(Gently rests a hand on Velvet's shoulder, not the metal one.)

Ti'uki is close behind Kanaya, ready to spin if need be.

-Kanaya spins twice, landing on Brain and Question Mark-

Brain is a favorite. It's the loss of a memory and a lesson associated with it. We won't ask for something terrible at this early stage, but it's not fun without a sacrifice.

And the question mark gives you some creative liberty — you can give up anything, so long as it meets a minimum threshhold of value. Try to cheat the system, and you'll be lose your offer, and be made to offer again until the Wheel should be satisfied.

-Steph stares at Yuri-

-He gestures vaguely at his eyes, now that he's got a better idea of what's at stake here-

(upon seeing the result, she sighs)

I guess anyone can live with a little bad luck.

We’ve got five spins, that puts us in a pretty safe position.

-he looks at the other teams- I am wondering something though...

Outerstar (Alice) and (Yuri)

-Yuri blinks when it makes the humming noise, and Alice seems a bit nervous.-

-...Oh, it seems like it stopped?-

-Yuri then decides to open her mouth, and...-

-...No vocalizations emerge!-

-Cue a surprised expression that gives way to a smile, and a V for victory sign.-

-Alice looks rather saddened about this. Yuri really did give up her voice...-

"A-Are you going to be all right...?"

-Yuri nods confidently.-

-Yusuke-

It's hardly a sacrifice if you're just going to get it back! Where's your sense of drama, of fun, of theatre?

-He frowns-

Your team hasn't even met the minimum three spins yet... how depressing.

-Ammon looks at Mikey-

So, uh, your team has the minimum number of spins! That's good!

I don't really see what's fun about losing something important. I thought game shows liked to handicap people in less harmful ways.

-He scowls, though, and glances around-

...I'll spin it again if we have to, though. If it's so nobody else has to, that'll be fine. That means I'm taking the... color loss.

-He walks up to trade places with Kanaya... then blinks now that he's had a moment to look at her-

Whoa... Kanaya did you get a haircut??

Outerstar (Alice) and (Yuri)

-Yuri nods in response to that, still smiling.-

-Alice, meanwhile, is still a bit nervous... although there's a little bit of relief on her expression as well.-

-They've done the minimum required...-

"...S-Should we... spin more...?"

-Yuri opens her mouth to speak, but stops, and quickly points at herself.-

-Alice shakes her head in response to that.-

"P-Please no... I... don't want you t-to spin again..."

-Yuri does a sigh and a shrug.-

-She then looks towards everybody else, looking them over, and Alice follows suit.-

"U-Um... Will you all be all right...? Or... should I..."

-Alice stops, putting her hands up closer to her face.-

-However, Yuri begins rapidly shaking her head.-

"Y-Yuri..."

-She sneers-

Puhhhh-lease. The status of life itself depends on the success of my program, of your trials. It is more than just a game, it is a kiln to produce an improved world!

-Suddenly, Yusuke's vision goes utterly drab and colorless, without lustre or hue-

-The Wheel begins to turn again, hungry for its next prize-

-It lands on Body-

Haha! Are you a rough and tumble type, Yusuke?

-Bezalel turns his gaze to Kanaya-

Oh, do be a peach and don't forget to make your penalty offering - question mark, so exercise some creativity. Love the hair, by the way.

-Sam watches Yuri and Alice, tearing up-

A Memory

Slowly, as if through a broken lens, a messy image comes into being for the last time.

There's a warm breeze through the never-ending wonderland of J.P. Wonderbutt's Cheery Carnival. The balmy sunset burns pink and orange at the peak of its thousand violet circus tents, and the skies are such a lovely purple and cobalt. The stars have just started to emerge, and the moon sits in a perfect crescent.

The grass is pleasantly soft under you, Kanaya, and after spending some time fretting about grass strains you've finally managed to find a disposable outfit. You are sat around a board of Trivial Pursuit, the game in its round maturity. Alyx is laughing at one of Rose's wrong answers.

"I've lived my life fighting aliens and even I know who Peter Griffin is!"

Rose flushes, trying her hardest to be a good sport. She's deeply embarassed and so pretty under the light of the nearby Roundabout. You smile.

Near has been dominating the game, and all others, but he's seemingly hit a brick wall with this question.

He twirls a strand of hair around his finger, pondering.

"Who were Air Jordans exclusively manufactured for in 1984..."

Your eyes open wide. If Troll Air Jodans were manufactured for Troll Michael Jordan, then...

-Kanaya's eyes widen as the memory replays itself in her mind, that one perfect moment-

-as it fades away, she tries her hardest to hold on, struggling to grasp even just a fleeting image of it, just a single scrap-

-but all she's left with is a faint sense of loss-

-she racks her brain, trying vainly to remember whatever it is she forgot, and doesn't respond to Yusuke or Bel, until she remembers she has something else to lose-

-Bezalel hops over to her, and just plucks her horn off, placing it on his own head-

-She pauses-
