Ladros' VA is like Hades from Hercules only flamboyant and more annoying. Who's the actor?

Lotta people in the business.

The Hades comparison is rather apt cause he gives the rather 1-dimensional character a laughable charm I never found him to have before.

I will say that I find the satisfaction at Pouf's death sort of hilarious because I was never super invested in Meruem's and Komugi's relationship (though the final scene was still touching) and besides him standing in the way of that, there's really no way to argue he's any more of a monster than Youpi or Pitou.

But because he got in the way of shipping, HE MUST NOT BE FORGIVEN!

I disliked Pouf less because of the shipping and more because he was a manipulative tool to everyone.

On My Hero, the Muscular fight was never one of my favorites, and it still isn't, but I will say the anime did elevate it a bit just by presentation. So good on it for that.

SAO: I still don't know what crime Asuna's talking about. Fornication is a possibility, but I highly doubt that's what she means. It's unlikely she killed anyone, as unlike Kirito, she hesitates to finish off Kuradeel. I suppose she could be talking about using her brother's Nerve Gear without permission, but that's one messed-up moral equivalency.

Megalo Box: I'm surprised no match ever went past 12 rounds before. As for weaponizing the Integrated Gear, there is an ethical issue about making sure all soldiers so augmented have their free consent to the procedure.

HXH: Contagious fallout radiation is Artistic License – Nuclear Physics, and that's all I have to say about that.

Shippuden: Actually, there are more episodes about the ostrich called Condor.

It's not radiation but a kind of poison. The Beggar's Rose isn't an actual nuke but rather a fantasy equivalent.

I feel like the Rose Bomb was most likely made with Nen included so its powerful contagion abilities could possibly be outright magical.

Its funny, Meruem & Komugi's final moments is pretty much some of the most romantic & tenders moments I've ever seen in a shonen & its not even among anyone from the overall main cast.

Like shit its amusing as Hell. Meruem's love-struck eyes, that was a real sight. Makes me wish shonen MC's in general could be even a fraction that romantic or tender to their love interests. tongue

As far as romance in shonen goes, I've been seeing a bunch of praise for the romance in Hinomaru Sumo.

@LSBK: Reducing it to shipping is being disingenuous. Pouf was actively working towards making the King a worse person and employing a lot of nasty and duplicitous tactics to do so. He's hatable for a lot of reasons. (great character though)

Hinomaru Zumou built up over time her interest in Hinomaru.

And to think early on she was a brocon who disliked him. then her brother says something innocent but rude far later that earns him a hard slap from her about Hinomaru.

@ LSBK: Late reply, but I'm with Hob and Moth on this one. The Meruem/Komugi shippers who hate Pouf simply because he's "in the way" aside (and let's not pretend that some of the people who ship Meruem with Pouf are any better because shipping wars seem to needlessly bring out the worst in fandoms), there's plenty of reasons to legitimately hate Pouf (which goes to show you how effective the writing was in showcasing his villainy and nefariousness).

Pouf, who ironically saw himself as the Only Sane Man of the three, actively plotted to kill a girl who he knew full well was close to the King out of a mix of jealousy and sheer fanaticism about what he felt the King should be (as opposed to what the King actually was and could develop into), going as far as to take advantage of Meruem's amnesia in an attempt to mold Meruem to his liking.

Let's also not forget how his scales ended up killing tens of thousands of people in the NGL due to sudden bodily failure (I think the number of casualties was somewhere in the 40,000 range), which might just give him the highest body count of any individual Chimera Ant seen in the series (save—maybe—the Queen). And then there's the fact that he was cocooning multiple humans, like what we saw happen with Palm, to turn them into hybrid Nen users that could erode human society from the inside, serve as high-quality meals for Meruem, or both.

Now let's compare that to Pitou and Youpi.

Yes, Pitou did mercilessly kill Kite and then used Nen to lobotomize and reanimate his body, which rightfully earned them Gon's wrath. However, Pitou was also the only royal guard member to have no qualms about Komugi and her (positive) effect on the King. Because of their unwavering, self-sacrificing loyalty to Meruem, Pitou was willing to not only heal Komugi at Meruem's behest but surrender to Gon and Killua because, to them, Komugi's safety came first. And, of course, they never once tried to manipulate Meruem like Pouf and Youpi did.

Meanwhile, Youpi goes from being simpleminded and so singularly focused on how he could better serve Meruem that he asks Pouf why he doesn't just kill Komugi if he thinks she's a hindrance to the King to sparing a severely wounded Shoot and then later doing the same for Morel when he could've easily killed him, Knuckle, and Meleoron. And this is despite Youpi apparently having no human genetic material in him whatsoever.

Simply put, Pouf was a bastard, and I find it very hard to argue how he doesn't end up being the most evil of the royal guard trio.

[up][up][up] and [up]Not the only reason, I'll give you that, but still a prominent one. And as I said, I still don't think you can actually make an argument that Youpi and Pitou were better.

All three of them were actively working towards the destruction of humanity, and I see no real reason to think any of them turned from that.

I think the main difference is that Pitou & Youpi had some semblance of honor & decency however bare it is.

They are still evil as shit but they are both a shade of black whole Pouf is a darker shade.

Sure none of them were good people but even then one of them was the worst.

Eh, maybe I just don't ascribe as much value to that as others do. I'll rephrase, if Pouf is a 10, then Pitou and Youpi are like 9.5, and 9.8, respectively, by the end of things.

While Pitou's and Youpi's changes are interesting to observe, they are, when all is said and done, slight and should Mereum had gone on with his genocide, I doubt either of them would have made of fuss. The changes only stand out because they started out as 10s to begin with.

Of course, it's all besides the point, because Komugi couldn't be allowed to bear another Chimera Ant Queen. Of all the attributes of the Chimera Ants, their fecundity is the most destructive. A species that can reproduce like insects, while also having the strength of apex predators and the intelligence of a human is in itself an Extinction-Level Event. They had to be eradicated or they would cause a mass extinction.

I wasn't aware there was anyone who though Meruem's generals were anything less than amoral. They're all great characters, but still villains who needed to die.

[up] And amoral is indeed the correct term. They are animals acting according to their survival instincts, not sadists looking to commit mass murder for their pleasure. They aren't evil, but they a plague, and therefore need to be exterminated.

... so i think the only reason they're doubling up SAO again is because they couldn't air The Promised Neverland the previous week, due to either legal reasons, or the tapes weren't ready yet.

Did Aniplex really prohibit Toonami from announcing this until the 12 episodes were all released?
