I prefer using both panels, it's clearer.
Agreed.
Yeah, it's clearer if you completely blank the description and the name of the trope and instead this image were the only thing above the examples. The current image is redundant to the degree of baffling.
I'm not crazy, I just don't give a darn!I agree with OP. The additional panel is redundant. The single frame has everything we need. Keep it concise.
The longer version is already on ImageLinks.Flushing Toilet Screaming Shower as well.

Rhymes with "Protracted."Agree. Single panel is already clear. Clearer isn't always better, especially sacrificing other stuff (like "concise") unnecessarily. A third panel explaining plumbing would be even clearer, but even more redundant.

Becky: Who are you? The Mysterious Stranger: An angel. Huck: What's your name? The Mysterious Stranger: Satan.Single panel is clear enough.
The Internet misuses, abuses, and overuses everything.Bump; anyone else for the single-panel version?
I went ahead and put up the single-panel version. Locking up.
Opening this one up for re-evaluation. Hopefully this time there will be more input than six plus two votes on a crowner.
On the current image◊, only the bottom panel is really necessary. It's a clear illustration on its own, and the other panel is just useless text that's already covered by the description and, more importantly, the panel right below it.
What I'm saying is that the bottom panel alone can easily be understood with a quick glance, so the top panel is an unnecessary distraction.
I'm not crazy, I just don't give a darn!
