I like the cat with shadow powers :3 (and the hedgehog is good enough, I can work him into a minor role xp)

I'll PM you about integrating them into the fanfiction shortly.

Right. More Composite Sonic Timeline, this time with more comic stuff making its' way in. Again, any number of other stories could happen inbetween, but this is still the main series of events here.

COMPOSITE SONIC TIMELINE: PART 3 -In the wake of what will later be known as the Great War, the Acorn Kindgom has been devastated along with much of the rest of the world, though the good news is that this includes Robotnik and his empire on Little Planet. It's going to take a while for him to recuperate, which gives Mobius a chance to start getting back on its' feet. In the meantime, Sonic Rush starts, but rather than finding all of the Sol Emeralds within the span of a day, the emeralds wind up scattered all over the world after a bout of timey-wimey shannigans, and Blaze ends up trapped on in our dimension with no choice but to join the Freedom Fighters as she looks for the Emeralds. Also, Eggman Nega is from an alternate future like in Rivals, so in the meantime, that's where he's hiding out until Blaze and the others collect the Emeralds, upon which he plans on sidewinding them and taking them for himself. Why get them himself when he can have others do his dirty work?

-Around the same time, Silver also shows up, but rather than using his 06 plot, we'll be using the Archie version, where he claims that there's a traitor among the Freedom Fighters. (There is, or rather will be, but not in a way anyone thinks. Anyone who's read the comics should know where this is going.) He goes back and forth between his time and ours at first, but soon decides to stay in the present, both to find the traitor, but also because he's realized he's kept mucking things up and wants to make amends. He eventually returns to own time, much like Blaze and her own dimension, but he'll still be around for a while.

-06 happ— {is shot} Yeeeaaah, 06 ain't happening. The main reason I went with Silver's comic plot instead of his plotline in the games is because 06 isn't just bad in general, it's bad for a Sonic game, which is saying a lot. The only thing I'm using from that unholy abomination is Iblis, and he might not even actually show up. He's going to tie into Blaze's backstory, which is going to be delved into quite a bit over the course of her tenure in the series, but that's about it, and he's still going to be heavily reworked. (Though Zelenal will probably have a field day, I can tell you that much.tongue) Unless someone can think of a way to redeem that POS, 06 can go dye in the flames of Iblis for all I care. Even Shadow The Hedgehog had something redeeming to it. 06 ? Not so much.

-Back to the plot, though this next arc coming up might take some explaining. (Including several paragraphs worth.) This arc is based on a storyline from the comics, including a major player who I really haven't mentioned until now: Goeffery St. John. He's a top secret agent skunk and eventually head of the Acorn Kingdom's intelligence division in the Archie comics, and up until Ian Flynn came along, that's all he was. Then Ian Flynn came along. Turns out that Geoffery had loathed the Acorn lineage ever since his father died when he was a child, blaming it on the King and holding him responsible. He considered Max unfit to rule, and longed for a ruler that was.

-In Goeffery's moment of hopelessness and despair, in comes Ixis Naugus, a powerful sorcerer and rival in ambitions to Eggman, who threw him into the Void (another dimension,) in a bid to get rid of him. In spite of this, Naugus could still use his powers to speak to others beyond the Void, and senses Geoffery's loss and desperation. He discovers in Geoffery a most valuable pawn, one that, when the time was right, could not only free Ixis from the Void,(in this continuity,) but also help him gain the throne. Playing the broken and naive Geoffery like a fiddle, he manipulates him into becoming his apprentice. Goeffery vows to serve him, and later frees him from the Void with the Freedom Fighters being none the wiser. Ixus attempts to take over the Acorn Kingdom, but is driven off by the FF, and so decides to hang back for a while until the time is right. And as far as Naugus is concerned, there's no time like the present.

-After the Great War, the world is lost amidst a sea of confusion and fear, both being traits that Naugus intends to take full advantage of. With Geoffery's knowledge and insight into the kingdom, Naugus preys on the fears of the denizens of the Acorn Kingdom, using his magic to amplify their already present fears and concerns after the war and have them begging for anyone who can make things back the way they were. Sure enough, in comes Naugus on the scene, with Goeffery by his side. Max tries his best to get rid of Naugus, pointing out rightfully that he has no claim to the throne, but Naugus tells the worked up crowd that a king who let things get so far doesn't deserve to be king at all, and someone — anyone — who would put things back on track deserves to take his place. Just to be sporting, he had Max agree to hold a vote for who should rule the kingdom, who buckled under the pressure of the people.

-It's a close call, but ultimately, the people want Ixis. They want someone who claims that with his magic, he can make all of the kingdoms' problems go away overnight, even though he's not really capable of doing that. While Sonic and the FF could always just try to bounce him from the throne, they come to the conclusion that unless it's life or death, they can't go against the will of the masses. If they wanted to trade an actual decent rule for perceived safety, that was their prerogative. They see no choice but to let Naugus remain in power for the time being, not unless they wanted to face an angry mob. He's still evil, but he actually treats the residents of the Acorn Kingdom fairly well for the time being, and is so tied down in having to deal with recent events that he can't do anything all that terrible. But what happens when he's no longer bound? When he feels he can do whatever he wants both figuratively and literally? The answer is that the Acorn Kingdom will be in heck of a lot of trouble, more than it is already, and when the time comics, when the people have at last woken up from their fear and paranoia, the Freedom Fighters will finally be able to take down Naugus once and for all. But for now, there's nothing they can do but to leave him and the Acorn Kingdom be.

That's it for now. Next time, more comic stuff, with maybe a bit of game material if we're lucky.

I know Mephiles is pretty popular, despite his absolutely awful handling. So I guess actually good writing could potentially make him a huge player?

I agree the plot is awful, but a villain like Mephiles has potential I guess. I don't particularly care about him myself, but hey could be cool.

[up]Hm. You might have a point. Mind you, I still don't plan on touching the actual plot of 06 with a nine-foot pole, but I'm also not touching Sonic Underground's either, and that's not stopping me from using that show's characters. If I can think of something interesting to do with him, (and give him a backstory that actually makes sense,) then maybe something good can come of 06 after all. (Which in and of itself would be a goddamned miracle.tongue)

COMPOSITE SONIC TIMELINE PART 4

—In the fallout of the Great War, chaos is still ensnaring the world, and the Federation is no exception. While they're not as badly off as the rest of the world, they've still got their own problems to deal with, including a scared and frightened populace and the more reactionary parts of the Government. Speaking of which, a member of said government, one Colonel Granite, is more reactionary than most. He's also a member of GUN, and he believes that in the wake of such a catastrophe, the Government should take a more radical and authoritarian approach to keep this sort of thing from happening again. To that end, he stages a coup, rallying a good chunk of GUN to his side and begins making plans to take the President hostage. Luckily, Team Dark has joined up with GUN by this point, and with the help of the Commander and the rest of GUN, they manage to take him down and save the President. But regardless, none of this helps morale, even with the Government's attempts to spin it, and the world spreads even further into chaos, prompting a certain albino Echidna to make his move...

-With the world edging ever closer to the brink, Doctor Zachary Finetivus decides this is the perfect time to enact his master plan. Mind you, he's already been planning it for a while now. In the aftermath of the Great War, Knuckles and everyone else was away from Angel Island to help with cleanup. During this time, Finetivus snuck onto Angel Island and began manipulating the Master Emerald, using a rather dark and twisted version of Tikal's chant to do so. ('The Seven Servers are the Chaos Emeralds' and all that.) His work done, he leaves the Island for the time being, with his manipulation of the Master Emerald being so perfect that even Knuckles can't tell anything was done to it.

-After Granite's failed coup, he returns to the floating island, trying to convince Knuckles that he's no longer part of the Nocturnus clan and wishes to change his ways. While it's true that he's left the clan, he hasn't changed his ways in the slightest, and promptly knocks out Knuckles when his back is turned. He hauls him atop the Master Emerald and, using a rather dark version of Tikal's chant from Sonic Adventure, ('The Seven Servers are the Chaos Emeralds' and what-not,) he enfuses Knuckles with the power of the corrupted Emerald, turning him into a mighty being of near unlimited power called Enerjack. The corrupted Emerald energy doesn't just empower Knuckles, but it also warps his mind, convincing him that the only way to keep his island safe is to destroy anything and anyone that could possibly harm it. Which includes the entire planet. This then is Finetivius' plan; to use Knuckles as Enerjack to cleanse the entire world which, as far as he's concerned, doesn't deserve to live, and then to remake it in his image. The Freedom Fighters, Chaotix, and Team Dark manage to stop Knuckles, and once he's free, he practically crucifies Finetvius and purifies the Master Emerald. Not that it matters. For Finetivus, grinning like a maniac, reveals his masterstroke.

-Turns out that Finetivus read up on Mobius, including its' agent Gods and legends. This included a rather powerful entity called Dark Gaia, who in ancient times nearly destroyed the entire planet. He researched ways to wake him up, and he eventually discovered that all it would take was unleashing an incredibly powerful being filled with unlimited but also evil energy. Simply creating him was all that was necessary to arouse the slumbering Dark Gaia's senses and cause him to begin to awaken. And begin to awaken he does...

-Sonic Unleashed happens, only rather than Eggman being responsible for cracking the planet apart, it's Finetivus turning Knuckles into Enerjack, By this point, the Freedom Fighters have their own airship, the Sky Patrol, and they use it to travel around the ruined planet and help however they can. But it just isn't enough. The world was already on the danger of collapse as is, and now with the whole planet split apart, it's descended into complete and total anarchy. There's riots in the streets, Governments are being toppled overnight, and the world in general is one giant metaphroical dumpster fire. The only saving grace is that Eggman is still out of commission, and that the Acorn Kingdom is surprisingly intact thanks to Nagus' magicks, but both of these are small comforts.

-Eventually, the FF and others travel the world with Chip to find the Chaos Emeralds, which were scattered over the world when the planet cracked, doing their best to restore order as they go. Of all the arcs I plan on doing, this one is probably going to take the longest, and it's likely going to be made up of several smaller arcs that compose one giant yarn. Eventually, they manage to collect all of the Emeralds, restore Chip to his true form as Light Gaea, and seal Dark Gaea away, but the world order has been irrevocably changed. Just how it changes is something I'll only really know when I write the thing and the individual arcs that are a part of it, but what I do know is that even with order at least partially restored, there's still trouble coming. And it's a real Scourge all the same...

Mephiles could be the corruption, kind of like sealing Chaos into the Master Emerald.

COMPOSITE SONIC TIMELINE PART 5

-After a long absence, Scourge at least renters the picture, (though he's still shown up in various stories inbetween the main events,) and by this point has become the leader of the Destructix. At this point, he decides to up the ante by attempting to take over the Acorn Kingdom, in part due to it and Knothole basically being Sonic's second homes by this point. However, things aren't so simple, as Lien-da and her cracksquad of Nocturnus Clan troops — redubbed the Legion for the time being — also decide to invade the kingdom, with the intent of using it as a stepping stone for world conquest. Mind you, they already tried to take advantage of the chaos during the Unleashed arc, but Sonic and the FF managed to stop them at every turn, so they've set their sights on the Acorn Kingdom as a last resort. The result is a threeway battle royale between Scourge, Lein-da, and Ixus Naugus, who is much more concerned with destroying the invaders than protecting the citizens. When it becomes clear that Naugus only cares about the throne and doesn't give a whit for the kingdom or its' people, they finally open their eyes and start an armed revolt. By the time the FF show up, the battle's already gotten well underway, but they do their best to help out and keep anyone else from getting hurt. They manage to drive the Legion off and trounce Scourge, and with the people's support, they're at last able to unthrone Ixus Nagus. However, Naugus isn't going down without a fight, not that it matters, as the FF manage to take him down regardless. They throw him back into the Void, (not sure what happens to Geoffery,) and Max becomes the rightful king of the Acorn Kingdom once again, though not without some lessons learned about the balancing act that is ruling a kingdom.

-By this point, not only have the FF found all of the Sol Emeralds, but they've also used the combined talents of their more scientifically inclined members to open a portal back to Blaze's dimension. At first, it seems like all's well that ends well as Blaze bids her friends goodbye, but without warning, Eggman Nega swoops in at the last minute and tries to take the Emeralds for himself. The ensuing struggle results in Blaze, Eggman Nega, and some of the FF all being hurled into Blaze's dimension before the Emeralds get scattered again, but this time, they're not so far apart, so they'll be a lot easier to find. But they still need to get them before Eggman Nega does, who intends to get them first. To that end, he calls in his loyal forcibly obedient servants Captain Whiskers and Johnny, and Sonic Rush Adventure happens. And just to make things a bit more complicated, there's an air pirate called Captain Plunder who manages to find a Sol Emerald by chance, and from then on tries to get the rest for himself. In the end, Eggman Nega is defeated and sent packing to his own dimension and time, and Blaze at last bids her friends farewell, though not before they build a portal on her side so she can visit them at any time.

-By this point, our Eggman has finally gotten back on his feet, and has used his forced vacation to come up with a brand new scheme. He creates a World Robitization Wave that's set to turn all of Mobius into his loyal roboticized slaves, and the only thing stopping him is that he needs to activate the device that would enable it on Mobius itself, never mind the startup time. Sonic and the FF are able to stop him, but not without a Heroic Sacrifice on Sally's part. She manages to deactivate the wave, but not without being hit by a small explosive burst from it, one which she knew was probably going to happen. Princess Sally, the leader of the Freedom Fighters, is robotized, and Eggman is all too happy to hear this. They try to take Sally back with them, but to no avail, and they have no choice but to leave her be for now. As it turns out, Sally was the 'traitor', coming over to Eggman's side but not of her own volition. However, even though he now knows the truth, Silver still stays in the past for a while longer, because he can't just leave Sally to her fate.

-Eggman may have gotten Sally, but he's having problems comping up with a new plan. As if in answer to his prayers, a black and blue hedgehog calling himself Mephiles the Dark shows up on his doorstep. He tells him of the lost Hex, the Zeti, and the Deadly Six, and hands him the Cacophonic Conch, an apparently ancient and mysterious device which can force the Six to do his bidding. Eggman doesn't trust Mephiles for a minute, but he feels this is too good an opportunity to pass up. He takes the conch and heads for the Lost Hex, and it seems like things are finally going in his favor. (Which couldn't be further from the truth.)

—Meanwhile, the Freedom Fighters are reeling at the loss of Sally, but are eventually able to pull themselves together and vow to get her back. However, they know they need a new leader, at least for the time being, and so they put it to a vote. The votes come in, and the winner is someone no-one saw coming; Amy Rose. Even Amy's not sure what to make of this, but as Sonic tells her, she's been through a lot of Character Development by this point and has become a lot more like her Bad Ass Sonic The Comic self, who was often the de facto leader of the FF in that continuity. She's more than ready to take the reigns at this point. But just after Amy is elected, Mephiles arrives in Knothole, and tells them all about Eggman's plans to use the Deadly Six to try and conquer the world. They trust him even less than Eggman did, but they've no choice but to see if he just might be telling the truth.

-Sonic Lost World happens, though after Eggman's beaten, Mephiles shows up and tells them the truth. He is the corruption in the Master Emerald that Finetivus corrupted, and while Knuckles managed to purify the Emerald, the corruption was never truly erased. Instead, it was ousted from the Emerald and spirited away to parts unknown, but it eventually gained sapience, becoming a being of pure darkness known as Mephiles the Dark. It also possessed knowledge of a great many things, including the Hex and the Deadly Six, and it also created the Cacophonic Conch out of a piece of itself. And it was also sure that if it threw the FF at Eggman, they would enable the Deadly Six to not only break free, but also have a means of flatout destroying the Earth. And when asked why he did all of this, he says he did it simply because he could. The Freedom Fighters fend him off, but they honestly can't do much against him right now, and he says that one day, when they're least expecting it, he'll be back. (No clue if he ever will be back though. We'll see.)

-After getting duped by Mephiles and after Eggman's blunder nearly destroyed Mobius, the FF decides enough is enough. They've had it with just sitting around waiting for the next time Eggman or someone else tries to conquer or even destroy the planet. With the support of GUN, Team Dark, Knuckles and co., the Chaotix, and Blaze, they launch a mighty offensive against the Little Planet, with the hope of also getting Sally back. It's a long and brutal struggle, but at long last, they manage to get Sally back and defeat Eggman once and for all. Or do they?

-Sonic CD returns to bite everyone in the ass. As it turns out, the Time Stones weren't destroyed; they were just shunted to the present. At last, Eggman gets his hands on them and uses them rewrite time itself, creating a world where he had always been the Supreme Leader of Mobius. However, there's one little problem. See, after Sonic Unleashed, the Freedom Fighters had held on to the Chaos Emeralds, as they never knew when they might come in handy. And as it turns out, they did. Using the power of the Emeralds, the FF were able to shield themselves along with Knuckles and co., the Chaotix, and Team Dark from the effects of the Time Stones, and remain completely intact. Thanks to that, they one have last chance to Set Right What Once Went Wrong and take Eggman down once for all. (This is loosely based on a Sonic The Comic storyline called Robotnik Reigns Supreme by the way, and it's as awesome as it sounds.)

-And that's it. At long last, Eggman's finally defeated. They sadly can't derobotize Sally, but they are able to restore her free will, and that's what's important. Reality is restored to normal, the Little Planet is able to finally disappear back from whence it came, and peace is at last restored. However, Sonic never really lost his wanderlust, so with the world finally at peace, he at long last decides to resume his journeys over the planet once more, but not without telling everyone with complete sincerity that he will be back.

Whew! Finally got that done. That's the Composite Sonic Timeline in its' entirety. Again, other stories can and probably will happen in between what I've listed, but this is just the main series of events for me and anyone else to follow. But if anyone's got any other ideas for stories, feel free to chip in. With over 20 FF'ers, a bunch of other characters besides, and a long-ass timeline that will likely end up spanning several years, there's plenty to pull from. Anyhoo, time to finally finish up that Pilot, and after that, start the series proper. (And if I'm really lucky, get some real help...)

[up]Not necessarily. I threw most of the mainline games in and some of the spin-off games not, sure, but I'm not going to just toss something in if I think it doesn't fit. Hell, that's why Colors isn't on the timeline, because I'm not having Eggman somehow beyond all leaps of logic fly into space and set up an interstellar amusement park/alien kidnapping ring. Or if it just really, really sucks like 06. So if Mania doesn't turn out to have much of a real plot that can add to anything, or if Forces just doesn't really fit for whatever reason, then I can just skip em. (Though if I manage to get another writer or two and they want to take a crack at them, they can feel free.tongue)

So I've asked this before, but I don't think I ever really got a response. If I want to try and enlist some other writers, how should I go about doing that? One idea I've got for when I've finished up the Pilot is to post it on Fanfiction.net and Archive Of Our Own and then ask anyone interested to submit their own short fanfiction piece; either something new or something they've already written. Just something to show they can actually write, which with any luck will help counteract Sturgeon's Law. But I'm wondering if anyone's got any other ideas.

Whoot! Finally got done with the Pilot! Well, the first draft anyway. The important thing though is that I actually have something. Now I just to have to clean it up and finetune it, and I can finally have something to show people that this can actually work. As for the story itself, it's nothing special; just a short fun little standalone story that, while nothing amazing, is still enjoyable. But most importantly, it shows that the concept of a Composite Sonic Universe is something actually possible, and that's the important thing.

Also, I think I've got another Freedom Fighter; Ebony the Cat from Sonic The Comic. Ebony's a sultry sorceress, and while she's not too major a character, she still makes some appearances every now and then, and has enough character that I can take it and expand it something pretty darn nifty. She's going to be kind of like Blaze; withdrawn, closed off, and something of an interovert, though whereas Blaze's introversion comes from having closed off her natural firey and tempermental persona with a lifetime of training and self-control, Ebony's just a natural introvert. Where Blaze's arc is going to be more about accepting her natural personality and not being afraid to let loose every once in a while, Ebony's is going to be about just opening up a bit more and not being so closed off without straying too far from where she originally started. And of course, she's also got those fancy magic powers, which will come in handy whenever the FF has to deal with something that science or their normal abilities just can't deal with.

[up]Let me first say that I have played Rush. Just so it's clear that I've actually played the thing. Anyhoo, let me try and explain myself here. Blaze's initial arc is going to be like it was in Rush; learning to trust others, open up, and discover The Power of Friendship. However, at least from what I've seen, Blaze also has a naturally fiery and intense personality that's been buried under a much colder and more restrained one, and what I'd like to do is explore and develop that other side of her more. And since she's going to stick around Mobius for a while, it's not as if I don't have the time to do that. Though that would be after the initial arc of course.

Yeah, that's true. Blaze's personality is largely an inverse of Sonic's. Whereas he's open about his feels, she's closed off and restrained. Whereas he seems hotblooded out of battle but always keeps a cool head in it, Blaze keeps calm out of battle but can quickly lose her cool in it. Whereas he's quick to trust everyone, Blaze only really trusts a very small number of people.

If you're getting rid of Blaze's trust issues, I don't think her character will work out nearly as well. Especially since, given the way you originally divided the characters, Sonic and Blaze probably won't be interacting all that much.

Let the joy of love give you an answer! Check out my book!

[up]I didn't say I was getting rid of her trust issues, or at the least not right away. One of the things I want to do here is actual honest-to-God Character Development, which Blaze actually had some of in Rush, so it's not as if she's a stranger to it. It's true that having trust issues does lend her a certain dynamic, but I do want her to grow and change over time, and that means becoming more trusting of others as time goes on. I don't want her to remain stuck in one place, which is something even Rush didn't do.

Also, you might have missed this, but rather than dividing the characters, I'm just going to pick and choose whoever I want for a given story, which makes things a lot more flexible. It's kind of thanks to you actually. So if I want Sonic and Blaze to interact, I can darn well do so.

[up] I know. I was just going off of the assumption that because they were in two different groups at one point in time, you didn't have much in the way of plans regarding to two interacting. As you can probably tell if you read the fic I wrote (which I'm not convinced anyone did), I love seeing the two interact.

[up]I don't have plans in the way of anyone intereacting. That doesn't mean they won't interact, because they will. When I'm writing character interactions, I don't plan them in advance. I just let it happen. So that means that even though I'm not sure what Sonic and Blaze's interactions will be, they're still going to interact plenty. I'm just leaving the actual interactions for when the time comes.

So, what's the deal with the Lost Hex in this universe? One of the biggest problems with Lost World (at least in my opinion) is that it has an interesting setting in the Lost Hex, but explains nothing about the Lost Hex is, how it came to be, or what's up with the Zeti. Which is a real shame.

You can tell from the map screen that the Lost Hex is some sort of artificial planet, due to it being constructed of hexagonal peices of land. I had an idea that maybe the Lost Hex was some sort of echidean project that was never fully completed before the Nocturnis clan got trapped in the Twilight Cage. Maybe they wanted their own version of the floating island, but better. Maybe the Zeti could be scientific experiments of the Nocturnis Clan (it would explain what they are and why they're so evil) who took up ruling the Lost Hex once the Nocturnis Clan was out of the way. Heck, maybe the technologically driven Nocturnis Clan was forced from the Lost Hex once their creations developed their technopathic powers and the Clan had no way of fighting back.

Point is, there's a lot you could do with the Lost Hex which the games never did.

[up]You've got a point, and a lot of great ideas. I'll see what I can do and go from there. Thanks.smile

Done! Now to just upload it on FF.net and go from there. Though it might not be for a bit yet. It took me two hours just to read through and clean up the thing, even though it's only 26 pages according to my estimates. Point being, I want to take a short break first before doing anything else with it. But the important thing is that it's done.

Also, I'm thinking of adding another Freedom Fighter, but this one might be... iffy, to say the least, so I'm not 100% sure on him yet. If anyone remembers, Sonic 1 had a number of 'animal friends' that he freed from that various badniks. Some of these were given names, and even became actual characters proper in the comics and whatnot. Sally Acorn became a major character in Sat Am and Archie, while Porker Lewis and Johnny Litefoot were main characters over in Sonic The Comic, and while Joe Sushi the Walrus didn't go anywhere, we did get an actual Walrus character in Rotor. Nevermind that all of these animal friends were set to be Freedom Fighters in Sat AM's early drafts and concept art. The point is, I've been toying with making at least one of these animal friends that nothing was ever really done with into a proper character in his own right, namely Chirps the Rooster.

I actually first got the idea for doing something with him after seeing a badass redesign of him a while back. For the life of me, I couldn't tell you where I found it, but it's out there. The idea I'd have for him is making him a Bad Ass Hitman with a Heart. He may be in it for the money, but he still has his principles and morals that he won't cross, as well as a surprising sense of humor. He starts out working for Eggman as one of Sleet's mercenaries, but when he sees Tekno being scheduled for robotization just because Eggman thinks she might betray him, (she was forced into working for him from the start by way,) he finds he can't go against his principles, and sets Tekno free. Eggman finds out, thus making Chirps a wanted man, (or rooster in this case,) and he eventually winds up with the Freedom Fighters, who give him a chance after learning he saved Tekno. And after being promised a charitable fee pulled straight from the Princess' own coiffers, he more than pulls his weight.

What I wanted with Chirps was a rarity among Sonic characters; an older more mature character that, along with Ebony, would help vary up the cast of teenagers and occasional young adults a bit, while also giving a different sort of personality that could work off some of the other characters in interesting ways. The problem though is that he borders somewhere between an official character and an OC, because while he has the name of an official character, his personality and backstory are completely made up. But then again, you could say the same for Sally, Porker, and Johhny when they were first made. I'd like to add this guy in, but I figured I'd better lay him out there first before I made any real decisions either way.

Pilot's finally uploaded, both on FF.net and Archive of Our own. The request already's been made for anyone interested to contact me and show me anything they've written for consideration. Here's hoping this goes well.

It's a pretty good story you've made, kkhohoho!

I don't know who Grimer or Thunderbolt are, and I had to look up Shortfuse, but it's all been pretty interesting! I will say, there's quite a few moments where words appear to be missing, with most of Cream's dialogue and literally the first line of the story.

I do writing, feel free to check out my stories here! https://numbugwritingblog.tumblr.com/post/686233243868102656/numbugs-shared-heroic-uni

[up]Thanks.smile And don't worry, a lot of this is going to be unfamilar to a lot of people. In the actual series proper, you'll get a chance to see these characters start out and get to know them better, but this is just a short story set after everyone's already been introduced. Well, sort of. It is still standalone after all.

Oh, and thanks for the heads up about the missing dialogue. I could have sworn I fixed up everything. Guess it's time for another fixer upper...
