No it's not. When they restarted the series after Smosh died they got a new narrator. Jon Bailey only does the honest movie trailers.

Is council guy dead? Xcom 2 left it vauge and I dont know if there is a clarifying scene in chimera squad.
Yep, pretty funny. I thought you were pulling my leg at first there, it's similar a lot of the time (though clearly still not as capable of sounding as deep).

According to the Voice actor, he was told by Firaxis that Council Guy successfully fought his way out and is alive.
when they restarted they were originally supposed to have a rotating cast of voice actors. This guy was the third one and they've mostly stuck to just using him after one rotation.

Well, what do you expect from Agent 47
Jon Bailey does so much Honest Trailers I just automatically associate him with the videos and hearing someone other than him is kinda jarring.
Yeah that guy almost Patton Oswalded that.
And we all know Council Guy has cheaty abilities. He took three shots at those guys barging into his room with a handgun. And they missed despite him having no cover. He's clearly heavily modded his playthrough.
Or he commands the quicksave function.
Patch is out
Fixed the disappearing item glitch, the Patchwork infinite action glitch, and a bunch more bugs.
Mach Weave got nerfed to +30 dodge.
And most importantly, the Black Market NP Cs now appear.
PANTS WEARING SECTOID WITH ATTITUDE IS BACK.
Is the reinforcement crash bug still a thing, though?
"successfully fought his way out" sounds like a bit of a stretch for the guy.
Something like "got captured, but XCOM took out the Elders before ADVENT were done interrogating him" would be a less improbable outcome, I think.
"And as long as a sack of shit is not a good thing to be, chivalry will never die."Finally bought the XCOM 2 bundle since it's on the Steam sale and I'm currently doing an XCOM games re/play marathon (Of both the Microprose and Firaxis strategy games) after hearing about XCOM: Chimera Squad from Zero Punctuation reminded me how much I loved the series.
... The entire thing's nearly 70GB!? The first game and its expansion set was only 18GB, how did AAA games get so big? o_O

War of the Chosen is basically a separate copy of the game, with its own asset files and stuff.
...Yeah, it's not terribly well-optimised.
Echoing hymn of my fellow passerine | Art blog (under construction)Oof.
Well, thankfully my current laptop has the free space to take it in.
But still... oof.
Here's a mystery to ponder - I updated Windows between my last campaign and the one I started today, completely wiped the main hard drive and started over. When I reinstalled XCOM 2, I find all of my last saves (and over a dozen autosaves) from my previous campaign. But the game doesn't think I've completed any of the TLP missions, even though I've still got the Steam achievements and the new attitudes saved to my master character pool, so I was forced to use an unlocker mod to make my dudes sufficiently smug, suspicious, angry and let's go!
Also, since Chimera Squad came out in the interim, I had to get the "No Hunter's Lodge" mod. It's a bit buggy in that occasionally floating heads drift behind characters on the barracks menu and suddenly materialize bodies a few seconds later, but that's still less awkward than displaying the skins and stuffed heads of sentient beings.
Current earworm: "Awe of the Unknown"I was a bit surprised too, when I noticed Chimera Squad to be 35GB.
"And as long as a sack of shit is not a good thing to be, chivalry will never die."Oof. Running with "Multiple Sitreps Guaranteed" seemed almost like cheating at first, since I got lucky with a bunch of perfect-visibility missions with supply crates and civilian contacts on the field. Then I got a terror mission with "Surgical," i.e. "only three soldiers." The only reason it was bearable was because it was a Haven Assault, so the blueshirts could pull their weight, but still, oof.
Also turns out you can't cheese those full-visibility missions with a Sniper, since the thing about Squadsight is that you need a squadmate to have sight of an enemy, the fog of war being disabled is irrelevant.
Current earworm: "Awe of the Unknown"Did you know that Claymore's Heavy Ordnance Skill (gives two of whatever grenade he equips) works on Motile Inducers?
Well it does. Sorry enemies, you don't get to have any turns this encounter.
I've also heard good things about giving him turncoat grenades, as he can berserk more or less an entire room if he throws two of them.
Health sure is versatile. It's possible to be both light-headed and dim-witted. At the same time, no less.Yup, double motile inducers made Claymore a staple in my Impossible lineup.
Because breaking the action economy is devilishly fun!
Also, Shelter's relocate triggers Overwatch if he swaps with an enemy. Including Patchwork's auto-shock and Godmother's Close Combat Specialist.
Also, Turncoat Grenades last a turn longer than they really should - after attacking an ally, the affected enemy also loses their next turn.
Across 2 playthroughs, Sovereign has taken a grand total of 1 blue-move against me. In my latest playthrough he did absolutely nothing before dying. The rooftop fight prior to him is significantly more challenging than the actual final encounter.

Health sure is versatile. It's possible to be both light-headed and dim-witted. At the same time, no less.Marksmen in the Switch version of X2 are better off being pistol specialists because Squadsight is bugged in the console version :V
The three finest things in life are to splat your enemies, drive them from their turf, and hear their lamentations as their rank falls!Shelter's Relocate also re-triggers Blueblood's overwatch-after-moving ability!
As in, it puts him into overwatch (eternally vigilant), or it just triggers the reaction shot if he's already on overwatch?

Wait, are you sure that's not Jon Bailey? Because if so, that guy still frequently sounds very similar to him that it's kinda funny.
