Hope this is the correct forum to put this in. When browsing the A Song Of Ice And Fire pages, I saw that Detractor Nickname had been cut.

I understand this being a bad thing for negative fan nicknames, but was wondering if perhaps the trope could be re-created as in-universe only.

Hmmm, I could swear we've got it as something else.

I tried searching for it, maybe I missed it.

Is that different than Fan Nickname?

Becky: Who are you? The Mysterious Stranger: An angel. Huck: What's your name? The Mysterious Stranger: Satan.

Clicking on that link, I found that In-Series Nickname exists, although it doesn't have many wicks. I guess that is the trope I was looking for, since a negative in-series nickname is The Same But More Specific.

Actually, I say it could be re-purposed for one of the tropes in discussion here.

I'm on the internet. My arguments are invalid.

It was a redirect to Fan Nickname; I guess the cut was made for reasons similar to the "cut" of If You Know What I Mean.

I had a dog-themed avatar before it was cool.

1) that description needs a lot of work.

2) that trope is the result; this is more the reason.
