There should be a separate index for sexism.: Double Standard

I know fussing over the Double Standards page is beating a dead horse, but the way it's organized has bugged me since day one. Sure there's plenty of overlap between double standards and sexism, but they're not one and the same, and many of the tropes linked simply present one gender in an unflattering light with no comparison to the opposite (Fag Hag, Dumb Blonde, etc.). Tropes that are purely about sexism should be on their own page, and this one should solely be about tropes where conduct is okay for one group and not the other.

Yes, I think Gender Double Standard could be spun off from this. It leans too heavily on the idea of male vs. Female.

I'd be okay with the gender double standards on the page, just not "Sexism in General" or "Frequently Sexist in Delivery but not Sexist in Nature." What do either of those have to do with double standards?

Also, some of the entries are poorly written ("Acceptable Ethnic Targets: Black people making jokes about white people is acceptable, while white people making jokes about black people is MUCH less acceptable.") or are plain bitching.

So should we have a Super-Trope about Sexism?

I'm on the internet. My arguments are invalid.

[up][up] I'm saying that the gender double standards are so prevalent on the page, that all other double standards are ignored.
