To pass the time while the others were talking, I idly drew flowers on a notepad.

Rome (Aichi)

-Aichi notices Malpercio seeming down, and can't help but feel very bad.-

"...Are you going to be all right...?"

-This entire thing is already wearing on them all... or at least on him...-

"Um... If you'd like to talk..."

-...He's hear to listen.-

-And then Gesicht asks his question, and...-

-...What does he want if they win?-

"I..."

-Well... his desires are simple, honestly...-

"...I want peace... and to remember my past..."

-To remember that boy... To remember these cards...-

-He wants to remember it all, and he's never going to stop trying to remember...-

Somehow, Lua had felt her eyes getting a bit clearer when the cool wave had flushed over her system. She could see... better now, but it was still blurry.

She scuffled to her feet, clearing her throat.

“...Justice and Testament both gave me weird looks. And Aichi, so did...”

-He pauses for a second-

-He won't deny that it's a little odd. People don't tend to change tones like that...-

-...But it doesn't mean anything bad. Not necessarily.-

"...There's nothing wrong with you. People can react oddly to things..."

-...He... vaguely feels like he's been viewed negatively in the past... He thinks... It's hard to discern. Loneliness seems to be the main thing he gets from it...-

"It doesn't mean that there's something wrong with you... and even if there were, you're still my friend."

“...I barely remember that fight. I remember what happened but it’s...like it wasn’t me. Like I was watching myself doing it.”

Rome (Aichi)

"I'm not sure, but... I think that can happen... Fighting for your life... You can lose track of yourself, functioning on a form of auto-pilot."

-He thinks...? He's not sure where he would have learned that from or why, but he thinks it's the case...-

"...I'm sorry, I'm not very helpful..."

-He realizes that saying that probably won't help, but he's trying his best.-

“...You trust me, right?”

Rome (Aichi)

-Aichi nods readily to that. He may be nervous about how easily and ruthlessly Malpercio battled and killed, but he knows that Malpercio is his friend.-

-He trusts his friends.-

"I trust you."

-He sounds... confident about that, actually. More confident than any time he's spoken since you guys woke up in the grove.-

Gesicht - Rome

"Are you sure remembering is a wise idea? You're your own person. What if your past self is different than your current self?"

-Aichi-

“Thanks...you remind me of someone. I think.”

-Gesicht-

“...Every time I try to focus on my past life...it hurts. And what I can remember...I don’t know if it makes sense.”

Gesicht - Rome

"Ah. You don't have to remember if it hurts. I believe forging new memories with friends is a good way of coping."

-Aichi looks at Gesicht, a bit surprised.-

-Why wouldn't he want to remember...? He knows there are a lot of things that are important to him that he's forgotten. He can't picture them now, outside of the blurry boy and the cards...-

-...But they're there. He knows they are. He wants to remember them, even if the him now is different from the him then.-

"Yes, I want to remember. I can say that with certainty."

-He looks back to Malpercio when he says that, and smiles a tiny bit.-

"You're welcome. I'm glad to help."

-...? He reminds Malpercio of someone...? He wonders who. He's tempted to ask, but he quickly realizes that he isn't likely to remember...-

-And then Malpercio mentions his struggles with remembering, and Aichi can't help but feel rather bad.-

"Maybe it'd be better if you let things come to you naturally... Your memories might sort themselves out as you do."

-He then looks down towards his deck, thinking about how hard he tried to remember, but nothing came back...-

"...I should probably do the same..."

“...I just don’t want to lose myself and hurt you guys.”

Rome (Aichi)

-Aichi can really empathize with that, actually... He just doesn't know why.-

"You won't... and even if you did, we'd do our best to bring you back. None of us would go down without a fight."

-He knows their allies are strong. None of them would be easy to take down.-

"I believe in you."

-koata was just listening to all that while sitting down, messing with that toy of his as they do-

-on one hand remembering all that once would probably be confusing, and like gesicht said forging new ones would be nice-

-but at the same time what if he forgot important things? What if he had a human family, or like, other people, wouldn't they miss him and be worried?...-

-so much to think about...-

(Dizzy happens upon the conversation between Aichi, Geischt and Malpercio)

(she's seated nearby at the colosseum pews, but she seems hesitant to actually join them, merely muttering something near them)

You all... seem close.

(Lapis finds the streets eerily empty... but there's something about the colosseum, it's like you can feel something emanating from there...)

(Shotaro and Lua) Alright, you two hold your ground. If we're not back in three hours... well, hope you know to fly that thing.

(Raya) Place looks pretty empty right now... I'd rather we stick together, but tread carefully. For now, we just need a direction to go in...

(she sits back down in the dusty alleyway, ignoring the various thugs slowly retreating the location, most nursing their wounds and helping out those who are bleeding out)

-Aichi has been talking to Malpercio, Gesicht, and Koata, but he could have sworn he heard Dizzy say something...-

-He feels a bit worried for her, knowing the duties placed on her shoulders...-

-Leon raises a brow.-

-Leon notices the wounded thugs, honestly hoping they aren't too badly injured. They needed to defend themselves, but killing isn't something he really wants to do.-
