Apparently, the mangaka also worked on Comic Party, Gensou Shuugi and Murder Princess. Only Murder Princess was completely scanlated of the three.

Chapter 8 has been scanlated.

Wow that guy really is kinda a dick. It's one thing to see being a hero as a job. So long as he does a good work that doesn't really matter. It's another to endanger people so you can look better.

Yeah, that was a pretty jerkish move.

So how badly do you think his senpai is gonna react to this? What are the odds he calls her senpai again?

Hmm... I skimmed over the raws up to the end of volume 5, but I don't remember what happens with the girl here.

Well, I'd assume that she'd think Ratman caused all of this and ANKAISER is just doing his job.

Oh, wow. That's really, really dickish. Yeah, he's stopped being a Punch-Clock Hero, and became a full villain right there.

Looking forward to the next chapter.

You know you do have to admit that fighting in the flames is pretty cool.

I wonder if Ratman will save her here from the flames and the presumably collapsing building. I mean if it does start to fall apart what's the point?

I think this would indeed be a good time to start clearing up the misunderstanding between Ratman and Kizaki. Not all in one go, but at least give her a hint that there is more to him then meets the eye.

But damm, this series needs a license rescue. I would totally pay from the nose to support the author. It's all just so deliciously meta while still making sense as it's own piece of fiction.

This is interesting.

I recall from the the two volumes that were released, this was the last chapter. From here on in, it's uncharted territory for me.

I want to see how this all plays out.

The translations are going at a snail's pace. Anyone know where to read the 6th volume?

"Read" through the 5 volumes and I can definitely say the author improved a bit. The early fights were badly choreographed honestly, and a later fight goes much much better. Looks better too.

Would this be a good time to discuss a 'no untranslated spoilers' policy? Not that anyone has been giving such spoilers, but better to prevent then to cure.

I haven't mentioned about the future spoilers at all! And also, got bored with your Shiori avatar? Almost didn't recognize you. You should really finish Xenoblade.

As I said, no one has been giving such spoilers right now, but preventing would be a good idea anyway. I did not really get bored with Shiori, but I did feel like it lost relevance in some way, so I went back to the Soren avatar I've been using ever since I first got here. I will finish Xenoblade whenever I feel like it, but that might be a long time down the road, if ever.

What bugs me is that someone added a few spoilers for untranslated chapters to the trope page. Nothing really major, but still.

There's, quite honestly, no reason for them to not be put up there. Even if we invoke a no untranslated spoilers policy here, we can't deny that the work is past 6 volumes in Japan.

Yeah, the trope page can have spoilers, unless they happen to be on some really big plottwist that would ruin the enjoyment of the work. T Vtropes is an encyclopaedia, and if there is info on tropes in a given work, it has to be on the trope page. The discussion topic, however, not so much.

Chapter 9 is up for those who are interested it's done by Dragon and Fly scans.

Ok without doing spoilers I greatly enjoyed this chapter.

I agree with that statement. I just love stories like this. "The world as it is VS the world as it should be". Idealism vs cynicism.

All I got to say about this chapter is "PREACH IT, BROTHA!"

I love how the other heroes that he beat up told the girl the truth instead of lying to protect themselves.

I think I was a bit off on where I last left off. I do remember the part about the prism-team coming clean with what happened, and the other two members helping their leader. Anyway, this is really a big fuck-yeah moment for our hero. There are things in the world you can't change right now, but there will always be a chance in the future, so do what you can instead of just accepting it.

And punch a jerk-ass in the face.

Also he reminds me of a Kamen Rider fused with Carnage.

I suppose we have ourselves a new entry for Superpowered Evil Side.

Ratman IS supposed to be a shout out to Kamen Rider. The "black antihero", the scarf, the mask (as opposed to everyone else who publicly displays their persona)...
