I beat this last night. That ending, man...
"Hipsters: the most dangerous gang in the US." - Pacific MackerelThis is how we do it It's friday niiight, and I feel alriiight... the party's here on the west side!
The ending song makes up for the piss-poor rendition of "Opposites Attract".
You know, I thought it was stupid upon first viewing, but you know what, I just ripped out the head and spine of an alien warlord who blew up my homeplanet and I took over his whole goddamn empire. This song pretty much covers what I've felt like after beating each game.

Akira Toriyama (April 5 1955 - March 1, 2024).I liked the part in Opposites Attract where Pierce starts breaking it down and femboss1 was just going "how the fuck do you know all this?????"
"Never let the truth get in the way of a good story." TwitterJust finished Enter the Dominatrix.
Raptors? Rebooting the DLC is the kind of meta joke I'd expect from Volition, but seriously? The boss riding a raptor out of the simulation and the entire gang being honoured by the raptor king?
Seriously, what the hell did I just watch?
noisivelet naht nuf erom era srorrimHow the Saints Save Christmas was pretty... meh. It was pretty much meh. So yeah, meh.
And now I want to see rule 34 of Fun Shaundi, Shaundi and Future Shaundi.

Signatures are for lamers. Finally took the plunge on this and the Season Pass thanks to the stupidly high discount I got at Gamefly.
80 percent off? It would be rude of me not to.
Hmm. NO new posts?
Ah well, down to me then.
Just checking in to see if anyone else hates the hacking mini-game? It is testing my limited pattern recognition skills far beyond what they are capable of.
It gets a little irritating later on, yeah. I didn't really start to struggle until... 25, I think? But yeah, after that it gets brutal.
It wasn't as bad as I thought it would be. With the game being one big simulation, it was bound to happen at some point.
I'm just glad it wasn't something like the hacking in Bio Shock 2.

It was okay. The fact I seemed to insist on waiting to do it until I was under heavy fire probably wasn't helping anyone.
Also, since my memory for the older games' soundtracks sucks, were there any A Day To Remember tracks on... any of the games?

Curse the ill fortune that led you to me.Kanye West's Power. Fits that brief perfectly for me. I would go so far as to say that watching the trailer set to that song made me really more into buying the game than I was otherwise going to be.

"Never let the truth get in the way of a good story." TwitterSo I finally got around to playing this game. I actually enjoyed it a lot more than I anticipated. As weird as this sounds though I'm going to say that it's biggest flaw is that it is a Saints Row game. It's fun as hell, but all the Continuity Porn ends up hindering it. I almost wish Voilition would've just straight up made it a Super Hero game.
Well, it is the last game in this continuity. I don't know where they could go next with the Saints as we know them after either ending. Unless they want to do a massively multiplayer crossover with the Riddickverse and show the Saints being the ones that kick Richard out of the Necromongers throne or something because they like the whole idea of having the biggest empire thing.
i would kind of like a fresh start?
i guess i kind of miss having to build yourself back up to awesome ala saints row 2. saints row 3 and 4 instead just upping the ante is fun i guess but when it comes to what kind of storyline i find more awesome, i think from nobody to nightmare is cooler than "big bad thats in way over their heads deals a surprisingly un-crippling blow to protagonists" (although saints row 4's plotline was significantly more awesome than saints row 3's.
I think they should both double down and scale things back. Here's my idea: After the Earth was destroyed in SR 4, the Saints strike out to find a world of their own. Along the way, they realize that because of Zinyak's time machine, they can still save everyone. So, at Jane Austen's insistence, they do. They call this planet New Earth, found a capital city on it called New Stillwater, and then jet. You play as an up-and-coming gangster in this futuristic, alien-filled metropolis, operating out of the slum known as New Saints Row. Doubles as a title. So, mechanically, they'd take it back more to SR 2, but with more sci-fi trappings, and a whole new cast.
I hope that's the plot of saints row 5
"Never let the truth get in the way of a good story." Twitterthat would be awesome.
I think they should go with multiple playable characters in the next game, like GTA V, but instead of 3 human(oid) characters, make one of them CID, still with the sphere body but upgraded with massive amounts of fire power.
I didn't like Saints Row 2. The Boss was way too much of a twat to be likeable and I felt uncomfortable wearing his/her skin, to be honest.
I finished the main campaign, and most of the DLC and gave up on it. Rebooting V to the same sort of thing that 2 was would be a retrograde step in my view.
Oh, btw, finally finished ALL THE HACKINGZ.

except i wasnt talking about bringing back an unlikable protagonist.
i was talking about the progression from a nobody to a somebody at the top.
2 starts with the saints as basically defunct and you have to work to get everything back.
3 begins with the saints recieving a crippling blow and...it affecting them for all of 2 or 3 missions before you're already back to normal.
by that point, the syndicate is very much outta their league and are pretty terrible villains. STAG is better, but not by much.
zinyak is way better as he's definitely a significant threat and obviously higher on the totem pole, but even his attempt to cripple the saints is...pathetic.
i understand that upping the ante is pretty awesome, but i would prefer to start off weak and up the ante later, not right at the start.
This. I prefer the Boss's more anti-heroish incarnations to the sociopath in 2, but I'd still like them to revert a little bit to the underdog story.
Just finished the story campaign. I gotta say I enjoyed it. Though I should have bothered to upgrade the Alien weapons as when I needed to use them they were crap.
I got the Golden ending, though, which was nice.
Playing another open-world sandbox game that doesn't let you run up the sides of skyscrapers and fly from one island to another with just a super glide will be a hell of a let down after this.
http://kotaku.com/volition-announces-new-saints-row-1628512500 so this is a thing. guess it was about time they put the saints in saints row
i was watching my cousins play GTAV and turning on cheats. i was like "lol this is how high you can jump with moon gravity and super jump turned on?" and "lol you have to turn on a cheat to explode people when you punch?"
