Not me. Vale was never a particularly interesting location and neither was Beacon, really — it felt like a regular high school with rocket lockers and spars thrown in. I don't wish there had been another season of the heroes hanging out in Vale, although I wouldn't have minded an episode or two of them actually learning something in Beacon or fighting against each other in a non-comedic manner.
Apathy is Death. Worse than Death, because at least a rotting corpse feeds beasts and insects. And now we have ANOTHER jackass harassing the writers of the show with an award winning question: "How are you destroying Monty's legacy this time?"
...There's really nothing I can say here. What the hell is wrong with these people?
If you can't handle being outed by a signature, that's on you.To much free time, they think their funny, the internet rewards being an asshole, we lack the technology to kick people in the genitals when they act like a jerk online.
Not Vale per say,but I do think some extra time in Beacon Academy would be beneficial.
I feel if they had more time they could have use the school setting to better explain some of the shows basic concepts (Aura, dust semblance etc). We've have a much better understanding of them.

I don't think having more time there would've made a difference. It's not about having more, but about how well you use the time you have. And if they've proven anything over the series, it's that they can't use their time well.
Conceptually, the idea of us not getting everything is fine too, IMO. Or at least, it would IF explored more with the idea of Incompletely Trained and learning in the field. We had some of that, though it shows how poorly it's executed in season 5.
Anyone who pulls that Monty stuff is a jackass. They didn't ruin Monty's legacy or anything like that. I've said this in the past and I will again: Monty's wasn't perfect. What he added with the action bits were definitely cool, but his Rule of Cool mentality over everything else harmed the series early on too. He wasn't a writer and it showed at times, particularly when it came to Author Appeal, his refusal to create an actual outline for the season, or him forcing things in purely because he thought it was cool. I think he falls into the same problems the others do. The state of it was inevitable because they're learning as they go. I mean, any writer is learning as they go on a work, but their starting place with the learning is not in the ideal place.

Improving as an author, one video at a time.RWBY was never well written or planned out at any point, so people really need to drop this narrative that Monty's vision was ruined.
So due to a certain dumb RWBY comic wentand blew up the RWBY reddit I ended up finding out that both Nolan North and Troy Baker are doing a show for Rooster Teeth and as a result quite a few people seem to think that Troy is a shoe-in for the next Qrow. Given his range I wouldn't be disappointed (even if I was hoping for Quinton Flynn personally), but we're probably not going to find out until RTX anyway.
Heh, I remember all my complaints about the series exploding at the season 2 finale and almost rage-quitted the series, and Monty was still alive and in charge back then.
Then again, few months after Breach, Avengers: Age of Ultron aired and I got so pissed at that movie and almost rage-quitted MCU altogether.
I think I was going through a very complaining phase of my life around late 2014 and early to mid 2015.

I'm a (socialist) professional writer serializing a WWII alternate history webnovel.I'd ask what about that comic made reddit blow up, but I know better than to expect logic out of this subject.
Oh. Dumb rwby. I watched a video from someone named Hero hei about this comic. For some reason, I thought that someone else did the comic, since it didn’t show up in the video.
Anyway, even if there was a reference in the show itself, it would depend on how it’s said and in what context. Although, it might not matter because people on both sides would then read into it as more than just as a reference and argue based on their interpretation.
[DATA LOST]Hero Hei is one of those obnoxious youtubers who ended up on Vic's side of of the harassment debacle, so I'm not inclined to care about his opinion.
So... I'm gonna opt out of this debate and stick to troping.
Namely, do you believe Adam is candidate for From Nobody to Nightmare? According to the description we were given, he was essentially a slave before he took over the entire terrorist organization and became a mass-murderer who gets multiple nations to rally against him. Guy deserves some credit for sticking to his dreams.
Apathy is Death. Worse than Death, because at least a rotting corpse feeds beasts and insects.Seems like it fits him pretty well. I don't have any objections towards it.
@dRoy
Is hardly call the fact People make some Big Drama about any Details with the show, and make Conspiracy theories that they didn't care about Monty The creators fault.
Things are really about to get Fun around hereI don't know how many people here watch Death Battle but the next one is going to be Weiss Vs Mitsuru Kirijo from Persona 3
i only put the next fight in spoiler because the do it on the Death Battle thread.

I don't know the latter character, but I'm still going to root for them, because I enjoy seeing Weiss get her ass handed to her. Not from any malice, it's just kind of amusing to watch her lose.
Apathy is Death. Worse than Death, because at least a rotting corpse feeds beasts and insects.God, I remember hating the whole Yang vs Tifa fight. I am not going to get into the details, but just gonna say that I'm not looking forward to this.
I'm a (socialist) professional writer serializing a WWII alternate history webnovel.... Yeah, Weiss is totally going to get demolished- (remembers Yang vs. Tifa) .... actually I don't know anymore.
Also, sorry for the radio silence, gang. I still haven't seen the latest volume so I couldn't really participate in discussion much nor have I contributed with the work pages.
A cruel, sick joke is still a joke, and sometimes all you can do is laugh. You don't need to apologize. Real life always comes first.
I haven't heard of anyone being arrested for harassment of the creators in this fandom, but it's very clear and very visible that the creators do get harassed, and that they're becoming increasingly impatient with that.
Personally, I don't think this fandom is anywhere near being 'fine'. The problem with trying to define the 'worst fandom' is that what's classified as 'worst' requires clarification. For example, your post deals with the concept of the fandom being the worst for harassing creators. Meanwhile, I'd say that the fandom is one of the worst I've encountered for acting self-entitled.
I don't really know who Troy Baker is to be honest. I know the fandom got all excited about his small role in Volume 3, but I don't have any clue why. I've never heard of him before. As a result, I have no idea if he'd make a good Qrow. I don't think we'll know if anyone works as Qrow until we see the episodes.
That said, I did end up thinking throughout gen:LOCK that, if Rooster Teeth had to go in-house for a Qrow actor, then Gray Haddock might be able to pull it off. But that's based on his performance as Leon. I don't know what his range is like. I'm also not looking for someone to 'replace Vic'. I'm looking for someone who be Qrow. When Neath took on Ren, he didn't try to be Monty. He made Ren his own and — there's no easy way to say this — I far prefer Neath's voice. That's what I'm looking for in Qrow: someone who can make Qrow their own.
I wouldn't trope him based on our current knowledge. We don't know if he was ever a 'non-badass' (and, remember, fight capability or training isn't the sole measure of how someone could be classified as a 'badass'). We only have hints for the moment about that back story — and the trope needs more than hints because that path is the point of the trope.
I think he's a potential example, something to keep on the watch list and revisit if we learn more about his origins, how he got the brand and at what point he began to fight back. Even the character short doesn't give us the origin story we need for this trope. He'd already got his smart clothes by then. It was the start of his mask, but it wasn't the start of him.
What do people want the next character short to concentrate on and why?
I think the next character short needs to be Oscar. It's not simply because they skipped his runaway moment in Argus, but the things he said when he came back with the new clothes make it clear that Volume 7 should see the Oscar situation actually begin to happen, and a character short could help set that up.

If my post doesn't mention a giant flying sperm whale with oversized teeth and lionfish fins for flippers, it just isn't worth reading.Without knowledge of the latest volume? I second Oscar. He felt more like a rushed plot device to get Ozpin back in the game than an actual character with conflicting agency in the situation. A short would be a start to rectifying that.

A cruel, sick joke is still a joke, and sometimes all you can do is laugh.I have bad news for you.
Considering wherer we're going, I'd say we're getting either another Schnee or Ironwood. While Winter would be a nice character to get more info on, I would personally like to see a short about Watts. He's one of the biggest blanks we have yet to fill at this point intime, and he seems to have potential.
Granted, last time I said a character had potential we got Hazel, but still, I can hope.
... Bad news as in I'm wrong or bad news as in it's worse than I think?
A cruel, sick joke is still a joke, and sometimes all you can do is laugh.I say we need one for Cinder and Neo they both came back and both need backstory more the I want power or I want revenge
Seems more like problems with the series itself and the creators, rather than the fandom.
Oh well, to each to their own I guess. -shrugs-
Anyhow, who here thinks that the story should have set in Beacon/Vale for longer, like at least for a couple more seasons?
