I think it was just a one-time thing from one of the animated specials.
Wasn't she the one Snoopy was about to marry, but he got cold feet and called it off at the last moment?
No, she left him at the altar. For Spike. Who was Snoopy's best man, by the way.
Of course, don't you know anything about ALCHEMY?!- Twin clones of Ivan the GreatAt this point, is it even worth complaining at how the Little Red-Haired Girl wasn't ever seen in the comics?
I liked Peggy Jean better anyway.
Agree, A Boy Named Charlie Brown anyone? Unless, they were talking about this is the first time in decades since the Peanuts gang had a theatrical movie. I think the last theatrical movie was made during either the 70s or the 80s, so this might be the first time in decades since they had a film.
I love animation, TV, movies, YOU NAME IT!The Peanuts have had some 4 or 5 theatrical movies.
Maybe the someone who wrote that ridiculously thought "Those previous films aren't CGI, so they don't count."
Which, while I wouldn't rule out as a possibility, it is far more likely that yeah, they're simply ignorant.
Or the writer wasn't alive when the last film was released. :D
So you're saying we should just be damned happy they even know what Peanuts is?
Confirmed Bachelors: the dramedy hit of 1883!In this day and age, I wouldn't doubt that there are people working in the industry who know little about Peanuts.
I dunno, I feel like the trailer we got demonstrated some pretty decent understanding, at least as far as the franchise's aesthetics are concerned.
For the record, the film is written by Bryan and Craig Schulz, who I severely doubt fall under the category of "people working in the industry who know little about Peanuts".
Here's the article that confirms the involvement of the little red-haired girl and the poodle. Interestingly, it looks like the film is gonna take more pains to avoid Were Still Relevant Dammit than, say, It's Flashbeagle, Charlie Brown did. And it appears I was right about them using Bill Melendez stock audio rather than recasting Snoopy and Woodstock.

Maybe you'd be less disappointed if you stopped expecting things to be Carmen Sandiego movies. You KNOW I am talking about the millions of others in the business who do not have as popular positions or as big an impact on the movie. Like the writer who wrote the description for that teaser in the article.

This thread is weirdly quiet considering the film's out this week.
Maybe you'd be less disappointed if you stopped expecting things to be Carmen Sandiego movies. You gotta wait one more day, then see
Well, it's probably because everyone's been using this thread.
"Hey, gimme a minute to get to know everyone, 'kay, Brainy?" "Of course, but please allow me to get a word in, too, bzz."Is it still in the works?!
Since everyone else is using the other thread, would it be a bad idea to lock this one up?
Nah, no need for two threads - @92 has the link to the correct one. Locking.
