I stopped following around the vampire arc I think, the problem I had by that time being that… I felt like the series was going nowhere. Has there been any significant development since then?

@Lyendith: Not really, no. Rather, not at all. They're currently in a plot where Miia was called home by her mother (and told to bring Kimihito), but it hasn't been progressing very fast at all.
It's been fun.
What would you count as development? Since the point were you both stopped reading, the cast hasn't progressed or changed in any real way. Even before those points, nothing new really happened except for Miia getting a job.
Existence Weighed Against Nonbeing
In general the main cast has really been pushed to the side. They haven't really been solidly in focus since before the vampire arc. The current thing has some potential, since it's focusing on Miia's background more, but Miia herself has been pretty Out of Focus in favor of the rest of the lamias.

Even when they were, I never felt interested in what they were doing. So really, the aimlessness for me has been there for linger than most of you.

Wasn't even flattery per se. They just liked cute snek accessories, but he was the first one to actually draw attention to those and compliment them on the choices. Skillful massaging definitely helped.
I know this manga is wall to wall fetishes, but I'm starting to suspect Okayado is particularly into lactation.

Apparently, 1778 Lamias took part in the gathering/snorgy. Miia's friends are Sanka(looks like Miia, but her hair is green and her head is flat on top), Miiwa(blonde, busty) and Maaru(pink hair, loli)
Chapter 64 available on the Comic Ryu site until just before Halloween. First part of Onsen arc. Promoted Fanboy s are one thing, but the guy fan-translating the series has put a ring on Polt's finger!

Does anyone else feel like the series has been focusing too much on the fanservice lately? Believe me, it feels weird to complain about that for something like Monster Musume, but what I mean is that aside from the first Lamia Village chapter the past several chapters have just been an excuse to have boobs around and not enough focus on what made the series entertaining for me, which was the characters and humor {fanservice just being a very much appreciated bonus}. Beforehand there was certainly plenty of fanservice yes, but it was attached to actual characters with entertaining, varied personalities and hijinks, rather than just shoving tits in your face. Hopefully the author will fix that whenever he recovers and starts working on the series again, however long that may be. In general I feel like the series has been declining ever since the Slime arc {which, while it didn't have the issues I described, I still didn't care for).
