Speaking of Skies Forever Blue...
What is the opinion in this analysis?
What's their analysis?
New theme music also a boxBasically, the song is a possible reference to Dragon Blazers and maybe, just maybe, the song foreshadows Deltarune.
In my opinion, i think that he is onto something.
In a shocking turn of events, it turns out Deltarune Chapters 3-5 IS coming at the end of the year!
... and by the year, I mean a year. 1969, to be precise.
Steam updated Deltarune's release date to December 31st, 1969. This is either a weird bug, or Toby saw everyone get hyped when it was changed to Coming Soon and is deciding to fuck with us.
And if we wanna put our tinfoil hats on REAL tight, maybe December 31st is a date relevant to Dess? Either her birthday or the day she disappeared. While 1969 might be a year relevant to Gaster, like his birthday or the day he became... no longer of this world.

December 31st, 1969 is just the start of the Unix epoch, which to put it simply is the earliest date computers keep track of. Computers generally keep track of time by counting how many seconds have passed since 00:00:00 UTC on January 1st, 1970. If a device or program has its time set to 0, usually by a bug, then the date will display as January 1st, 1970, or if you're in the Western hemisphere and the program is accounting for that it will be December 31st, 1969 due to timezone conversion.
So the release date for Deltarune probably got set to nothing, so Steam defaulted to displaying the earliest date it could.

Yeah, it seems to merely be an automatic thing. If a future release is coming, expect it next September at earliest.
Update, the release date has been corrected once more, back to just Coming Soon. It was indeed just a bug.
But I don't think too many people can fault others or myself for thinking Toby was being cheeky in setting the date to that, rather than it just being a bug on the client's part. I can't really think of anybody else out there that would change the release date of their game into something potentially lore-relevant.
But intentional or not, I don't think it ever was alluding to a release early next year. Q3 2023 at the earliest, and maybe Q1 2024 at the latest.
Toby is going to start posting on Twitter more.
That damn chucklehead.
More? I don't know if the internet can handle more than one or two posts a month from the small white dog.
He posted barely an hour ago and it already has almost 50,000 likes.
The man just has that power.
-Witty line-Apparently he's also putting together a newsletter for Undertale and Deltarune-related updates.
Be kind.Kinda a bold move to declare his intention to post more on a social media site that is collapsing on itself.
Well yeah, that's the joke.
Toby Fox is trying to kill Twitter's servers.
I'll teach you a lesson about just how cruel the world can be. That's my job, as an adult. In my mind this means he's gonna send people magazines about Undertale/Deltarune.
Break out the fanzines!
His magazines will be parodies of Nintendo Power or EGM magazines but every 5th page will have a goofy ad joke that is actually integral to the Deltarune lore.
-Witty line-Nice. Went and picked "Truck Freak" out of sheer curiosity.
Somebody once told me the world was macaroni, I took a bite out of a treeOh yeah, the first installment of the newsletter came out for those subscribed to the "Normal" tier or higher. And I gotta say, Sans wearing a green sweatshirt instead of blue becomes a lot funnier when you remember that blue is considered a shade of green in Japan. Exploiting a loophole like that to be technically correct while still messing with Papyrus is perfectly on-brand for Sans.

Be kind.Undertale AU swimming around in my head for the past couple days:
Toriel: A creepy kidnapper who may possibly be responsible for you falling down here in the first place.
Papyrus: A vainglorious jerk who will hunt and torment you to satiate his ego.
Sans: Papyrus's creepy, silent minion. Also, drawn as a realistic skeleton for some reason. He is the only one that has a different design.
Undyne: Heroic rebel and her pack of merry dogs honestly trying to help you. May only reluctantly try to kill you in order to free the monsters.
Alphys: A mad scientist with interest in very little except making things that personally benefit her.
Mettaton: A ghost Alphys tricked in servitude by offering him a body that she could control.
Asgore: Brooding king upon his throne.
Monster Kind: Legitimately dangerous, not at all weak. Humanity barely won sealing them in that hole.
Chara: Tried to help monsters and died in the process.
Asriel/Flowey: Now fully convinced that monsters are irredeemable, he will try to help Frisk but snap and go "Angel Of Death" at the end of a Pacifist route in order to kill them all.
So basically an Underfell take?
The Crystal Caverns A bird's gotta sing.Sort of, I did notice that. It's supposed to be based on "wrong impressions" one could conceivably form of these characters before fully learning what their deal is.
The earlier that impression could have formed, and the more wrong it is, the better. Some are a stretch and some are spin offs of the other. Like, Flowey's (and Undyne's) comes from "Wow, I sure made nearly everyone else an asshole".
Does deltarune have AU like undertale who seen to have like, a bajillon now?.
"My Name is Bolt, Bolt Crank and I dont care if you believe or not"
Yeah we are all on the same page about it, but like, it's still the first part, very curious to see where Toby is going with this, and if he can stick a landing.
