Zero Brina Fan is a misclick.
I was the one who flagged Fill The Moon. I read the trope page looong ago before all this started, and I can say with confidence the material needs to be looked at.

"If you aren't him, then you apparently got your brain from the same discount retailer, so..." - FighteerAm I the only one who wishes we wouldn't just fling around the term "loli" like we're 1900's rich people throwing around silver dollars? It just leads to us diverting our attention to things that aren't bad at all. I can't be the only one who finds that frustrating.
Blue Pacific, signing off...We're not supposed to be doing that, actually. I've been trying to avoid doing so myself, but since I was quoting something said instory regarding Ell (the character in question from My Girlfriend Is The President) I used that word.
It's not us, it's everyone else who has been using the l word years and years before the content policy took effect.
Indeed. I don't use the words "loli" or "shota" myself, except to refer to lolicon and shotacon content. If I'm referring to characters, I just use the term "little girl" or "little boy."
Unfortunately that does not seem to be the predominant usage.
Hi there! I would like to launch a work page, but i'm not sure if the work would pass under the current guidelines.
Is there going to be a thread for future works to be reviewed or...? I'm not sure what to do, to be honest, and i'm not certain i'd be objective enough to launch it on my own so I thought i'd ask.
Whats the work?
EDIT: Now that i've had the chance to sleep (a little) I need to look through my copies again. I'll bring it up later on probably.
Or it might get addressed later on.

Unfortunately that does not seem to be the predominant usage.
On this wiki, anyway, which is why we had to ban it.
What's precedent ever done for us?From my experience it doesn't seem to be the predominant usage anywhere in the anime fandom.
The usage I've seen is that "loli" can mean anything from a precocious little girl, to a flat highschool girl.
So just the fact that a character is referred to as a "loli" does not help us in determining if a work needs to be banned.
Indeed. That was the reason why almost all the trope titles with "loli" in them (Badass Loli, Token Loli, etc.) were renamed some time ago, IIRC.
Join us in our quest to play all RPG video games! Moving on to disc 2 of Grandia! We've already had the "loli" conversation. It didn't go well. Maybe we shouldn't have it again.
"Did anybody invent this stuff on purpose?" - Phillip Marlowe on tequila, Finger Man by Raymond Chandler.Regardless it would be for the best of everyone involved if all discussions stayed in english. As someone mentioned earlier having at least an understanding of common foreign terms will be useful, but ultimately we are predominantly an english speaking community.
#IceBearForPresidentWe do have a wiki page on Anime Fanspeak.
That doesn't change anything though. This is an English wiki populated predominantly by English speakers.
"Polite life will fill you full of cancer." - Iggy Pop "I've seen the future, brother, it is murder." -Leonard CohenHuh. That's useful.
Either way if someone has to consult a definitions page every other post then you're still doing it wrong.
#IceBearForPresidentPeople can at least provide a short definition if they must use fanspeak.
Like this? yaoi(dudes doing dudes for ladies)
something like that.
Is yaoi specifically for ladies? I all ways thought they where a Periphery Demographic.
Yep; it's pretty much the gender-flipped version of stereotypical lesbian porn for straight men. Bara is aimed at actual gay men.
Experience has taught me to investigate anything that glows.Multiple Demographic Appeal, I think. Or rather, that some is directed to women, while some is directed to gay men. I'm guessing you'd be surprised at how much shoujo & josei has yaoi in it.
Bara is for gay men. Yaoi is for women.
The Crystal Caverns A bird's gotta sing.
Zero Brina Fan is also a Troper page.
