men as their new king. The Second Great War caused high collateral damage, and the damage to the Human World resulted in deaths of millions. Out of 13 Captains of Gotei 13, nine has died. The Second King of Quincies is supposed to be dead, even though he managed to retreat along with remnants of his force, as he was dying from wound inflicted by the former Captain-Commander who is now the Captain of the 4th Division. Though Quincies survived to this day, they ceased to be a threat to the balance due to their small numbers. In 1890 CE, the Research and Development Bureau has been established to coordinate efforts of the Soul Society's reaserchers. 100 years after the Second Great War number of Arrancars started to increase rapidly, and the strongest of them established organization they called Espada. Attacks of Arrancars and Hollows are becoming more bold, and it is clear for the authorities of Soul Society that The Third Great War, this time against Arrancars, not Quincies, is going to happen sooner or later.
