Minamoto-kun Monogatari

has anyone been reading this manga?it's about a guy who was bullied by girls when he was a kid for his feminine looks(though it's a case of Informed Attractiveness,because the guy looks pretty normal to the reader.It's funny how everyone in the manga comments how girlish he looks,but he's actually pretty normal to us...)and thus,became traumatized with them,yet,still wanting to get a grilfriend.

Now attending college,his father remarried,and since their house was too small for three people,he decided to send him to live with his EXTREMELY HOT AND SEDUCTIVE aunt(you guessed it right,there's incest vibes...)who's a literature professor at his college and she wants to make a research about the Tale of Genji and the whole Wife Husbandry thing(which,if you haven't noticed it yet,the title of the manga is actually a Shout Out to.)and she's going to use his nephew as guinea pig,and at the same time,helping with his problem with girls:getting in a relationship with 14 different women(the number of women Genji loved in the story)and she sets their first target:Kissing Cousins(following the story's pattern,where Genji's first love was a cousin of his.So,the aunt wants her own nephew to have his first time with her own niece for research purposes only.Talk about Dysfunctional Family,huh?).

Two words about this manga:DAT AUNT!!!

so far,it's a fun read,anyone wanna bet if the guy manages to get his harem by the end he's going to hit that fine piece of aunt?Japan and its fetish for incest,it's starting to rub in me...

Yeah, as the OP said, Terumi's DudeLooksLikeALady-ness is pretty much an Informed Attribute. Maybe it's just a result of the art style? He doesn't really have a girly face or build as far as I can see, so it's either that or every single character in the story is severely short-sighted. Anyway, I'm not going to believe it 'till we see him crossdressing. For purposes of objective analysis, of course.

In addition, the OP and I are in agreement on this matter. DAT AUNT.

Tried this manga out because it caught my attention on certain image boards. The concept is interesting, pretty similar to The World God Only Knows, except it's clearly modeled after The Tale Of Genji.

And glad to know I'm not the only one who thinks that the MC looking like a trap is an Informed Attribute. I take that back. He looks like freaking Uiharu.

read chapter 15,and I came to a conclusion:he will BANG DAT AUNT if he reaches his 14 girls goal,it will be inevitable. It would be funny if they show his father finding out what they have been doing,but I'm sure they won't bother exploring... only one old complain:make these chapters longer,damn it!!

Based on the first chapter, it's almost a given he will end up with his aunt. She's a (supposedly) reformed man-hater, and he looks like a girl. Her favorite character from the story of Genji was the one with the Gendo Ikari plan, and now she trying to turn him into a new Genji. And when he suddenly kissed her, she got really flustered. Way too much foreshadowing.

I'm guessing she is much less experienced than she is letting on (probably even a virgin).

Everything is just.....PERFECT!

THIS MANGA IS FREAKKING AWESOME

I like this manga, but the chapters are way too short. The first chapter was about the same length of a usual manga chapter (~19 pages), and all chapters since then are only ~9 pages long. We're on chapter 36, but in normal manga terms that's only chapter 18 or 19.

Apart from that this is one sweet manga. The pacing is great (it would be perfect if I didn't have to wait a week for a new chapter) and the author clearly has a good grasp on where the story is going and how to handle the characters. Also, I agree with the whole DAT AUNT thing. Kaoruko compares herself to Lady Murasaki, and in Genji Monogatari Murasaki is apparently Genji's closest thing to his true wife or something.

THIS is the manga that should be given the nickname "Blueballs: The Series". It's always hilarious when I read the tweets of my friends who follow it, as it's pretty much all tease and very little actual payoff, as something ALWAYS stops Minamoto cold.
