Vampires never sparkled before either.

@Rocket Dude - I'm perfectly calm. Am I using scary letters or something?

Well, it's very late and I'd rather fall asleep thinking about how awesome the UFC fights were instead of how much I can't understand people who defend pedo-animes.

[up][up]That's not in any way remotely comparable. Sunlight killing vampires was never a part of vampire-mythos prior to Nosferatu. On the other hand, Succubi were invented to explain nocturnal emission.

If you're going to banter about the definition of Succubus, I recommend taking it elsewhere or asking a mythological expert.

@Martello

The very fact that we're arguing about it here is what shouldn't happen. It's becoming name-calling and not deliberation.

Everyone understands that this "pedo", whatever it is, isn't fit for this site. But what counts as "pedo" is where people argue and that's where 5P's work comes in. Saying that "a show with, as set put it, a TEN. YEAR. OLD. SUCCUBUS" qualifies as pedo is part of that argument. It doesn't matter how correct that argument is, that doesn't belong here.

But they are both made up monsters is what I am saying. I could write a succubus that survives by kissing dudes or on guys looking at them. It's up to the author.

@rocketdude OK, but I still think they are made up.

Lotte is really just about "A kid trying to avoid growing up (with a premise that makes the audience agree with her.) meets a butler who will enable that." it was only creepy if you go looking for it, same for Full House.

The Anime is licenced in the US and is not nearly as bad as you keep saying... If it was that bad it wouldn't be. (having not read the manga I have no clue on if it is worse.)

KNJ and Aki Sora (the whole manga is about incest.) though oh yes I agree chop.

Very staunch supporter that if you can legally get it in the US and it's not Porn Without Plot it's fine for TV Tropes.

I'm pretty sure sparking teenage vampires are a bit different from 10-year-old succubi.

[up][up]And then you have to ask why the author just didn't choose those things instead of having a 10-year-old succubus. I mean, you can get the same sort of character development with a tamer premise.

@149: Yes indeed, that is what the term means. And if you find the depiction of a race of creatures that requires sexuality to survive, yet are not created fully formed and mature to be inherently pedophilia-pandering, then I'm afraid there is a deal else you must find objectionable.

[up][up][up][up]And even that with a ten-year-old girl would qualify as pædoshit.

[up][up][up] Full House is about ten-year-old sex-dæmons? surprised

She survives on milk from a cow demon. [up][up] But I think that the decision should be made on the contents on the work itself, not the premise. If there's an innocent sounding show that is really about explicit sex with kids, cut it. If there's a pervy sounding show that is PG, keep it.

We don't need yet another thread to turn into circular semantics arguments about a particular work or three. Giving this a cooldown lock.
