Wait, how is individual stealth new? You could always send one specific character out ahead of the others.
"It's so hard to be humble, knowing how great I am."I don't know. The article doesn't do a good job explaining it.
I really hope it doesn't mean that scouting is no longer a party-wide toggle.
"It's so hard to be humble, knowing how great I am."The descriptions for the new companions match the two who were cut an awful lot.
Welcome back Forton and Cadegund?

Only one of them. Cadegund is still missing.
"It's so hard to be humble, knowing how great I am."I dunno about you guys, but the premise is awfully similar to Icewind Dale, expecially the second one. It actually had a a good writing despite being gameplay-focused, so we'll see...

Yeah, I see a lot of allusions to Icewind Dale coming with this expansion.
Official video on the features included for free in patch 2.0.
There's also a project update that talks about the new companions.
I have a feeling that Durance and the Devil of Caroc are really not going to like each other.
I think Zahua is a better name for a Monk than Forton. Also, the expansion not taking place after the ending makes a lot of sense as the default state of The Watcher has them going away, with or without a certain Orlan baby. And even if we get that out of the way and pretend The Watcher went to the snowy region, all the vanilla companions won't be avaliable because, ya know...
Also, just a reminder: If you buy Part 1, Part 2 is avaliable when it's done, no additional payment. It's treated as an entire package.

So it's like the Fallout: New Vegas expansion packs, where they take place canonically before the end of the main game.
Still not embarrassing enough to stan billionaires or tech companies.I was gifted this game by a friend, and so far I'm loving it. Some thoughts:
-So far, I'm pretty impressed by the sheer range in ways your race, class, culture and homeland can affect gameplay. For example, when I came across Aloth, it was impossible for me to resolve things peacefully due to my Moon Godlike being from The Empire.
-I initially wanted to make a beeline for Magran's Fork so I could get Durance, but seeing how high level the mobs there are, I decided to try to pick up Aloth and Eder first.
- Why is the only Rouge in the game a Mauve Shirt?
- I'm probably gonna side with Kolsc. He's a sleazeball to be sure, but Raedric's too far gone, and there's no guaruntee Gilded Vale will last long enough for him to eventually retract his tyrannical policies.
Shamelessly plugging my comics, Oh yes.Well, there IS going to be expansion you know So not the only rogue
I play as a death godlike rogue. Rogues are really REALLY powerful.

My current character is a Moon Godlike Paladin of the Kind Wayfayer Order. Surprisingly, despite the lore surrounding Godlikes, I haven't encountered any racism directed at my character outside a kid in Gilded Vale saying my face looks funny, but she was a kid, so I don't mind. Even Durance seems to treat me amicably (outside the whole "you asked me two questions now don't ask me anything else until after we've rested" thing).
Some more updates:
- I sided with the grainkeeper and convinced the drunks to back off. I told the grainkeeper to keep the money.
- I chose to trust Norton about Piery being an Asshole Victim and let him and Imeod leave peacefully. I declined Imeod's bribe, but she gave me a nifty ring anyway.
- I told Aurfye the truth about Ragna's "cure".
- I was attacked by some Gold Pact Paladins and discovered that animancers (I assume) are taking advantage of the chaos caused by Raedric in order to abduct peasants for experiments.
- I joined Kolsc and agreed to depose Raedric.

Nice. Though I've only just gotten to that castle in the first game XD
That is the face of a man who just ate a kitten. Raw.So now that both parts of the expansion are out, I've been replaying this game.
I love that they added Story Mode difficulty. I am terrible at this game, but I love the world building, the characters, and the different ways you can play the Watcher, so Story Mode makes this game much more fun.
I also like how they put a lot more effort into the Stronghold.
So I beat the White March. It went in a very unexpected direction. Seeking out a long lost dwarf fortress turns into fighting off the Lovecraftian forces of the usually benevolent goddess of the sea.
It was fun though, and I liked all the new companions.
Yay! I still need to do white march myself when I get money to buy the expansion stuff
I still need to start playing the game again xD
That is the face of a man who just ate a kitten. Raw.Just beat the game, White March Part 2 included I love how what looks like the second (third) coming of Icewind Dale ends with an alien invasion (except not), with ashen-skinned flesh golem automatons who wouldn't look out of place in The Day The Earth Stood Still and/or Hellraiser falling to Earth in what would appear to be meteors but are actually pieces of the goddamn *moon*, which was hurled at the Earth by the goddess of forgetfulness at the Godzilla-sized avatar of the god of smiths who was Taking the Bullet for a super-advanced forge which he used to build the ancient world...which he did with the assistance of aforementioned golems. There's so much going on in this mythology, and I love it.
And can I just say, I really like the storybook narrative sequences in this and Torment Tides Of Numenera? They really do add something that was missing to the isometric real-time-with-pause CRPG niche. And The White March has a couple that really step it up, particularly the burning house right after the ogre attacks at the beginning and the escape sequence at the very end.
Out of curiosity, what did other people roll for characters? I'm not going to have time to try everything, and I'm curious what the experience was like for the various races and backgrounds, as well as the many flavours of priest and paladin. Did anyone play a priest of Magran and finish Durance's personal quest? I kept seeing Clergyman options in dialogue, too, and given the late-game reveals, to say nothing of final twist, I was kinda dying to know what those were.
(For the curious, I played a Nature Godlike male Chanter (maxed out Benevolent, Diplomatic, and Clever reputations) and my endgame party was Eder, Pallegina, Durance, Aloth, and Grieving Mother.)

I rarely saw any options directed specifically at my god. Then again, I played as an Eothasian priest, and it's a bit hard to invoke the worship of a dead god.
Saw plenty of priest options though.
My endgame was almost the same as yours, though I substituted Durance for a Rogue I created myself, because Durance can go light himself on fire.

Still not embarrassing enough to stan billionaires or tech companies.
So the expansion will probably not take place after the game ends, you cannot do anything after beating the game itself. It just ends, and then you're directed to the main title screen.
