Yes, they do. The current artist, Joe Staton, also drew Batman stories like Going Sane and several issues of The Batman Adventures.
Where did Batman ever get ahold of the Batmobile? I'm not talking about form the Dark Knight but from the comics. Has it ever gotten an origin?
"You're an enemy of art and I pity your ignorance" - Domingo Montoya Help save the rainforest for free simply by going to Ecosia.org.There's an origin for it in Matt Wagner's Batman and the Monster Men. I don't know if it's the origin of the Batmobile but it's a good Year One story that explains how/why he got it (and has some great Alfred snark about it).
EDIT: Here's◊ the page from that story. In Matt Wagner's follow story Batman and the Mad Monk he goes on to add little bat fins on the sides.

this may be my first time posting here, so i'll pick something easy as my starter:
No matter what incarnation you find it in, the Batmobile has always been the coolest car on TV. which version is your favorite? i'm partial to the original TAS Batmobile,◊ the long, sleek beauty with the cockpit all the way at the back.
All things are lawful for me, but all things are not expedient: all things are lawful for me, but all things edify not.So what do you guys think was in Batman's Box in JL? We know his Superman Box and his Wonder Woman box, but what was in his that shocked Clark so much.
I honestly like the Golden Age Batmobile the best. It was just a simple sports car that I think made Batman look cooler riding it.
"You're an enemy of art and I pity your ignorance" - Domingo Montoya Help save the rainforest for free simply by going to Ecosia.org.Early 70's Batmobile, ditto. My personal fave.
Although I have a lot of affection for the sheer glorious silliness of the 50's bubble-top model.
The Batmobile from the Burton films is my favourite. It's a distalation of everything those films got right in my opinion.
Am I a good man or a bad man?The Batmobile has had a variety of origins. The original "origin" had it built for him by a former race-car driver whose name he'd helped to clear (hmm...I could be thinking of the origin of the Bat-Plane, though...). There's a Batmobile origin (sort of) in one of the episodes of Batman:The Animated Series.
I still have the old Super Powers collection Batmobile sitting on my bookshelf. That design is my favorite, personally.
I don't know if you guys are aware of this, but Catwoman got killed off in Justice League Of America #4. Why? Because the bad guys not only knew that Batman would go after them for that, but they wanted him to do so. <Dismayed>
I'm hopeful that this death doesn't stick. This character has been an important part of the Batman franchise for decades, and there's too much money to be made. Still, I have to admit to being shocked. I mean, this character dodged the infamous Stuffed Into The Fridge trope several times, and out of all the characters I could imagine getting a Boom Headshot, she wasn't one of them.
Oh, Equestria, we stand on guard for thee!Man, you really are slow, aren't you?
Bite my shiny metal ass.Sorry. I haven't been really keeping up with the news. I've been so busy.
Still, unless those bad guys have special strategies for Batman, they are so toast.
Oh, Equestria, we stand on guard for thee!Be nice Nightwire.
"War without fire is like sausages without mustard." - Jean Juvénal des UrsinsI didn't mind the fact they killed her that much (I never was a fan of hers anyway), but how ignominious and casual it was. And for such a high caliber character, dying in such a way, not even in a milestone, but as a mere way to kickstart yet another crisis that will most likely have little lasting repercussions otherwise, it's just discomforting.
>Believing she is actually Dead >2013.
>Using Greentext on TVT. >Any year.
But yeah she is obviously not dead, and not only becuse her ongoing is still ongoing but also because shes in Trinity War promo's.
She may be "dead" but the events of (or leading up to) the Trinity War will revive her. The current events in her ongoing will take place before these events.
Or, she was shot in the head but they missed her brain or some other comic book nonsense.
Lol, Comic Books.
"Please crush me with your heels Esdeath-sama!Anyone who takes such a blatant Comic Book Death seriously is just deluding themselves anyway. There's no way in hell DC is killing off Catwoman.
Bite my shiny metal ass. That's right, because Catwoman is an A-list character. The sort of character that death almost never occurs to, and if it did, s/he will return, 100% guaranteed.
In fact, I heard an interesting theory about what's going on...Selina Kyle is the victim of identity theft. There are hints supporting this theory:
- Steve Trevor told her as much.
- Catwoman found out some cryptic info about a Russian woman. Perhaps that's the identity thief.
- If you look, you'll notice that Catwoman's eyes have been changing colour lately. They're supposed to be green, but they've been changing to brown and blue. Maybe that's just the editors being lazy, or maybe that's a hint that something is off.
If this theory is true, then that also opens the door to Fridge Horror. Because...how can we be sure that we've been seeing the real Selina Kyle or the identity thief in action since the beginning? Also, Batman has had sex with Catwoman. If that was the identity thief he was having sex with...not cool. <Repulsed>
Oh, Equestria, we stand on guard for thee!On one level, yes Fridge Horror. On another though, totally hilarious. World's Greatest Detective and he couldn't figure out that the person he's sleeping with isn't the woman he's fancied for years.
You know, I have a question about one of Batman's Bat-Suits. If any of you have played Arkham City, you know the 1970's costume? Well, I know that, in the comics, it was a blue cowl, cape, and gloves, with the grey bodysuit and the bat logo. But can anyone tell me why Batman chose bright blue of all colors? Firstly, what does blue have to do with bats? Secondly, if he's trying to strike fear into criminal's hearts, why did he choose bright blue, a reassuring color, than something a bit darker. I guess I can understand the reasoning of it in the Silver Age, as it was a goofier time, but Alan Freakin' More wrote comics about Batman with the blue duds? Maybe I'm nitpicking but this has always bothered me.
"You're an enemy of art and I pity your ignorance" - Domingo Montoya Help save the rainforest for free simply by going to Ecosia.org.I have heard that for stealth, black is actually not a good choice. Perhaps the blue simply works better at night?
Because it was the 30's and they needed to sell to little kids.
So how about that zero year huh? I found it...a little underwhelming, but it is just the first issue so I'm not gonna make a definitive statement. I bet the Riddler will be the head of the red hood gang.
