I'm still wondering what the hell John Ridley was even going for with that.
Like an actual racist school bully posted those panels on a school locker of a black student from what I heard.
Really fucked up. This is why writers have to do better.

I'll teach you a lesson about just how cruel the world can be. That's my job, as an adult. All that can be explained there is that John Ridley is a terrible writer
"I am Alpharius. This is a lie."He’s apparently a good prose writer. I’ve heard mixed things about his comic writing. And he’s a terrible black panther writer.
Forever liveblogging the AvengersChasing that movie clout def didn't pay off for Marvel here.
I'll teach you a lesson about just how cruel the world can be. That's my job, as an adult. He's one of those prose writers who who wrote big stuff in the non-comics sphere, specifically he's the writer for 12 Years a Slave
They've only being hiring those kinds of big literary black writers for Black Panther, cause of the clout it brings
Which in some fairness to Ridley he does have some prior comic history, and before BP he gained acclaim for writing The Other History of the DC Universe
Problem is since writing Other History, absolutely nothing since has matched it in reception.

"I am Alpharius. This is a lie."At an retailers event, Marvel confirmed that a new "Ultimate Universe" book is coming in November by Jonathan Hickman and Stefano Caselli after the events of Ultimate Invasion.
Ultimate Peter: I'm in danger.
I'll teach you a lesson about just how cruel the world can be. That's my job, as an adult.Hickman did say it would be a new line of books taking up Ultimate's original premise but that it wouldn't require familiarity with the original line.
EDIT: I should also clarify that the November book is one shot and other books will be spinning out of it, not that it would be the backbone book by itself.

So its a soft-reboot essentially
Makes sense, they've been out of it for so long its basically starting all over again
"I am Alpharius. This is a lie."Oh god, I'm still worried for Ultimate Peter.
I'll teach you a lesson about just how cruel the world can be. That's my job, as an adult.I mean, the real question is how Miles will be changed if at all. I don't think they'll reboot him but considering he's the only Ultimate character who's still headlining a book.
Ultimate Invasion's preview does show Maker kidnapping Miles and involving him in this so I wonder how thats gonna be resolved
"I am Alpharius. This is a lie."Lousy Richards.
I'll teach you a lesson about just how cruel the world can be. That's my job, as an adult.Found Dr. Doom's account
Wouldn’t it be all capitalized if it was?
‘My ignorance is just as good as your knowledge.’FOOLS! DR. DOOM DOES NOT WASTE TIME ON A PETTY WEBSITE DEVOTED TO TRITE WRITING CLICHES THAT YOU REFER COLLOQUIALLY AS TROPES!
I AM MERELY A CONCERNED CITIZEN IN THE USA THAT IS RIGHTFULLY CALLING OUT RICHARDS AND HIS USUAL INCOMPETENCE! CARRY ON!
....I mean what?
Oh yeah, speaking of Doom, I've been enjoying his role in Venom Lethal Protector II.

I'll teach you a lesson about just how cruel the world can be. That's my job, as an adult.A throwaway panel from today's Lighter and Softer Li'l Rocket webcomic, with no relevance to the wider story. It still made me laugh.
(This panel's his only appearance in the comic)
A bit of wild speculation -
Given that Marvel's owners Disney are now going to be broadcasting Doctor Who on Disney+, and that the upcoming Doctor Who TV specials include some sort of adaptation of "The Star Beast", a Marvel story by Pat Mills and Dave Gibbons from their licensed comic (not the first time it's been adapted)...
What are the odds that Marvel will get the rights back to reprint all the old Doctor Who stories, as they have with the Hasbro stuff?
(I'd certainly like to see Alan Moore's "4D War" / "Special Executive" trilogy back in print, as well as the Death's Head crossover stuff)
Well, we're living in a timeline where Marvel is reprinting the old ROM and Micronauts comics either later this year or next year, so...I don't see why not.
By the way, anyone know we're getting Predator vs. Wolverine soon? Yeah, that Predator vs. that Wolverine. Um. Okay.
I'm assuming that will still be somewhere on the far edges of continuity, as with many other franchise crossovers.
While the Predators may be cool, the Marvel Universe has a bunch of scarily powerful heroes and interstellar empires who could just squelch them.
(Even if it goes no further than the Wolverine interaction, the likes of SHIELD, SWORD and the FF should probably be paying attention to bloodthirsty alien hunters...)
I'd still like to see Predator vs. Daredevil, mind you. Take away its camouflage advantage, but no healing factor etc.
I suspect most other Marvel heroes would just stomp them. Predator vs. Hulk could be... brief.
I read the first issue of Gwen: Shadow Gwen Clones: Gwens on marvel unlimited
It’s not awful or anything. But coming right after that Gwenverse thing which had a bunch of Gwens mashed up into different heroes, it feels very much like marvel has no substantive ideas for Gwen or her world. Instead of introducing more unique versions of spider foes, here have what if we shoved a phd and robot arms into a Gwen. That’s interesting right?
Forever liveblogging the AvengersI mean, they don't have any plans for Gwen's world. She's got no villains, they can't do any large parts with her without an ongoing, and they've exposed her secret identity.
Author of The Rules of Supervillainy, Cthulhu Armageddon, and United States of Monsters. What the Hell are you talking about, she has villains. She had stuff going on in her world.
They just havn't been doing anything with it out of pure laziness and lack of any sort of ambition.
They can literally do whatever they want with Gwen's setting. Their inability to do so is an indictment on the writers for not doing so than anything on the fault of the character.

"I am Alpharius. This is a lie."Hah.
So just like the original Gwen Stacy, the writers have no clue how to use her.
At least she won't die this time.
One Strip! One Strip!
Though I have noted that Steve is off with the Uncanny Avengers while T'Challa is on the regular team.
Maybe a little continuity fallout from the whole beat him while he refuses to fight back thing.
Also, that really made Steve look bad. Why did they have Cap do that? Did the writers hate him as well?
One Strip! One Strip!
