Oh cool! Sorry if I misunderstood, I just read "long, beautiful match with little build up where every chapter is awesome". Heck, that match has my favorite chapter ever read in any manga (chapter 269)
To me, after reading it last summer, Slam Dunk quickly supplanted One Punch Man as my second favorite manga (couldn't beat One Piece, tough )

There isn't an impossible dream, there are only people who give upSlam Dunk is probably still my favorite manga, so I understand that. The whole Shohoku/Sannoh match is wonderful from every point of view.
Haikyuu's last match is good, but rather than a climax it's more of a very long "Where Are They Now?" Epilogue.
When Haikyuu ends (next week or so), it will be the first time since 1968 that there wasn't a sport manga running in Jump. Helpful image to see how the chain has been going

Cowboys vs SamuraiI should get around to reading Slam Dunk. I'm not really big on sports but it's the one big Takehiko Inoue manga I haven't touched yet.
I think before the database crashed there was someone talking about Saga and Christ shiptease in Agravity Boys and yeah I see it. Id totally like it if it happens.
Every accusation by the GOP is ALWAYS a confession.I think that was me.
And yeah, it's gotten very blatant. You can tell that the author has gotten better at this yaoi tease thing, because before they generally just teased people being into Chris, but now there's specific tease for why several of the different guy pairs would do well together (Geralt/Baba or Arash, Grislow/Luo, and especially Saga/Chris have gotten highlighted lately.)
The site crash deleted comments? Dang, that stings. I practically wrote a dissertation on why what Agravity Boys has been doing with Saiga and Chris is the correct path, but the author has likely realized this too late for it to change things when there's already so much gag manga competition at the moment.

-sigh- Lost passwords...There is a lot of new gag manga. Prolly cause Jump believes they filled in most of the action niches and figured its a good idea to now find series that perfectly aligns with the comedy niches.
Makes me assume we'll soon get a surge of new sports manga to replace Haikyu.
"I am Alpharius. This is a lie."@Draghinazzo: Definitely go check it out. Slam Dunk is still my favorite Shonen of all time.
Come to think of it, this entire office politics context helps to explain the way it ended, right after such a badass climax match. Maybe.
... And that's called jazz! The sports niche being left empty seems sort of convenient to the speculation I've heard of a possible Slam Dunk anime remake. Remakes of old series (and their manga reprints) are popular right now.
-sigh- Lost passwords...I actually think it was naturally supposed to ended like this, in a realistic way. Plus Shohoku vs Sannoh was the definitive match, and I doubt another one could have topped it.
There isn't an impossible dream, there are only people who give upSpeaking of sports manga, I am actually watching Haikyu. Just finished the second season & damn what a finisher.
Moving on to the 3rd season & wow its 10 episodes comprising of a single match, Goddamn I didn't know you can do that.
Also I've been watching the English dub on Netflix but it doesn't have the 3rd season. Where's the 3rd season dub streaming?
"I am Alpharius. This is a lie."Slam Dunk actually got a new edition in 2018 and it got in the top 5 of best-selling manga series of that year with that alone. That's how big it is.
x3: You're most probably right; it's just that it felt like such a Mood Whiplash and a kick in the nuts that, at the time, I thought there had been some Executive Meddling involved. And no, still haven't gotten over it and am willing to cling to any excuse to deny that this was the intended way.
... And that's called jazz!Crunchyroll, HIDIVE, and VRV. Pro tip, because.moe is invaluable for finding where anime's streaming.
I'm pretty sad Mashle doesn't have discussion thread yet, its best thing in the magazine right now ;p
(well okay Spy x Family is great too)

Spy x Family is in a different Jump magazine
You know, with Demon Slayer and Promised Neverland over, and One Piece and My Hero Academia on break this week, Haikyuu is literally the only heavy hitter left in this issue.

I'm honestly confused about what is in which magazine
Technically, Spy X Family is not even on a magazine. It's a digital release exclusive.
The app is viewed by the company as Shonen Jump+ for any app only titles.

Every accusation by the GOP is ALWAYS a confession. If Haikyuu ends this week then it would be quite the exit what with there being no other heavyhitters in the magazine.
-sigh- Lost passwords...No, it's apparently ending next week.
Magu chan was great this week too.

Hmm, it's actually completely different: Shohoku vs Sannoh is part of the main team's goal of conquering the Nationals, and also has extremely strong undertones of "underdogs vs champions".
Haikyuu's last match happens several years after the rest of the story, and it's not about the main team, but about a bunch of strong players from various teams who chose to make volleyball their career. The main tie between this match and the rest of the series is that the two main characters, whose combination plays were the backbone of the main team during the series, are finally opponents.
