Katahane. What's the deal with this one?

[up]It seems to be an eroge. Google Text doesn't give much, but Google Images without Safe Search look slightly fishy to me - young people with exposed genitalia, if I see right.

A german website gives a rather non-sex plot summary.

  • When are the sex scenes located?: Towards the end.
    • Are they spread out over the game?: No, they're mostly at the end. For the second section of the story (which features a different cast) they do occur fairly regularly though.
      • How much gameplay is there between sex scenes?: A decently lengthy bit of time. Personally, I think there are too many. Not enough to be porn
    • Are they only at the endings?: Yeah, basically. Not at the ending itself, but only once you're on the path to get one and can't really mess up anymore.
      • How hard do you have to work to get an ending?: Invest hours of gameplay, make certain decisions. Standard visual novel stuff.
      • Are they in every ending? Every good ending?: Yes.
  • Are the sex scenes optional via a choice in the menu?: No.
  • Would the story make sense without them with minimal or no rewriting?: Most of them. During that second section I mentioned before they have some bearing on the plot.
  • Are the scenes made up of stills, or are they animated?: Stills.
  • How explicit are the sex scenes?: This is the damning part. This girl has more sex scenes than any other, all of them lesbian scenes. I don't think that makes any difference but I guess maybe it should be mentioned? Warning, NSFW and the girl looks underaged so I'm not really sure I should even link to it: This is her mostly naked. As you can see, she's very young looking. She's technically the oldest person in the cast but that kind of justification doesn't count here. Anyway, vanilla sex apart from the pedo issue. Ages are vague, but everything is legally of age at least.

As for my personal opinion and in summation, it's a really fluffy story that has more sex scenes than I'd like (though not enough to be porn) but is damned by pedo content.

hxxp://isprime.cdn.alljapanesepass.com/contents/36/thumbs//katahane-session-2/images/316x213/8s.jpg is the image I saw on GIS.

I am sure it's NSFW, so don't turn hxxp into http in unsafe places.

hxxp://www.puuko.com/set/katahane-session-2/?nats=MDowOjk&tour=newtour is the source of the image [up][up]. For the same reason, not linking directly.

Yes, it looks like paedo-pandering stuff.

In the interests of full disclosure, the character in question appears to be a variety of Ridiculously Human Robot according to an easily-located review.

She is, and I did say she was the oldest character in the story. However, she looks 12 and acts 14.

I have no interest in disclosure, full or partial, that involves the tired and invalid argument of really 7000000 years old.

12 and 14, it's still flashing your tits so pedos can jerk off, and it doesn't sit well with me, at all. I'd say cut it

Now, now. Robots with tits is a completely different invalid argument! And I know better than to attempt to weigh in on the actual relevant issue of whether any character looks too young.

Shrug, I'm the one who said it ought to be cut in the first place. I'm just pointing out that the fact she's a robot is irrelevant here.

Yeah, I have to agree. That's not appropriate and she doesn't seem like just a flat chested adult.

These images mean nothing to me (I've seen even worse stuff in some scientific papers on PMC), but it clearly looks like paedopandering.

Supporting cut.

I don't think this should be kept. It's obvious she's meant to be a child. It's for the chopping block.

Yup, no question about this one. Which makes it rather disturbing that one of us gave it an angel. Then again, I've made mistakes with votes before so I can only hope this is one of those.

Based on the images that Arha and Septimus provided, devilhead for pedoshit would be my call. Arha's report [up]@3 is frankly the best defense and even it suggests to me that this is at best borderline as far as the "Is it porn?" criteria goes. Torch it.

[down] So then (Little girl+Spread eagle+lunch+breakfast)=Komodin+clothes? Interesting.

Hm?

-sees provided images-

... Yep, it is definitely paedoshit-lookin'. It's getting a devilhead from me.

After all, little girl - clothes + spread-eagle = Komodin - (lunch + breakfast)

My guess is that whoever gave it the angel was judging only by the amount of sexual content, which isn't enough to get it called porn.

Or maybe a misvote or judging based on its reputation, which is basically 'surprisingly good homosexual romances' (and is also unwarranted, the relationships in question are extremely shallow) and doesn't go into the apparent ages of the characters at all.

Anyway, it doesn't really matter at present. One more devilhead and it's doomed to the pit.

How much of the work does this "pedoshit" constitute? If it's just one scene in the whole game? If so, then why should it be deleted?
