The name has always bugged me too, but yeah you need to show some evidence.

This title is very confusing. The trope is supposed to be a cross-continuity reference, but it seems that lots of people are confusing this with Continuity Nod. Case in point: this Mythology Gag subpage for The Legend Of Zelda Skyward Sword is full of Call Forwards, not Mythology Gags.
The trope should be renamed. A clearer title I'm thinking of is "Cross-Continuity Nod", but I'm hoping for a better suggestion.
