Anyway, I'm assuming master and servant are accepted at this point.

PARTY PARTY PARTY I WANNA HAVE A PARTY

In the proud F/SN tradition of legendary figures being the wrong damn gender...

  • Class: Saber
  • Master: TBA
  • True Name: Masamune
  • Gender: Female
  • Alignment: Neutral Good
  • Appearance: A fair and beautiful young woman wearing a loose-fitting royal blue flower pattern kimono that bares the shoulders (and a fair bit of the chest to boot). She's about 5' 4'', with shoulder length black hair tied into a short ponytail, although her bangs are still there. Her eyes are a calming brown, and she usually walks around wearing geta.
  • Personality: Masamune is a calm, gentle being, slow to anger. Tortoise slow. Known for the courtesy and respect she shows her enemies, Masamune is just as likely to fight you as she is to offer you tea. She radiates a calming tranquility that can soothe all but the most battle-hungry of warriors. Masamune is a very go-with-the-flow type person, who is very flexible and prefers to live and let live when possible. She's not an instigator, and will often try to avoid fighting when possible. She is willing and able if need be, but she'd prefer it if you'd just sit and chat for a while.
  • Stats:
    • Strength: C+
    • Endurance: B
    • Agility: B
    • Magical Energy: C
    • Luck: B
    • Noble Phantasm (Rank): A++
  • Class Abilities:
    • Magic Resistance (B)
Cancel spells with a chant below three verses. Even if targeted by High Thaumaturgy and Greater Rituals, it is difficult for her to be affected
    • Riding (D)
Most vehicles can be handled with above average skill
  • Skills:
    • Eye of the Mind (True) (B)
Capable of calm analysis of battle conditions even when in danger and deduce appropriate course of action after considering all possibilities to escape from a predicament. So long as there is even a 1% chance of a comeback, this ability greatly improves the chances of winning
    • Knowledge of Respect and Harmony (B)
Prevents decrease in the effectiveness of a technique, regardless of how many times it is used against the same opponent
    • Life of the Swordsmith (B)
The probability of correctly identifying an enemy's weapon is greatly increased due to one's own knowledge of the blade
  • Noble Phantasm:
    • A Life's Work (A++)
A simple tantō sheath that houses all the swords Masamune ever made, each a separate Noble Phantasm*
    • Fudo Masamune (C)
A tantō engraved with the visage of Fudo Myo-o, the Immovable Wisdom King. The blade is extremely resilient, and while not terribly sharp when compared to her other works, the blade is imbued with a number of wards which make Masamune an immovable object. All knockback and recoil are nullified, and the blade will gradually heal its owner over time, but only while the blade is gripped.
    • Hōchō Masamune (B)
A set of three unusually shaped tantō resembling kitchen knives. When in combat, Masamune will often use them as throwing knives, as they possess a boomerang like effect, always returning to whence they came. The blades can be caught, but even then they will pull as if possessed of their own will to return to Masamune. Since they are a set of three, she usually keeps one in her mouth and one in her right hand, and uses the one in the left as the projectile. She also uses them for cooking.
    • Kotegiri Masamune (C)
A tachi of renowned quality once used by Asakura Ujikage to cut the steel mail right off his opponent's arm. The sword, while incapable rending flesh, cleaves through armor like a hot knife through butter and a strike with it has a high probability of disarming an opponent
    • Honjo Masamune (B)
An exquisite sword, undoubtedly one of her finer works, the Honjo Masamune is an elegant but deadly blade, whose sharpness is so unparalleled that it can literally split just about anything. Whether it be the blowing of the wind, the ground beneath your feet or even the light that shines upon it. When using this blade, Masamune becomes completely silent, and her exact location is obfuscated, reducing her to a vague, ghost-like blur.
    • The Nameless Blade (A+)
Masamune's last work, a tachi completed on the eve of her death. The greatest sword the world never knew. Without question the finest of her work, this blade is the physical incarnation of the Clean Cut. It is entirely indestructible, possessing no flaws or structural weak points, and it is as sharp as the day is long, the blade being less than atom thick. Nothing material or immaterial can stand against it, not even magecraft or other Noble Phantasms. The strikes of an opposing swordsman merely cause the blade to sink into their own, instead of dull and wear. If there was such a thing as a god-killing weapon, this would be it. Despite the sword's incredible quality, Masamune rarely if ever uses it. She is ashamed of herself for failing to ever give it a name. To her, the fact that it went unknown and unaddressed by the world is the greatest insult, leading her to feel as if she has disgraced it. Masamune will almost never use this sword, as to call upon it for aid would already be asking too much of someone she has wronged so greatly.

The Noble Phantasm is a unique idea and I have nothing against it, but I'd label it as A++ at most. Same level as Go B.

Her stats on the other hand, need severe nerfing. If she's a swordmaker and not a swordswoman, then there is no reason for them to be that high.

  • Stats:

    • Strength: C+
    • Endurance: B
    • Agility: E
    • Magical Energy D
    • Luck: A
    • Noble Phantasm (Rank): A++

Is my recommendation

Also, tone down her magic resistance to C or B. Even FSN Saber whose magic resistance was off the charts was only B. Cut down her riding to D or C, which is still pretty good I imagine. Again, swordmaker, not swordswoman. I doubt she ever had significant experience riding a horse.

Alright, tuned down her personal skills as recommended. I nerfed her strength because dueling with a katana is usually more a matter of form than strength anyway. Her Magic Energy has been nerfed as well. I hope I'm not overstepping my boundaries here, but I kept Agility where it was. For someone specializing in fast, form-focused melee combat, maneuverability is key.

Besides, it's not a stretch to assume the one making the swords would be familiar with how to use them, right?

But not everyone skilled with a sword goes down in history as a legendary hero. Those are people on a different level. Though I assume she would be relatively skilled with a blade. But I do think that overall, her stats are still too far on the high side. Outside of Japan, she wouldn't be very well known, nor is she a warrior to begin with.

I'm willing to downgrade Magical Energy or Luck a bit, but not Agility. Besides, isn't the Saber class supposed to have high marks in most stats? Arturia had pretty much all As and Bs under Kiritsugu, and the same goes for most of the (admittedly few) Sabers in spin-offs and side-material.

It's because the most famous heroes tend to be sword wielders. Arturia is King Arthur, so her stats are obviously going to be high. Saber is considered the strongest class because they've reached the top two in every grail war, not because they're inheritly strong or anything.

I could do it, probably. The burden created by having to maintain two Servants could add some interesting flavor to Team... Hrm, I don't think we've ever come up with a team name. Anyway, if nothing else, they can sit around feeling sophisticated and drinking tea while the others slaughter each other. If you want an excuse for why she'd be in the area near the Eberhardt lands, maybe she was drawn by the huge amount of power that went hand in hand with Rider's RM and Gilgamesh's attacks?

Two Servants and one Master? I wasn't aware that could be done. Anyway, I'm not sure. Personally, I think it would be interesting to have a Japanese Master for her. It would help play up the differences between the legend and reality if the Master already had expectations.

Also, that reminds me. Can I get a quick recap of events up until this point?

Who are you calling short?!
#519: Jan 29th 2012 at 7:10:51 PM

Right KSPAM asked me to make a Master for Masamune-chan. Will post later.

And here he is!

  • Name: Roy Williams
  • Age: 15
  • Gender: Male
  • Description: A short, red-haired British teenager. Always seems to have a goofy smile on his face. He prefers wearing blue or white shirts and is never seen without his headband, which is printed with the name of his favorite band. Is always carrying his PSP for gaming-on-the-go.
  • Personality: Roy is what people would call hyperactive, always moving around, unable to stand still and usually never finishes what he starts.Roy is incredibly smart, but is too lazy to actually study. He's very friendly and sociable, not to mention goofy. He hates bullies and has a reputation for picking fights with them. Dense as a brick when it comes to "feelings". He is absolutely addicted to videogames, which is the only thing he actually focuses on.
  • Abilities: Roy is not a Magus. He can't do magic. The only thing he's got going for him are his physical and mental abilities, which is admittedly not much. He can burp the alphabet, though.
  • Bio: Roy is the only son of rich British businesspeople. He's had a very happy, very taken care of life. Although his parents are sometimes too busy,he knows they care for him.He was on a school trip in France when he got lost because of not looking where he was going. (Curse you PSP!) He wandered around town for a while until he met up with a weird woman who promptly called him her "Master". Yeah, things are about to get weird.
  • Assets: Absurdly wealthy parents and videogame skills. That's pretty much it.

Sorry for doublepost, but I had an idea for another Servant I wanted to reserve for later. I wanted to get him cleared ahead of time, providing I ever get the opportunity to use him.

Oh, and a disclaimer? I'll be taking this as a design philosophy for this Servant (especially considering who it is...):

There might be high fluctuations on the powers of those in the game... However, this doesn't mean that there is a net benefit on playing a mightier legend to push people around. Stronger Servants and teams will face greater challenges and be on the target from several other Servants who might aim to take the greater menace down. While I hope that we can have fun, take into account that signing up for more power will mean more trouble for you and be held to closer scrutiny.

With that in mind,

  • Class: Lancer
  • Master: TBA
  • True Name: Lugalbanda
  • Gender: Male
  • Height/Weight: 6' 7'', 196 lb.
  • Alignment: True Neutral
  • Appearance: A very tall man with about as much muscle as you can pack in his lean build. His hair is golden like his son's /daughter's, and he keeps it grown out past his shoulders, with little in the way of decoration. He has a very thick and pointed goatee, and muddled vermillion eyes. While you can tell he's getting to be an old man, you can also tell he is getting to be a very sexy old man. His usual attire consists of a necklace and earrings crafted from bone, half a tunic, and a mysterious bird that seems to have made its home on his shoulder
  • Personality: Actually pretty chill, at least compared to his son /daughter :P. He prefers to entertain his own whims, and encourages people to live and let live. Lugalbanda is rather friendly and affable, and even *gasp* polite, although his rather intimidating appearance wouldn't suggest it. He's a humble man, who doesn't insist on much despite his impressive power and position, and he is a big proponent of civil warfare, preferring not to kill his enemies if it can be helped. Be warned though, piss him off and you will wish he would
  • Stats:
    • Strength: A
    • Endurance: A
    • Agility: A
    • Magical Energy: B
    • Luck: B
    • Noble Phantasm: EX
  • Class Abilities:
    • Magic Resistance (B)
Cancel spells with a chant below three verses. Even if targeted by High-Thaumaturgy and Greater Rituals, it is difficult for him to be affected.
  • Skills:
    • Battle Continuation (A)
Makes possible to fight even with deadly injuries and can remain alive so long as one does not receive a decisive fatal wound.
    • Divinity (A+)*
    • Charisma (B)
Suitable for a king of a country.
    • Bravery (A+)
Bonus effect of increasing melee damage.
  • Noble Phantasm:
    • Blessings of Anzud (A)
A self-explanatory Noble Phantasm, it remains active indefinitely, granting Lugalbanda rank ups in Strength, Endurance, and Agility (which would normally be Bs), and a rather unique special ability. Due to his wish to the Anzud Bird, "Let the power of running be in my thighs, let me never grow tired! Let there be strength in my arms, let me stretch my arms wide, let my arms never become weak! Moving like the sunlight, like Inana, like the seven storms, those of Ickur, let me leap like a flame, blaze like lightning! Let me go wherever I look to, set foot wherever I cast my glance, reach wherever my heart desires and let me loosen my shoes in whatever place my heart has named to me!", Lugalbanda can move at incredible speeds, and wreath himself in a cascade of blue flames which burn hotter than lightning
    • Niri (EX) Lugalbanda's trusty spear, normally disguised as a walking staff. While it appears to be a simple rod at first, Niri is in fact imbued with the power of Utu, the Babylonian sun god from which Lugalbanda, and subsequently Gilgamesh, are descended from*. The spear may be used normally without invoking this power, and it is wise to do so, as the cost of using Niri's true power requires more energy than any Master, no matter how exceptional, is capable of giving without a fairly massive stockpile of mana. However, when invoked, Niri goes from "trusty spear of the king" to "stupidly powerful weapon of mass destruction". The spear embodies Lugalbanda's relation to the sun god, and thusly carries within it the power of the sun. And not figuratively. Literally, the power of the sun. Which is a lot. Explaining what happens to someone this gets used on is unnecessary, as is explaining what happens to most of everything within a very large radius of him, as the sun is hot. Really, really, hot. And it loves its convection. Due to the absurd nature of this Noble Phantasm, Lugalbanda, the god-king of Uruk, considers it his personal Godzilla Threshold. And considering what would be required to make a situation worse than this weapon's use pretty much assures it will never be used unless he is forced.

There we are, Gilgy Pappy. For those concerned, if I was to use him at some point (which I hope I can), he would by and large play the role of All-Powerful Bystander, not really participating in any serious fighting unless it amused him or he felt compelled for honor reasons.

Also, say hello to a unique servant.

  • Class: Saber
  • Master: N/A
  • True Name: Au Guang, The Dragon King of the East Sea
  • Gender: Female
  • Height/Weight: 155 cm, 51 kg
  • Alignment: Lawful Good
  • Appearance: Gorgeous
  • Personality: Despite her appearances, Au is a calm, ruthless, fair, and somewhat cold ruler compared to her other younger dragon siblings, although she is surprisingly someone who has always tried to have lived in peace and harmony. She shows respect to all foes, whether they are strong or weak, and will unleash all of her power upon them as a sign of her respect. She also has vowed to get back at whomever would dare to attack or harm someone who has allied with her, even if she is forced to hunt them down in the afterlife. Au also has a soft and sweet side when amused or concerned for someone, which also tends to show up if she is by herself.

  • Stats:
    • Strength: B Dragon Form -> A
    • Mana: EX
    • Endurance: B Dragon Form -> B
    • Agility: B Dragon Form -> B
    • Luck: C Dragon Form -> A

  • Class Abilities:
    • Magic Resistance (A): Cancels spells of rank A or below. In other words, the servant is untouchable to modern magi.
    • Riding (D): Able to use vehicles with basic knowledge.

  • Personal Skills:
    • Animal Dialogue (A+): Being a divine dragon, she is able to speak to all of the animals of Earth, whether they be a common animal, an exotic creature, or another phantasmal beast.
    • Divinity (A++): Au Guang, being one of the strongest dragons, the pinnacle of the Phantasmal Beasts, has a natural high Divinity. This allows her to break through defenses and skills that would be considered holy, faithful, or divine.
    • Knowledge of Respect and Harmony (B): Attacks cannot be perceived by the enemy.
    • Monstrous Strength (A): An ability possessed by monsters and beasts alike, temporarily boosting strength by one rank for a time depending on the rank of the skill.
    • Shapeshift (B): The ability to morph one's body into something else. Au Guang has this since she is able to freely transform into both her human form and her dragon form at will, and the time when she transformed into a snake.

  • Noble Phantasms:
    • Tears of the Dragon King (C+): By exercising their great powers, the Dragon Kings were known for summoning forth large waters that can easily flood cities along with causing it to rain and the ability to control the clouds. She is unable to cause her floods to effect large areas if there isn't a large enough body of water nearby, however she is still able to cause it to rain and is able to control the clouds no matter what the conditions are.

    • Sword of Entrails, Nezha (B+): Crafted by the Jade Emperor out of the organs and bones of the deity with the same name that had beaten her close to death and killed her subordinates, Nezha is Au's personal weapon, and memento of the man that she had hated the most in her life. The sword itself is that of a katana with a crimson-colored blade. It has the passive ability to cause anyone receiving even the slightest of cuts from it's blade to feel as if they were being disemboweled and had their entrails dragged out from them, the pain itself doubling, tripling, quadrupling and so on with each number of wound inflicted, no matter how small or deep the other cuts are.

    • The Lord of the Four Dragon Sea Kings (EX): Au Guang's strongest Noble Phantasm that is also the manifestation of her one true success in life of banding her sisters together. The world itself trembles in fear, and the skies begin to weep. As the rain begins to pour down heavily and as lightning and thunder start to roar, her three siblings, The Dragon Kings of the North, South, and West are summoned to her side. They have the ability to transform into their respective dragon forms, while also the ability to heal Au Guang for any wounds that she may receive, however this does not apply to themselves. The three summoned dragon kings also have B ranks in all of their stats, except for Mana which is A+.

She already got approval from both Neo and Daltar a while ago, I just haven't had the time to bring her in.

  • Alignment: Depends on master, But is always Lawful
  • Appearance: Armor is NOT useless! It makes you look much more terrifying.
  • Personality: Generally speaking, Shapur is a very ruthless and pragmatic servant; completely dedicated to achieving victory with the least possible cost. Hostages? He'll milk them for all they're worth. Weaknesses of the enemy? He WILL exploit them to their fullest. Ambushes and feints? He'll more often than not attack and fight using them! Enemy servant is too strong? HE'LL GUN FOR THE MASTER INSTEAD!!! Because of his style of dishonorable warfare, he utterly loathes knights and wishes that they die ignoble deaths for their pathetic "Chivalry". All of these things clearly reflect his previous life as one of the greatest rulers that the east has ever produced. Despite his low-blow tactics and cynical worldview, he is not without honor or standards, As alien as they are to "Western" heroes. For one thing, He is extremely loyal to his masters, preferring to sully his name and suffer great torment rather than let one die under his watch. And under no circumstances will he let harm come to children, For in his eyes; They are innocent and undeserving of experiencing the horrors of war.

    • Golden Rule: B, As the emperor of the Sassanids, His rule was marked with large public works projects, Hinting of the great wealth the royal Sassanid coffers had during his time.
    • Military Tactics: B+, He was not only able to best Emperor Valerian and his Heavy infantry in a pitched battle with minimal losses, but he also managed to capture him alive and humiliate him by using the Eastern Roman Emperor as a footstool until he tired of the ruse and had him flayed alive and use his skin as a dung-filled scarecrow.
    • Eye for art: D, Though more of an architect, Shapur has a low chance of correctly identifying servants if only they have been depicted in murals, statues or carvings.
    • Battle Continuation: C, Though he was an Emperor, he also had to be rather fierce warrior whenever he and his retinue go to war. And because of him needing to keep up with his elite warriors as well as setting an example for his men; He is quite difficult to put down and even then, the only sure way to incapacitate this servant is to completely break his bones or to dismember his limbs.
  • Noble Phantasms:
    • Ctesiphon, The Breaker of Empires: D to B+, An anti-magical lance that works on the same principles as Kiritsugu's origin bullets, in that it overloads an Enemy's Prana reserves and causes them to literally explode from their own power. Obviously, This lance gains in power and lethality in proportion to the enemy's Mana rating. Apart from the mage-killing powers however, It's a fairly standard weapon for it's time period, Save for the fact that it can separate into a spear and maul (It's Tip and weighted, flanged butt end respectively) for dismounted Combat.
    • Nisean Horses, The legendary Breed: C, The now-extinct breed of Horse so prized, That an entire river was drained when one of these horses had drowned in it. These summonable phantasmal beasts are of low quality for their legend, but compared to real horses, these things are the size of trucks and can outrun sports cars as well as never tiring and capable of trampling cars into scrap with ease. Since they're weaker than other beasts, Shapur can summon up to four of them to be used by allies for a nominal Mana cost.
    • Immortal Bodyguard, The King's men: A, Shapur's ultimate NP. It is activated when Shapur points his lance to the air and loudly screams to the heavens: "To me my Immortals!!!" and after a few quiet moments, 7 of his immortals arrive by thundering into the field of battle atop their mighty steeds, All of whom are magnificently armed and armored in the finest products the Royal armories could muster. In basic terms, he's basically summoned 7 weaker copies of himself (all their stats have gone down by 2 ranks with negative modifiers save for Luck and Agility which is only by one) armed with E rank Bows and D rank Lances. Their true purpose is to overpower the enemy with the numbers game and to perform their ultimate attack: A heavy cavalry charge led by their Emperor with their Kontos lances couched and ready to impale anyone stupid enough to stand in their way. They can only remain for 3 minutes after being summoned as the prana needed to maintain their forms is usuriously high

Gilgydad, rejected.

Gilgamesh is known as the oldest hero in the FSN canon. That, and the fact that his dad isn't nearly as famous since he doesn't have his own legend or anything. Gilgy has his epic, daddums has zilch.
