I feel it's almost certain that Rika will play Chopper and DM Robin, that being said it's entirely possible that's what I'm supposed to think and there will be a twist coming.

A min max martial artist who often clash with others (Zorro for instance) ? I says Sanji is the logical choice for DM: broken but not as much as Luffy. Chopper as a cleric could work for whoever is playing the ill girl.

I say Robin because she starts off as a villain and then joins the crew, that seems to fit DM considering her actions in this arc. Not that she can't be Sanji, I just don't see her going from Kuro to Sanji especially as she hasn't really clashed with Cory this arc.

Yeah, it seems like a natural fit for Rika to play Chopper, and DM Robin... but I keep wondering if maybe she'll give us a new spin on Vivi first. Or maybe that's just letting her signature color influence my thinking.

Sanji could be a good fit for her, too. New people've gotta come in sometime; the question's just "When?" and "For who?"

Robin doesn't seems that natural a choice for DM. She is not broken enough for DM, doesn't have enough default for a minmaxer's character, and also doesn't come after a lot of arc.

Sanji's not a natural choice for DM either. DM is just too much of a Blood Knight to make the Sanji character work. I mean, Luke acts pretty much exactly like Luffy, and while Cory is different you can still easily picture him as Zoro.

Hell, DM could very well just not work for this group at all. I mean, so far DM's shown that she's got no compunctions over backstabbing her own allies for the sake of XP, which is immediately at odds with everyone else.

I think DM's going to be Franky.

Yes, it's a long way off, but it just fits too well. Franky is a do-anything cyborg who's head of a well-off gang and starts out as an antagonist who can go toe-to-toe with Luffy (before sliding into the "supporting character" status). I can easily see his various ridiculous weapons being DM's attempt to min-max, especially since he gets one of the biggest upgrades of the crew post time-skip. Plus, his hair's kinda the right shade of blue.

My guess is that the GMPC will be Mihawk, hence Cory's hatred leads to a battle.

While the context implies Sanji, I just can't really connect him with DM. She's an asshole, she's just not the right kind of asshole for that part.

Maybe Gin?

For Sanji as a characters for DM :

• He is a Min Maxer (powerful character with some debilitating flaws) and the last of the straw hats to be one. The other character are more reasonable both in term of power level and flaws.
• He can be railroaded by other like Zorro is, thanks his default (absolute chivalry: you have to obey and rescue every women on your side, and can't fight women ever).
• He is quite independent of other and must often be coerced by his flaws to act. Especially at the beginning where it took most of the arc to make him join the crew.

And yeah, short of this being a Red Herring set-up, it looks like this Emily girl might become our Sanji. Now, is that the girl Cory played that fighting game with?

Which could also mean that Catherine is a name that'll become important in the future, given how the two of them were name-dropped at the start of the arc. Getting the old crew back together as part of the new crew?
