hey there! I’m an avid feminist who’s always consuming feminist media. Anyone have any good book recommendations? thanks!
I, Furudo Erika... have duct tape..!Well how are you defining Feminist books?
That being said I'm actually terrible at book recomendations despite reading a lot, maybe someone else has a suggestion.
Not entirely sure, either, what you're after, Atiredonnie, but here are some results of a quick search:
- Feminist Frequency recommended media
- Feministing; results of a search
- Feminist Current, albeit very negative towards trans-people overall, has a list of books that don't seem to have that same problem about them
- Bitch Media also has its book section
- I could find some results on the Zero Books' search. Unlike that of Feministing, I wasn't able to copy the search results here for some reason.
- Some replies to a similar question on Quora
- Then there are lists by The Guardian, Buzzfeed, Huffington Post and Mic.com.
- Book Riot
- AutoStraddle
Don't know if any of these is near what you had in mind, but this is what I could find.
Oh looking at recomended lists is probably a good plan thank you for compiling them Mikael.

thank you! ^-^
I, Furudo Erika... have duct tape..!Okay, I'm gonna ask something potentially controversial.
What do you think of Zionesses (Zionist feminists)?
P.S. Any Zionist feminist is welcome to speak their mind, too. In any case I'd like this to not become a flame war.

Books: Anything written by *Alison Bechdel or *Jane Austen. Actually almost anything written by any female, including JKR and HCM, just because.
Def: If I have an uterus/vagina and I want to be the one who decides what goes into it : then I'm a feminist. So yes, I guess most females are feminists.
Not everyone with a vagina's exempt from sexism and misogyny.
And someone who's less discriminating in what goes in still suffers from discrimination on that axis.
TV Tropes's No. 1 bread themed lesbian. she/her, fae/faer@Bisected: This Progressive Army -article might be your cup of tea?
I didn't post this earlier, did I?
Why would it be?
It's certainly interesting, but I don't fall within the target audience.

TV Tropes's No. 1 bread themed lesbian. she/her, fae/faerIt does mention at the end how a woman can be sexist, though.
Okay, maybe I made a bit of a stretch. Nevermind.
Or were you perhaps responding to the Zioness-comment?
I was pointing out that not all women have vaginas, and that consent also applies to vagina owners who don't care what's inserted (this would be a very specific case, but it's an immutable right).
I'd also criticise Rowling's credentials as a feminist writer, but that's besides the point.

TV Tropes's No. 1 bread themed lesbian. she/her, fae/faerBoth things I did not claim. HCM is probably worse than JKR. Nevertheless. Silvia
Just found this one : https://tvtropes.org/Main/FeministFantasy Wanted to share. Enjoy!s12
Oh yeah I heard he made TER Fs a slur comment earlier. It's weird there can't be that many male TER Fs (as opposed to more general Transphobes there are plenty of those).
