Was looking at the Gun Gale Online blu-ray sets and gulping at the price.

Does anyone know if they'll be doing a Regular Edition?

Quintella was definitely using things regarding eugeo's past against him. While the anime seems to have skipped his parental issues the line regarding Tiese does point at the idea that his relationship with his parents was not good.

Quintella also essentially blocked out any other voices in his head to ensure he listened to what she was saying.

Speficially she locked them out after letting them try to talk him down.....except Kirito. She shut him off as soon as he began.

Eugeo fulfilled his destiny this week becoming A.L.I.C.E. The Sword Art Online that destroys Sword Golem and damages Quintella enough that Kirito now stands a chance instead of bowing to his fearboner.

For some reason I have been glimpsing this thread as "Sword Art Cuisine" each time it updates.

So you are now thinking about an SAO cooking spin-off named Sword Art Cuisine where the characters use their in-game weaponry to prepare unique dishes. And most of the episode is like an episode of Toriko where they go on epic quests to catch dinner.

And so the first half of Alicization comes to an end. the only person in Kiritos life that mattered as much as Asuna passes away wih Alice Zuberg so Alice Synthesis Thirty can live on.

Quinellas final scene implies Dying as Yourself, since Cardinal shares the same Fluctlight but became her own person so she wouldn't implode, and thus there was some part of her that wasn't completely bad and did love Underworld. Thankfully Kirito is never made to sympathize with her despite this and she died because the atrocities she indulged in were inexcusable.

Now Murricas come to ruin the day I was hoping for Double-Coma Kirito and Alice taking care of him for years would be here but if I understand right itll be next season.

Yeah, I wasn't ready to see it animated. I think it was handled better in the light novels it was all still incredibly effective on me.

[up]Yeah. That will be for the next two cours which will be coming in October.

The games are also getting an Alicization game.

Alice's and Eugeo's appearances in the games never made any sense in the first place: Project Alicization shouldn't even exist yet at any point before the end of Hollow Realization, as the Seed hasn't been released yet. They suffer no ill effects from their real bodies being in Sword Art: Origin, despite NP Cs suffering real injury and death in this game. No explanation is ever given for how they wind up in any of the games.

In any case, Girls Ops has canonized Argo being an ALO player and a Cait Sith. The current arc of Girls Ops seems to be delving into the Digital Ghost phenomenon, though Asuna hasn't appeared yet to give any kind of background to the other girls.

Presumably, Integral Factor will give you the opportunity to save Sachi. Ironically, it occurs to me that Sachi surviving would lead to a Bad Ending. Specifically, though there is some sexual tension between Kirito and Asuna in Progressive/Integral Factor, their relationship doesn't take off until the 74th Floor. If Kirito never winds up in a relationship with Asuna, he never gets recruited into the Knights of the Blood Oath, which in turn means he doesn't learn the information needed to figure out that Heathcliff is Kayaba, meaning the death game continues much longer. Furthermore, it's only because of Asuna that Kirito gets involved in the Fairy Dance fiasco. Without Kirito's involvement, Sugou doesn't get caught. Sure, his experiments will ultimately fail for technological reasons, but nothing betrays that he had anything to do with the SAO survivors not waking up on time, or that he's been embezzling from RCT. Not busting Sugou means Kirito doesn't get recruited by Kikuoka for the Death Gun case, which means six GGO players die before Kyouji betrays the conspiracy. Xaxa and Johnny Black get death or life sentences, but Kyouji runs off to America with Shino, who is now married to a serial killer.

Accel World and SAO are looking to be gaining more connections in recent Japanese volumes with Kamura (the company that made the augma) showing up in AW through revelations about Kuroyukihime.

[up]That's an interesting way to look at it.

It's entirely possible that Kirito and Asuna would have gotten together anyway because of True Love and all that jazz.

So I know people criticize Yuuki's backstory as contrived, not something that could occur in a developed country where blood is routinely tested. Thing is, there actually was a case of HIV transmission via contaminated transfusion in the United States in 2008: https://www.cdc.gov/mmwr/preview/mmwrhtml/mm5941a3.htm While extremely rare, there are false negatives in HIV testing, and blood banks are dependent upon at-risk donors self-reporting risk factors.

I think I remember seeing something like that page mentioned in a thread on R/anime when SAO II was airing. I think that one mentioned an event actually happening in 2004 when Mother's rosary was originally written as a web novel.

Halfway through Volume 16, it's starting to appear that Alice has the Cartwright Curse, which is ironic considering Gabriel has a Villainous Crush on her, and that he killed his first love out of jealousy, even though she hadn't done anything yet.

Finished Volume 16, and boy I was not expecting that twist. I never considered that the attackers would dupe gamers in America into fighting on their side under the illusion that it's just a game. Of course, Yui's right about the patriotism effect: if they went public with the secret of Project Alicization, not only would it be an inducement for more American gamers to log in, but it risks starting a full-scale war. This while Americans are just getting back to work after the Sestercentennial Weekend. This is without factoring in what Russia and China would do under the circumstances, as they may attempt to take long-desired moves while the US Navy is distracted dealing with Japan. It is no exaggeration to say that attempting to persuade the gamers to stay out for ethical reasons could wind up causing casualties in the millions.

That's actually besides the point. The point is that as integrated into society as the internet is, cyber warfare can very easily turn into conventional warfare as a result of people either not thinking through the implications of their actions or not caring. It only takes one piece of critical infrastructure being destroyed by a cyber attack before conventional retaliation is on the table. This is further aggravated by the asymmetry of military capabilities between the two powers, which could provoke Japan to use nuclear weapons once they start losing the conventional war.

So Alice refers to Bercoli as "Uncle." Ironically, they likely are family. Specifically, considering Rulid's population dynamics, it is likely that everyone in Rulid is a descendant of Bercoli. It'd be very interesting to see her reaction to learning that her mentor is actually her ~6xgreat-grandfather.

Integral Factor has gone well beyond Broad Strokes. The scenarios are downright absurd, including level 1 characters doing absurd feats, and Sinon gushing about submachine guns at the height of her PTSD.

The mechanics do not remotely resemble what SAO is supposed to be, it's an Anachronism Stew, the assisting characters mechanic makes no sense, your HP can randomly drop when changing maps, and a bunch of quests are mentioned without being available to you. Still, since it's free-to-play, it's still entertaining, and there is an interesting story here, just not one that is remotely plausible based on canon rules.
