Oh yeahhhh.

Brings me back to when this series had no need for an Eldritch Abomination to be involved to actually have a villain.

I bet the next Mystery Dungeon will have an Eldritch Abomination, but the plot will be hijacked by a Pokemon.

Yeah. Hopefully we do come back to those days. The only thing that might be bad about doing it is how they are going to get an average run of the mill Pokemon (lets be honest even legendarys are kinda stale at this point) to compare to an Eldritch Abomination

My vote for the next PMD final boss, with how they're shaking up the usual things we've come to expect, is that it'll be a human. Whether or not it's a human turned Pokemon, a human turned Eldritch Abomination or human using technology to fight, we'll just have to wait and see.

A "mecha" is actually an awesome idea for a PMD boss.

If they do it, I bet it'll have a Green Aesop too. And if it'll be piloted by a Pokemon or human or human-turned-Pokemon or just a human soul, that's more cool.

Perhaps the next game will be a pokemon world with humans before pokeballs have been invented and trainers use... other means of captureing pokemon (thus giving plot and reason for the humans to exist in this hypothetical game). Feels like it would be a poorly executed example of Humans Are the Real Monsters though.

I'd like to see two things in pokemon.

A Pokemon world league that features every region, Would be viable but would require a larger than average cartridge.

Also I would love to see a Difficulty system in pokemon, Like say a Hard or Master Difficulty that makes Gym Leaders brutal Give their pokemon stat boosts to make them boss tier battles would help and to require proper strategy to beat.

Black and White 2 had an easy and hard mode.

Playing the whole game with hard mode activated was amazing.

the every region thing would be horrendous. Even just two regions was awful gameplay and balance-wise.

Is it possible in any of the games besides GTI to determine the gender of the partner Pokemon?

In SMD you can select Cute! for girl or Cool! for guy, but it doesn't affect the dialogue. Only the gender differences of the partner. The most obvious is Pikachu's tail, but some evolved starters do have gender differences.

I'm pretty sure it affected some pronouns in the school section of the game.

I remember actively looking for pronouns and not catching any, but I could've missed them.

Is it possible to make a team without the player and partner pokemon in Explorers after graduating from the guild? I remember being able to do that in the Rescue Team games, but this doesn't seem to be an option.

EDIT: Apparently I'm blind because I was able to see the standby option for everyone else and not the main characters

There is still a bit of story after you Grad so for that bit as far as I'm aware no. However since I've never managed to beat Dialga at Temporal Tower I honestly have no 100% answer on if you can.

So I've got a question; relating to the end of Pokemon: Super Mystery Dungeon.

Apparently you and your partner planned to wipe your memories so that you'd face Dark Matter in a fresh state. Briefly ignoring how dumb of a decision that is; how did you even managed to get your memory wiped at the time that it happened, considering that your partner is busy believing they're [insert partner's name here]?

It could be a legitimate plot-hole, but I wanted to ask here, just in case there's something I missed.

Has anyone around here actually managed to get through Sacred Ruins? And if so then how?

Longest I ever made it was to lvl 29 with Zapdos, I was all "ooh I might actually make it this tim-[off-screen Pyroar used Hyper-beam]

(I really loved the game, though, there were a few niggles but gameplay-wise I think it might be my favourite one overall, I hope they get to make another one at some point)

At that time your partner was Mew (not the same as the one which is your postgame buddy in the present). Your partner wiped your memory then its own. Xerneas restored your partner's memories before the credits.

I didn't bother, I was scared.

But wasn't the partner in Serene Village long before you came there? It'd be pretty weird if he was just as new to town as you are, considering that there's absolutely no indication of such.

Our partner is adopted by Carracosta since it can remember. Also player/partner are children so it couldn't be that long since they were born. Plus, the previous battle with Dark Matter was a thousand years ago so some time travel + transformation on the part of the player, plus reincarnation on the part of Mew, was involved.

And it could be that the time frame where the player and partner ended up could be slightly different from each other, so at the start of the game, the player ended up right there and was intercepted and beaten up by Nuzleaf and co., but by that time, the partner probably was adopted years ago by Carracosta.

didn't the player fight against Nuzleaf and the Beheeyem just before losing their memory? I'd leave it as them wiping it if partner/Mew didn't explicitly mention that he and player agreed to wiping their own memories.
