Shit. And I had just bought my new video card before that.
Could be worse, I bought a gpu last year whilst the craze was still going on.
Avatar SourceHey so Windows 10 has been acting weird for awhile now. I'll get a notification that it'll restart in order to update but when I check via settings it shows my laptop as being up to date. And then when it does restart (Usually when I leave it unattended for a bit.) I get the same notification. I just came back to my laptop having restarted a few minutes ago and I've got a notification saying it'll update soon. This time it seems like there actually is an update but I find it weird that my laptop keeps giving me notifications that it's going to update even when it doesn't actually need to.
Is there anything I can do about this? My setting are already set up so that my laptop only updates when I manually choose to install them but that doesn't seem to be working.
So, sorta dumb question. I got a G613 Logitech keyboard that is wireless via both bluetooth and wi-fi. Does it really make any difference if I use one over the other?
Remember, these idiots drive, fuck, and vote. Not always in that order.Bluetooth uses less power and is somewhat more secure.
Avatar SourceSo I still don't know what's up with imgur on reddit.
My imgur links won't display correctly there, even when they did display correctly previously.
There's something about updating but I don't know what that means for either imgur or reddit
The Crystal Caverns A bird's gotta sing.Something happended with the way Mozilla is parsing javascript -I can't see Imgur and Pinterestnote on it or load Reddit correctly.
Waterfox is fine.

"Yup. That tasted purple."It's nice typing on a mechanical keyboard. Finally got one lol. Redragon Kala is the one I got. Also got a controller while I was in the store.
I'm reading this because it's interesting. I think. Whiskey, Tango, Foxtrot, over. What switch does the keyboard use?

Avatar SourceOk so I got something strange going on and don't know where else to post it. On a retailer web site I shopped from before, namely DXL, I need to reset my account's password. Every time I try to do so, I get this message: "Could not open an SMTP connection".
I tried again in Chrome's incognito mode and again on Edge, still the same error.
Remember, these idiots drive, fuck, and vote. Not always in that order.SMTP is an email protocol, are you using an unusual email host?
Avatar SourceNo, just gmail.
Remember, these idiots drive, fuck, and vote. Not always in that order.Sounds like an issue on the part of the retailer's site, whatever backend call on the server to send the email is failing. Nothing you could do besides try and alert their customer support to the issue.
Outemu Blues.
I'm reading this because it's interesting. I think. Whiskey, Tango, Foxtrot, over.OK, this is getting ridiculous. I spent a few months in miraculous freedom from the problem that I had mentioned a couple of pages back — not sure if it was because of changing my laptop usage habits or a system update that slipped in while I wasn't looking. However, since yesterday, the issue came back again... only in a weird, quasi-selective fashion.
See, back when this first happened, the problem's manifestation would affect everything on screen. Now? It only manifests while a specific window/tab is active! Example: I'm net surfing on Google Chrome, with about 10 tabs open, and I open a new tab to watch a Youtube video. The video tab runs fine for an arbitrary amount of time (not consistent from what I see)... then the flashing screen glitch happens for no apparent reason. But if I switch to any other tab in Chrome (which just so happen to be mostly text), the glitch stops and everything works fine... until I switch back to the Youtube tab. Yesterday, BTW, I could run Youtube videos that are 15-30 minutes long fine, but the glitch happens for a couple of seconds at the end when the post-video collection of recommended videos are being brought up. And when I turned off the computer last night before going to bed, the screen had the glitch while it was shutting down background processes.
WTF is going on?!
Fiat iustitia, et pereat mundus.Microsoft, who kept disparaging linux and who used their backroom deals to make MS Office the standard...
...is telling people to switch to an OS it has no part of?
This is bad for Nokia and shows signs that Micro$oft - once the company that slew Mozilla, Wordperfect and dominated PC's is starting to lose that mojo.
They'll keep themselves in the PC market, they may try to bend the Android OS like they did with Java script (most of the problems and backdoors in it are due to Micro$oft trying to pimp IE at the expense of other browsers).
Are the rumors true that the next Windows browser will be based on Chrome?
All night at the computer, cuz people ain't that great. I keep to myself so I won't be on The First 48This isn't 2001 anymore. Steve Ballmer's gone. Nadella isn't running this ship on the "embrace, extend, and extinguish" philosophy of the 90s and early 2000s, MS has been legitimately embracing Linux, and Windows 10 Mobile has been on bugfix-and-security-patch-only life support since late 2017 so this was inevitably going to happen.
> Steve Ballmer's gone.
i heard saying Developers three times summons him though
New theme music also a boxThe silly thing is, I hadn't noticed my phone had Office on it until I saw it pointed out.

There's also second hand GP Us because of the RTX launch, and I think I saw some major tech reviewer pointing out that most second hand cards are actually fine. Not all second hand stock is worn put cryptocurrency mining equipment.
That, and you can always check what protections the seller (and possibly normal consumer protections) has regarding claiming something is in good condition and its being not.
