Here's something unusual. On Disney+ in Singapore, The Owl House episodes "Understanding Willow" and "Enchanting Grom Fright" are not on the service. As someone mentioned in the comments, if it's for LGBTQ content, wouldn't they also cut "Wing It Like Witches"? They are on Disney+ Hotstar, which allows adult content (The Owl House is a kids show, but if a kids show with LGBTQ content is brought over to another country, they either ban it, heavily edit it, or bump up the age rating).

I thought the mushrooms were pretty innocent, and yes, they are cute.
What do the Chinese think of them.
Optimism is a duty.As I recall, this is the first time I've heard of the Mushrooms being problematic, most probematic element of Fantasia is the Centaurette that's a racist stereotype and they actually digitally removed from the movie
New theme music also a boxI'm hearing all this hubbub about problematic characters all of a sudden is because Biden is too boring and white to demonize. Years of writing him off as sleepy and senile means he can't be the boogeyman now, so it's back to the culture wars.
So since we have four more years of this boring white old man, we can expect a lot more of this talk.

Optimism is a duty.Actually, there were originally a bunch of black male zebra-centaurs in the film, too. They appeared mostly in a scene where they polish the hooves of the pastel male centaurs. there's nothing notably racist about their design, really; they look just like all the other centaurs, only with brown skin, kinky hair, and zebra hindquarters. The problem arises in that they're in a servile role to the pastel colored centaurs. They were cut immediately after the film's first run in theaters. Pay close attention when watching that segment in Fantasia, and you'll notice there are quite a number of cuts in it (they generally cover it well, but if you look you can tell), and at least one time where they reuse some animation of the little cupids flying around to cover a larger cut.
I believe that there are still at least two black female centaurs in the film, the ones carrying Bacchus when he shows up.

Presumably because "Wing It" is more comedic and goofy, and thus easier to play off (or overlook), whereas "Grom" and "Understanding" are more dramatic and blatant about their content.
They could probably do some ridiculous creative rewriting for the Malay dub that removes the subtext from "Wing It," but there's no way they could write away the clear overtones in "Grom" so they just binned it entirey.
With the way the characters are progressing, I assume a lot of the next season is going to get the same treatment in less tolerant countries.

"The difference between reality and fiction is that fiction has to make sense." - Tom Clancy, paraphrasing Mark Twain.Since they just started things in late season 1, you might expect a good chunk of season 2 to be cut, depending on how much they keep focusing on... was it Lumity? Never been good with ship names. And may god help the show once it's made official.

Wake me up at your own risk. The official ship name is Lumity. In any case, if foreign dubs tried to change up Luz's gender, then they'd have to deal with how she's bisexual due to how she's blushed in front of both male and female characters, to give an example.
That reminds of Steven Universe where some dubs tried to change Ruby into a boy but then had to handle her wearing a dress to her wedding.

So here's something strange. At the end of March, Disney XD will start to air 101 Dalmatian Street. The show has been airing in many countries since the UK showed it back in December 2018 and was available on Disney Plus last year. I'm guessing it's meant to be filler space given how Duck Tales is ending soon and all Disney XD has left for premieres will be anime.
Accidental representation!
Optimism is a duty.Alongside a way to promote their upcoming "Cruella" movie.
Here's an actual promo for 101 Dalmatian Street's U.S. premiere on Disney XD.
There's going to be an animated Descendants special this summer.

Descendants should have been animated from the get-go, tbh.
Jason has come back to kill for Mommy.Without Cameron Boyce. That's gonna hurt a bit.
Wake me up at your own risk.Has Snow White become problematic?
https://rossstewart.net/winnie-the-pooh-pilot-concepts/
I found these images from the website of Ross Stewart. He made images for a pilot for a Winnie The Pooh series from Cartoon Saloon.
Pooh and co. are supposed to live in the 100 Acre Wood. Wonder what's up with the suburban housing? Are they taking the "imaginary talking toys" in a more literal sense, showing the toys inhabiting Christopher Robin's world, rather than him visiting theirs?
Here's something interesting I discovered. Outside of silent cameos in Mickey's Christmas Carol and House Of Mouse, the only notable animated appearances of Minnie's nieces Millie and Melody are in the Disney Junior shows (Minnie's Bow Toons, Mickey Mouse Clubhouse, Mickey And The Roadster Racers/Mickey Mouse Mixed Up Adventures). On the flip side, Huey, Dewey, and Louie never made any appearances there, only the older skewing stuff like both Duck Tales series, House Of Mouse, and Mickey Mouse 2013.

What about Mickey's nephews, Mortie and Ferdie?
I think they've only made cameos in other projects.
The last semi-major appearance they had was in the Halloween special for the Rudish Mickey shorts.

Talking about racism in Disney movies: I watched the clip of the dancing mushrooms from Fantasia, and somebody commented "Finally, something really cute and innocent" on it. I have no idea if it was a naive person or a troll, but it got massive backlash...note
