I just watched "Major Blast". Did they use archive recordings of Stan Lee's lines?

I'm fairly certain that the last actual recorded lines that Stan Lee did were in "Supersonic Sue".

I'm honestly wondering what they'll do with Boss Awesome next season, since Stan Lee is gone.

They'll probably just recast him or quietly write him out. Both possibilities of which would be sad anyway.

Sad in an ironic way, too, since I feel like they might have been planning to do something with Boss Awesome. Some unknown, shadowed archenemy of his is the reason this entire arc is happening, we've already gotten two of his enemies already, and we're starting to get more about the Frederickson family...

[up][up]We probably won't see him again. You don't just recast Stan Lee.

[up]Yeah, this whole arc seems to be slowly leaning toward Fred and not Hiro. Wonder if that was indeed intentional.

[up] Maybe it'll be about both of them , particularly if both their actions drive the season finale.

[up]Yeah, that's certainly possible. They have had the most attention on them this season so far.

[up][up][up]Perhaps they'll work in some kind of graceful farewell to Boss Awesome (and thus Stan Lee) before writing him out of the show.

Have the police interviewed Rodney yet due to building headquarters for superheroes (and apparently supervillains)?

[up] I can't remember if there is a thing that prevents contractors from talking about their clients to the police in real life. So let's just assume that in Roddy's contract to build lairs he has some clause that keeps him safe in case of police investigation.

I just assumed that Roddy is an architect all the time and just keeps the fact he builds secret lairs on the down-low.

So we have a short promo for the one-hour finale, even though they're not calling it a finale for some reason.

A few things:

One, they're clearly setting up Obake to be behind the Buddy Guardians. Whether it actually is him remains to be seen.

Two, why on Earth is Megan dressed like a ninja?

...I don't have a three.

[up] I doubt it's Obake when Trina and NBB are still up and running.

I think this is the third time Dark Volt is mentioned. Either this will be a running joke or we'll get to meet him in season three.

Plus the shape of those things remind me of Trina's new body, maybe there is a clue there.

[up][up][up]Well, yes. They want us to think it's Obake. But some of the finer details in the silhouette don't match up.

There's also the loose end with Ian/Hardlight, considering he's working on that project.

So, "Legacies" was a satisfying season 2 finale.

I would agree on that part. As hit or miss the entirety of the second arc was, I feel this wrapped things up pretty nicely. My biggest complaint was Chief Cruz finding out their identities and he's immediately over it in two seconds. That point sort of fizzled out.

But Globby being a big part of the battle, Trina being the Big Bad of this episode, and a very emotional tribute to Tadashi at the end more than made up for that point of contention.

...Oh, and I got my two second Karmi cameo. I wasn't expecting a full blown appearance, but I can be content with that.

Yeah, I'm glad we got a Karmi cameo at all, since at this point it's obvious that her bus won't return until Liv and Di do; since late Season 1 she's been so tied to that plotline and I doubt we've seen the last of either Amaras. Fingers crossed for Season 3...

Okay as awesome as this episode got, it does have problems. As mentioned is Chief Cruz's reactions to Big Hero 6's identity. It could be just me, the robot crisis, or a problem inherent of superhero stories but I believe that they should have had more a scene of Chief Cruz learning that those kids and Hiro were who he was chasing all that time. To quickly brush it off does a major disservice to him as a character considering the dynamic the Chief and Hiro created, if there is a season 3 and Chief Cruz is still around he needs to talk to Hiro otherwise he might as well be Grnaville 2 ignoring boogaloo. Another important thing is that We should have seen Trina and Noodle Burger Boy more this season if they were going something this big this season. I don't know who is supposed to be the antagonist this episode Chief Cruz or Trina?

[up]Just as an aside, the show was already confirmed for a Season 3 a while ago. That is something to pay attention to when it come around.

I see it this way. Chief Cruz was the antagonist. Trina was the villain. Cruz never made a hard case to be the real villain of this season.

And yes, Trina probably should have been foreshadowed a bit more, but I chalk that up to the awkward pacing that this second arc has had. Suddenly closing off Megan's investigation into the identities of BH 6, Cruz's backstory being thrown in, and Cruz's eventual finding out of their identities all were just a jumbled mess. Yes, this episode did a lot to redeem the flaws of the arc, but it didn't get rid of them completely.

Yeah, this was a better finale than "City of Monsters" to me, but neither really reached the heights of "Countdown to Catastrophe". I've seen some shows successfully balance two story arcs within a season, but I don't think this show can join them.

Is there a season 3? How will the show handle Gogo, Wasabi, and Honey Lemon graduating? Was Hiro just accepting Tadashi's degree or did he graduate too? I wouldn't think so since he's been in SFIT for a year during the two seasons.
