Looks like Perlmutter’s lackeys have struck again! A essay criticizing America by Mark Waid was removed and replaced with a more palpable essay for Marvel #1000
Admittedly the essay is somewhat poorly worded, it sounds like Waid is advocating for a violent revolution.
Edit: Darn, you beat me to it.

Waid: "EAT THE RICH but use a fork and knife have some decorum for fucks sake"
Marvel: -monocle pop-
(Not at all an accurate representation)

Forever liveblogging the AvengersARTICLE: "Marvel is trying to be 'apolitical' and using Captain America to do it!"
CAPTAIN AMERICA: *explicitly defends illegal immigrants, points out how they were exploited by big business before before tossed aside and are now the target of hate groups wearing Confederate flags* What now?
Its weird that we live in a world where Captain America beating up people wearing the Confederate flag and trying to do a murder is controversial.
Marvel should keep having Cap beat up such people until its not controversial anymore. And also Nazis. Every issue he punches a Nazi.
Forever liveblogging the AvengersCAP: Hey, Bucky, what you— {casually punches Nazi} doing?
BUCKY: Not— {punches a Nazi} much. You?
CAP: {kicks a Nazi in the groin} Same.

Doctor Who — Long Way Around: https://www.fanfiction.net/s/13536044/1/Doctor-Who-Long-Way-AroundIt will win all the Eisners!
Anyone else pick up Marvel Comics #1000?
"They truly were a Aqua Teen Hunger Force"I'm actually kinda confused about something.
The characters are supposed to be in chronological order more or less, right? So why does the page referring to Golden Age Miss America, Madeline Joyce, have an America Chavez story instead? The little note even tells you, "1943: Miss America debuted in Marvel Mystery Comics #43." I mean, include her if you want, but at least give the right information!
Also guess who did the first Spider-Man segment?

And the White Tigers in the White Tiger page where Angela and Ava, but not Hector Ayala. Though he is mentioned.
And the Citizen V page was given to the current one, Roberto Da Costa.
By the way, i love how Ewing Tied the Scientist Guild, Three Xs and Enclave together.

"They truly were a Aqua Teen Hunger Force"Alright, I've done it: Marvel Comics #1000.
By the way, this is my favorite page in the book.◊

Should tropes belonging to Marvel Comics 1001 be added to that page when that comes out?
Also, thank you for your work on that page.

"They truly were a Aqua Teen Hunger Force"Huh you made a page, congrats.
"I am Alpharius. This is a lie."Guys, I have some terrible personal news. I just read Marville #1. I thank you for appreciating my privacy in this difficult time.
Holy shit, is it ever terrible. It is every bit as bad as people say. Jemas is trying so hard to be funny, but none of the jokes are actual jokes. They're just references, and he expects people to laugh because, haha, it's a Superman reference. He makes fun of the controversy over the Washington Redskins name, because I guess fuck the dignity of Indigenous people? Just this random bit of defending racism thrown in for no fucking reason. I think Bill Jemas might have legitimately been an asshole. He was sure an awful writer with absolutely no talent for comedy.
I feel terrible for Mark Bright, who had to draw this shit. He was clearly half-assing it, at least. Not like Jemas put in any effort, so Bright had no reason to.
It is actually one of the worst comics ever, deserving every single bit of scorn ever heaped on it, with no redeeming qualities whatsoever.
X-Men X-Pert, my blog where I talk about X-Men comics.Press F to pay respects to the part of Tiamatty's sanity that Marville just murdered.
I just found out that Mystique's two baby daddies met each other face to face. And Azazel being the jealous type cut off Sabertooth's head. For some reason, I am okay with this love triangle. It's a train wreck.

The one good use of Azazel. That entire Weapon X run by Pak, et al. was such a ride. It was often ridiculous, and usually in very fun ways.
X-Men X-Pert, my blog where I talk about X-Men comics.I’m so sorry for your loss, Tiamatty
But also that Elsa Bloodstone page posted up a bit was delightful
Forever liveblogging the AvengersOne of the worst parts of Marville is when parts of Marville are actually somewhat scientifically accurate. Like when he claims sea mammals evolved from land mammals. Sure, evolutionary biologists are disputing the biological use of a Whale's pelvis, but it's accurate as far as we know. I don't know whether Jemas knew it for real or he just guessed.

or what about the part where Homeless Peter David shows up?
Because petty and mean spirited jabs at at other creators that you made a bet with is so funny, right guys?
Edited by megaeliz on Aug 30th 2019 at 11:58:26 AM
We all know about the bet between the two. That's just Jemas being petty.
I think the third issue is the worst though, simply because of how lazy the formatting is.
I’m still scratching my head on how this actually got published by a mainstream publisher. It looks like someone just overlaid the script over the art and called it a day.
Also, presumably the J stands for Jemas.

This might be an unpopular opinion but I wouldn't mind if Ben Grimm gained the ability to shift in and out of human form.
Sigh. I hate headlines like this. Because I doubt the reason the essay was pulled was because it was too "political." Why? Because Marvel also published this issue today.
