you know i was hotly debating if i should have formatted s2's title the same as s1 but i figured we didn't need even more dragging out of the s2 discussion

It's still kinda surreal seeing the FG's title have proper capitalization.

IKR? I really have to get used to it. It makes it hard since I have two tabs of both open a lot of the time, and then I also have other tabs on top of that...

Ok ok serious suggestion time

i've been thinking as this plot is coming to an end

that there's not really a difference between the fg city and the 'downtime' town in between plots in the rp now

MY SUGGESTION in order to differentiate the two is this:

destroy the rp city, and have the main base of operations be the roomship flying through space

this has the benefit of making the rp group feel a little bit more like a 'team' and making it feel like there's more of an overarching plot vibe going on

since it's only a few weeks downtime between plots at most, i don't see there really being an issue of things being stagnant with characters only confined to the roomship

truly, we come full circle here

I don't have a problem with the concept of making us, again, Our avatars were in a room together. Though, rather than just outright destroying the nondescript land beneath them I suggest instead the roomship just takes off and the controls get jammed so nobody can actually pilot it back down onto the ground.

but then you can't have cool flying action scenes in the roomship when the regular plot happens

if it's the Destruction part that's tricky, we could have it as a lost in space type thing where the roomship is teleported millions of lightyears away after a plot

and they must find their way back home...! or something

ah but consider this....!

How about the controls just suddenly start working again when the plot begins to move, or it starts getting a mind of its own and takes people to where they oughta be? That way the room migrates as it needs to and all.

i must insist that they are in Space tho and not the sky

I...dunno how I feel about this because it kinda limits how a plot can start now. If they’re not on a planet then things like the Egg Carrier showing up at the beginning of Fun Is Infinite can’t happen.

That's actually a very good point Random made.

And not a lot of people can function, or not even survive in space, thinking about it now.

I'm thinking they would all be able to breathe in space due to the weirdness of the Room.

But I have to be honest, I really agree with Random. It'd really limit the plots and how we'd be able to start them up, along with how the characters return to the Room.

With the FG it was OK because it's so free-form, but the RP's a bit more concrete, I think.

Also, any businesses characters are running (Such as Bolo's shop) will have no way to reasonably run said business. The FG fixed that by having the ability to start businesses in the City, but that won't work with the Room in space. At best they'd be able to claim an empty room for it, but that'd still be awkward and they'd have to get their products somehow, most likely.
