That intro had me rolling on the floorgrin

First the only 2 negative points that come to my mind: JWS's Flash had what, 2 minutes of screentime? Hope he comes back in the finale.

Ruby Rose as Kate Kane didn't really impress me.....but that changed when she suited up!

It was a real fun ride. Also, Oliver not believing in Batman, seriously? x) This crossover also gave me hope, with Malcolm Merlyn showing up, maybe that will be the full extend of his 'return' and he'll go away again when reality is back to normal.

All them Batfamily easter eggs....I really hope the Batwoman shows makes the best of it. I'm curious when it will start.

Black Supes off course was the highlight. I'm getting some serious Injustice vibes.

Given how it looks, if Bruce appeared, Oliver would be trying really hard to look like the alpha male, and most likely hilariously failing.

I suspect after how unimpressive they were to her in this ep, Kate will not be jumping to team up with either Oliver or Barry if she can help it.

I mean, they were in each other's lives, so perhaps they could explain that to her? But you know, I would love it if future crossovers did one Green Arrow/Flash crossover and one Supergirl/Batwoman crossover. And then maybe one episode with all of them.

That would be pretty hard to explain really. And I can see why they didn't bother. She'd probably just think they were acting stupid, or say it's none of her business.

I'd love some Supergirl/Batwoman only crossover. They had a great chemistry.

Based on what we saw, there's not an Earth-90. Not anymore.

Zoom claimed there were infinite earths. Although, that was back in Flash S2 when the multiverse was first introduced, so perhaps we can excuse it as Early-Installment Weirdness.

I liked this one more than Part 1. Feels like we're breaking newer ground.

  • ...I can't remember if Oliver did the Flash intro or not. I'm going to have to go back and check that. This Barry one was hilarious.
  • Miss Rain On Your Parade: If you're here to compare grappling hooks with Batman you're out of luck.
  • Oliver refuses to believe in the Batman. [lol]
  • The B-plot (aka the non-Batwoman, Arrow, Kara, Barry parts) of this episode were dull. Felicity has to be pulled out of The Masquerade for dumb reasons. Let's not tell Oliver's wife because clearly she'd be overwhelmed if she knew about the Freaky Friday. Glad they nipped that quickly.
  • Maybe I wasn't paying attention during the last 5 seasons of Arrow but since when did Felicity have an understanding of quantum physics - to the degree that she's the one to propose that they take advantage of the dimensional breach-whozawazits before either Cisco or Caitlyn did.
  • Oliver: (steals data from the GCPD database) -blames Barry for it- [lol]
  • After everything they've been through and that Felicity has done, all of that, and we're dealing with more relationship drama about how Felicity can't excuse Oliver's behavior.
  • Kara's not worried about Kate having Kryptonite somewhere even after Oliver somehow got his hands on kryptonite during Invasion hmm?
  • ...did Kate just hit on Kara?
  • I like how they keep up the confusion of Barry being Oliver, and vice-versa. John slips at one point and calls Oliver Barry because, yeah, continuity.
  • The obligatory cameos of multiple DC baddies on various Arkham Asylum rooms - except you won't see any of those faces until you watch Batwoman. How big must the asylum be that none of the signature Bat-rogues managed to get in on that prison riot?
  • So Oliver doesn't trust himself enough to super-speed recon the terrain, and isn't skilled enough to brake, or to catch Deegan before he escapes - but he's able to grasp phasing (the thing that took other speedsters time to learn), and he's able to super-speed take all of Barry's clothes off and put his Green Arrow suit on?
  • Fear Gas fight [tup][tup]
  • (Kara: She really is like Batman.) Moments after Kara says this she finds out Batwoman's identity. And Kate smiles after realizing this. Something Batman almost never does.
  • Batwoman: World's Finest.
    • [tup]
    • ...[tdown]
    • ..[tup][tdown]?
  • Barry and Oliver's bromance continues.
  • I know that this is the Arrow episode and things need to be in tune with the going-ons' of Arrow. I appreciate that they spend today's plot in ARGUS. Weaving Oliver and Felicity's romance into the... narrative... is smart. But I can't stand their relationship. Every second of it infuriates me. Six seasons of this CW, SIX - SEASONS!
  • Woah, incoming Jay Ga... Barry Allen from Earth 90 with the exposition dump.
  • I'd assumed that The Monitor iwas actually the Anti-Monitor and The Monitor rolled into one character, and that this was the "COIE" condensed into a TV crossover. But I guess we've still got the actual crisis that The Monitor was worried about to look forward to. So, maybe Barry and Kara are safe. For now.
  • So... the Monitor just disintegrated a Flash and everybody present looks totally composed.
  • What the f- so basically nobody could stop The Monitor and the whole quest to find him and the book was pointless. Maybe if you gave the book to somebody other than a eugenics crackpot you'd find Earth 1 more impressive. Monitor's plan is stupid.
  • Trigger Twins, huh. What's that from?
  • Malcom and Diaz arresting Oliver. Heh. Love Oliver's instant leap to violence when Diaz started cuffing him.
  • Superman in all-black. Okay, I like where this is going.
  • I have no flipping idea where this is going.
  • To be continued on Supergirl are you telling me I have to wat... god damn it.
  • What, no Legends this crossover?

I’m yet to be impressed by the Batwoman herself. Nothing was really wrong with her, but the writers were trying way too hard to sell us on what a badass she is. Cisco and Caitlin, both veteran superheroes, had rather over-the-top reactions to what really isn’t anymore impressive than what Sara, Oliver, or Alex can do.

This is kind of par the course as far as Bat-character introductions go.

Batman gets to humiliate the more powerful heroes (Justice League War) to establish himself as a valuable part of the team, or be full of Informed Ability (Green Lantern thinking he can fly). Kate just walks in, everybody thinks she's King Badass, and we get a nice shot of her taking out Arrow and Flash simultaneously because that would validate her appearance in this crossover.

Heck, this Freaky Friday flip might be due to the show writers wanting to make Batwoman more credible. Oliver and Barry in the correct bodies with Kara and Diggle backing them up wouldn't have had any problem dealing with the prison riot. Realistically Supergirl makes Oliver and Barry unnecessary.

Overall though, I liked finally seeing Batwoman in action, and I liked this better than Part 1 now that we have some semblance of what's going on. Though, Garrick got Put on a Bus real fast, assuming that this is only 3 episodes long.

Moments after Kara says this she finds out Batwoman's identity. And yet... Kate smiles after realizing this. Something Batman almost never does.

Batman smiles more than you think. He's characteristically broody and cold, yeah, but he's not chronically incapable of friendliness.

Trigger Twins, huh. What's that from?

A pair of Jonah Hex-esque DC Western heroes. And later a pair of Western throwback supervillains.

Which is a cool double gag, as they're heroes who everyone thinks are villains.

I realized that, too, and remembered that it was Earth-2 Wells who had stated it and that he was probably just wrong.

After everything they've been through and that Felicity has done, all of that, and we're dealing with more relationship drama about how Felicity can't excuse Oliver's behavior.
I think that was less "I can't excuse my husband's behavior" and more "How did I not recognize my own husband when Iris did?"

...did Kate just hit on Kara?
Most definitely.

So... the Monitor just disintegrated a Flash and everybody present looks totally composed.
Not disintegrated — he sent him through a portal, presumably back to Earth-90. He does it with Kara, too, sending her back a few feet.

Trigger Twins, huh. What's that from?
Comics, of course.

What, no Legends this crossover?
They decided to skip it.

I fear for Oliver's safety depending on what deal he made with the Monitor. Let's see if he acts any differently for the rest of the season.

I finally caught up today for the crossover, which I also watched today. Was I the only one hoping that NGA would turn out to be Future!William, maybe brought back with Nora? It seemed like the obvious reveal, sure, but it could be used to avert the Bad Future the city is heading for. Right now, the future storyline just seems like a long list of terrible things that will inevitably happen.

Emiko could be interesting, though. Someone mentioned maybe Oliver could die so that Stephen Amell could retire, and she could take over.

I was about to say that I don't think Arrow would integrate time travel into their major story arcs, but then I remembered that one of the main characters is a superpowered doppelganger from a parallel universe, so maybe that's not so farfetched.

Still, you'll notice that the flashforwards so far have focused on the more tertiary characters: William, Roy, Dinah, and Zoe. We've heard a lot about Felicity in the flashforwards, but nothing from anyone with reliable, first-hand knowledge. No references to Oliver's present circumstances (even whether he's alive or dead) have been made, and John hasn't been mentioned at all. That seems to be them leaving their options open, so that the main leads' fates aren't set in stone.

I don't get how the Monitor could move the timetable of the Crisis from 2024 to 2019. Is he going to ask the Anti-Monitor to hurry up?

But we've seen that the newspaper changes whenever there are ripples in the timeline (the article used to be written by Iris West-Allen, but is now written by Julie Greer, etc). So if the timeline had moved up, the headline on the newspaper would have changed or the date on the newspaper would have changed.

God, I hate that stupid Geoff Johns retcon, that the Anti-Monitor's real name was "Mobius." Since they renamed the Monitor "Mar Novu" for the show, they should just name the Anti-Monitor "Dax Novu."
