Or There's something else out there responsible for bringing the Fomori crashing down from a mighty magitek empire to their present day state of being savage nomads. And letting Loot out would entail "awakening" that force.

Consider that Kaervek said that opening the vault would involve a force akin to Phyrexia. And considering all that we know of Kaervek, if he doesn't wanna get mixed up with that, it says a lot.

Loot might not be the problem, so much as what comes lookin' around for Loot.

Hence my suggestion that the Tuatha might make an appearance.

Those familiar with Celtic folklore will know that the Tuatha could be fairly nasty themselves.

The Eldrazi might also have a role to play here - either Emrakul, or successors.

Or, alternatively, a terrible danger that the Eldrazi would have helped to contain will run unchecked, and Ugin will rub Jace's face in it.

And considering Jace's terminology - burning away the crimes of Phyrexia - I'm also considering he might be after something Fomori related, namely, something to reference Balor.

And considering Jace's luck, Balor's Eye probably Sauron style contains his consciousness.

A Legendary Crew for an Unbelievable Heist

This article contains profiles for the Outlaws of Thunder Junction Caper Crew as well as the Commander precons' main commanders.

The Living Guildpact rules that coffee is an acceptable substitution for rest as specified in subsection … whatever.

Looking back, it's interesting seeing how the Fomori have been scattered throughout Magic's history. You had the Fomori Nomad, Ruhan of the Fomori, and the official Giant Token card associated with Pact of the Titan strongly resembles the Fomori Nomad (and is also a vanilla 4/4 Giant).

And that was it until this latest block's lore with the Coin Empire and the Fomori Vault and Loot.

If the Fomori do end up being the new Big Bad antagonist faction, I wonder how they will be distinguished from previous baddies like Nichol Bolas and New Phyrexia.

Even just being a "state" full of people who are more or less like you or me could make them hugely different.

Another interesting bit is that this wouldn't even be the first time MTG took a random card and made a whole story out of it. Nicol Bolas started out as just another one of the Elder Dragon cards from Legends. Phyrexia was represented by a couple random cards in Antiquities like Priest of Yawgmoth and Gate to Phyrexia.

This is the first time I've actually kept my eye on a secret lair.

Can someone message me if good stuff in Red, either in Bloomburrow or MH 3, involve +1/+1 Counters?

I'd like to involve more red in my Shalai and Hallar list.
