I think that was discussed in the past at some point. Someone said that it would lead to questions being asked and duplicated inside media threads, becoming extremely impractical to follow.
"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard FeynmanYeah, but point remains that the Headscratchers page is using wiki framework as a discussion venue, and if we're not Wikimedia (where that's normal and celebrated; TV Tropes has separate venues for discussionnote ), it's flawed design.
An Ear Worm is like a Rickroll: It is never going to give you up.I glanced around at various threads made on this subject and basically the idea is to provide non-forum users an alternate way to discuss the media in question as well as actually get an answer to something they were wondering. Forums can be intimidating.
My original thought was to provide a new sub-forum specifically on headscratchers for a particular media but I like the discussion page idea, preserving the format as closely as possible while not being a wiki editing page.
^^I think you mean MediaWiki not Wikimedia.
"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard FeynmanI think we can utilize the existing Discussion format for Headscratchers as well as for WMG. I don't understand why forums intimidate people, but I accept that the phenomenon exists, and the one time we tried redirecting Discussion pages to dedicated forum threads was a disaster.

"It's Occam's Shuriken! If the answer is elusive, never rule out ninjas!"Eddie, do you still have the code from the Troper Tales experiment? Maybe you can re-implement it as a new Headscratchers page.

Hyperforce Go! http://vmkid.me/Using the old TT format (the one that was around for like a week before the whole thing got removed) might work, though honestly I barely even remember it, so I can't be sure.
Either way though, this would need a crowner and general announcement, the whole deal. This is a pretty major change, and since the entire point is to make it more accessible, people definitely deserve a vote.
I was thinking more of discussion Page formatting for Headscratchers, but if the TT Format is better use that.
WMG is to my Knowledge Not so much a discussion, rather a Post of a theory. That would suit TT Format better if I remember it right.
"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard FeynmanAgreeing with Discar both on it needing a crowner, and on the TT/discussion page format (was there a difference? I seem to remember the switch happening at the same time) being useful here; indeed, I had assumed at the start of the thread that a discussion-page like thing would be being used rather than an ATT query-like thing. I support the change either way, though.
One thing people may or may not have noticed is that discussion page replies can be expanded or hidden with the blue arrow in the top left corner of the OP, so if it's not too much trouble perhaps headscratcher pages could start with them all collapsed rather than open.

That was the amazing part. Things just keep going.Part of 2.0 most likely, locking.

Honestly, I think Headscratchers would serve more good as a link to media forum threads than anything.
