Clearly it's the SJ Ws fault for spreading the SJW term /s

"SJW" isn't even an insult. "Social Justice Warrior" sounds positive to me.

On a different note, Armoured Skeptic is way more obnoxious then I thought he was. I used to put him on my "I don't agree with everything he says so I'll only click on the videos that interest me" list, but he's pretty bigoted now that I research him more. Oh well, Logicked was always better.

All these "skeptics" are obnoxious and fall in the line. Trying to present themselves as rational and centrist, turns out they aren't so much.

I once mentioned there's this "The Thinkery" channel that thinks it's so clever when it isn't. It has a "thinking Sargon" for pfp.

I never liked Armoured Skeptic because everytime I see some dumbfuck with a fucking crusader as their profile image, or spouting DEUS VULT! and other stupid unfunny crusader memes I can guarantee you they will always be bigoted little shits.

Tired of wannabe crusader bois as I like to call them.

Let's not forget the crusaders were giant cowards who at the end got killed by their own bosses anyway.

Apparently The Atheist Experience has gone downhill recently. Both Tracey and Jen have resigned. Matt has some pretty bad opinions about trans people.

[up](x5) I was drawn into the skeptic community from The Atheist Experience a few years ago. It was interesting seeing people critique and debate religion. The "skeptic" community drew me because a lot of people liked debating harmful psuedoscience and silly conspiracies, such as anti-vaxers and the flat Earth. But... I have noticed a large amount of anti-SJW type people about. There are more socially aware people like Essence of Thought and Cult of Dusty, but my Youtube recommends gets bombarded with hateful stuff frequently.

I don't understand the correlation. You'd think that more skeptic-savvy atheists would be into humanism and social justice causes, but I've seen the opposite. Maybe it's people taking the "science over feels" element too seriously.

I'll take logic any day, but some things apparently can't be proven. Being non-binary for example. I know it's a real thing but there's little-to-no science behind it yet. I've heard many people say it can't ever be scientifically proven. This is probably why many skeptics are fine with binary trans people but not non-binary ones. Binary people have research about their brains and about neonatal stuff, but non-binary people don't.

[up] Youtube's recs always seem to give me stuff I don't like. The system doesn't seem to realize that people watching bird or dog videos might not be interested in cat videos.

Lately I've been getting a lot of "Did Disney ripoff Kimba?" videos and "The Lion King (2019) sucks" videos, just because I watched a few Lion King fan-vids.

Also how often can a big name influental youtube content creator have, uhhh, how to phrase it...

Well, a drink, a food endorsed/based on them? You see, we have this brand of energy drinks, Booster Energy (one which I'm drinking currently. Mango flavored) and I saw one limited edition that has 8-bit inspired imagery on it with "endorsed by Baka Prase" (he's big in Serbia and is very obnoxious, like flaunting his big mansion in some country in one of his videos. Promptly blocked his channel on my phone).

wot

Imagine if you find some chocolate bar endorsed by Pew Die Pie. Shit god no thanks

I really dislike these rich youtubers who try to act cool, put obnoxious music and flaunt their expensive belongings.

[up] Youtubers endorse real life stuff? Interesting. I've never seen a Youtube celeb become mainstream off-line. Even Pewdiepie is only discussed in a negative light.

Well, uhhh, I remember it's not endorsed but more like sponsored. That was the word I was looking for.

Apparently Baka Prase can have stuff sponsored by him. Limited edition or not, I was surprised. I can't find it on google but I see it in stores aplenty.

Many people see 2 sides to Kyoani. The traditional Seinen/Shonen that pretty much defined the anime they grew up with and 'Fujoshi bait' Josei shows.

Each side is basically done by different studios inside Kyoani. The one that primarily dealt with the former was the one that was attacked while the latter wasn't touched and based in Osaka. Studio 1 did not keep off-site backups so everything they were working on and the masters of all their old shows are just gone.

Huh… I didn't know that. It's kinda reassuring that at least some part of their work didn't go up in smoke. As meager a consolation as that is.

Sponsors for youtubers that i usually see are the usual suspects.

Dollar Shave Club, Nord VPN, Skillshare, etc

[up](x3) I wonder how many Youtubers actually use those products. I wouldn't do Youtube for money in the first place, but I could especially never do endorse stuff. Endorsement feels so fake and weird.

Youtubers endorse real life stuff?

ASMR has done stuff like that. Some of the ASMR people even starred in a Reeses Pieces commercial.

Another one did a video about some electric car, Tesla.

One sponsor that I've been seeing more recently is the Amino app.

We have more in Serbia, so I can't wait to see what do they endorse, sponsor, whatever.

Like with Hell Energy Drink every summer having new flavor variants, I think this is a summer thing only.

[up]Thanks!

And to make things weird, have this y'all:
