Uh huh, thanks for letting me know how to get to her. Because I swear, I will not rest until I've driven her past the Despair Event Horizon
... Damn it!!!!

Well, that was rather venomous when compared with the past few posts.
Juuust jerkin' your chain. :P
Edit: Total life point loss was 3000, I think. Sorry for just plonking it all down in one big post, but since you have no face-downs or hand-cards and I know you don't have a graveyard effect that could stop me, I decided to not make you blandly reply between every move.

Storm and trouble won't make you make you lose your way. (Tits might, though.)Oh no, that move was actually kind of awesome.
The dammnit came because I realised that to break Gretel, Marcus would have to hound her constantly. Something that's completely out of character for her.
Well, I'm pretty sure that you can bring in some others who have the same opinion of her as he does. Which of course limits your recruitment pool to just, you know, the ENTIRE STUDENT BODY, but those are the crosses we must bear, eh?
Storm and trouble won't make you make you lose your way. (Tits might, though.)Marcus wouldn't think like that. he's used to doing things by himself and frankly his opinion of her will be either
A) He beats her = She is just decoration and therefore should be ignored.
B) She beats him = Worthy Opponent.
By the way, Marcus's idiotic behaviour at the start of the duel was a shout out to this
Well, I really can't speak for anyone bar myself, but that wasn't very funny. Just arbitrary in an attempt to be funny.
(By-the-by, how's your reply going?)
Storm and trouble won't make you make you lose your way. (Tits might, though.)Iniqui, Evi sent you and Lunac your draws in the duel's beginning, right?
The voice of thy brother's blood crieth unto me from the groundYeah. Do you need them?
Storm and trouble won't make you make you lose your way. (Tits might, though.)It seemed that he totally messed Lunac's draws. What to do, what to do...
-Walks around in circles-
Messed? Like, didn't mark them down right?
Storm and trouble won't make you make you lose your way. (Tits might, though.)That's understating it.
The voice of thy brother's blood crieth unto me from the groundDid he mark down the numbers wrong, or use the wrong list or something? (Can you tell I don't wanna play a guessing game here?)
Storm and trouble won't make you make you lose your way. (Tits might, though.)Apparently, he used Marcus's new deck, which he wasn't supposed to get till after the tournament...
The voice of thy brother's blood crieth unto me from the groundAh. Well, just say that Marcus did some tweaking during the quarterfinals, and Bob's your uncle. Unless of course one of the cards he added was a new spirit partner or something, in which case... retcon?
Storm and trouble won't make you make you lose your way. (Tits might, though.)I'm tempted to just toss a coin for the duel's result, do the same for Daniel and Sigmund's, and Time Skip to the next round of the tournament...
-Frustrated-
Oh, it's not that bad. I'm sure we can just keep using these lists and (since I haven't updated my deck) Luna can just sneakily edit in a justification to one of his pre-duel, during-tournament posts.
Storm and trouble won't make you make you lose your way. (Tits might, though.)Yes, but now I'm completely confused. Evi needs to give me the numbering he used for Marcus's new deck,
The voice of thy brother's blood crieth unto me from the groundSo in conclusion, I'm an idiot.
In conclusion: You should have asked me. And Evi was supposed to wait if he wasn't sure (and if he was...).
The voice of thy brother's blood crieth unto me from the groundIn an attempt to sway the coin a bit, I'd just like to say I am currently winning.
"Why does everything have to loop back to YGO?" -Guy who ruined YGOIn my case, if Marcus gets a card to combo with Warrior's Counters or wipe the field, I may be in trouble. But, what're the odds of him playing cards that are designed to take advantage of his deck's main schtick?
Storm and trouble won't make you make you lose your way. (Tits might, though.)Well too defend my case, my logic was
Point A: Cannot change deck until after tournament
Point B: Official rules state decklists cannot change during tournaments.
Therefore
Point A + Point B = Point C: You cannot change your deck because that's illegal in a tournament = Point D: That means you can change your deck if you're NOT in the tournament.
I will wait for Evi to explain himself before continuing. And anyway I won't do anything before this computer's done formatting the rest of its harddrive (it was unallocated, long story, and now I'm allocating it so I'll be able to access it via a VM).
The voice of thy brother's blood crieth unto me from the ground
No, but that's her coping mechanism should she lose here; and I told you what would happen with her in a vacuum. If she loses, she won't bring it up herself; and if people do bring it up, she'll downplay it as 'just a game where luck wasn't on my side', and turn it around to make it about Marcus being a disruptive bastard who put his personal feelings above the rules.
She'll comment that losing to a Black Luster Soldier is really something that happens to a lot of people and as such shouldn't be construed as representative of her skills; comment that she was reacting to a theft and someone who — by rights — shouldn't have been nearby challenged her to an arbitrary Duel over her behaviour. Which, looking back on it, was out of line, but she was about to enter the final stages of an Academy-wide tournament, so can you really blame her for being on-edge?
She'll claim that the Duel was unconnected to virtually everything that went on, and that condemning her for getting screwed over by bad luck in something completely unrelated to the then-current tournament is really rather petty, and when in future she faces the Envoy and wins, she can cheerfully reference her loss to a no-shower all those years ago and cite it as proof of having grown up and matured.
She'll simply go on her way, patiently stating that things almost never pivot around a single Duel, and pointing out that a game played a few years ago with a completely different deck/opponent/situation is of no relevance to her current skill level.
She'll continue to play in the tournament, do her best, and ignore the comments thrown around by those who heard of the event, again mentioning the fact that this is a completely different opponent and set of draws. Or maybe she'll just stay aloof and above replying to immature people who try to bring down her confidence, always putting on a brave face against virtually the entire student body disliking her and ignoring her actual talent at Dueling. Poor Gretel. Poor, brave Gretel. Brave, capable, mature Gretel.
See how easy that was?
