The scenery changed. Atrocitus stared upon the scarred landscape at the constant war and bloodshed. He was no stranger to the horrors of war. Many of his fellow Red Lanterns were survivors of this. HE was a survivor of this. Emotionally is never gets easier. It becomes easier to deal out the justice so richly deserved.....but to cope after witnessing it, and the aftermath.....

The scenery changed again to the ship carrying the superweapon going off course and being torn apart by some unseen cosmic force. "If this superweapon is as powerful as you say....why not, instead of merely collecting these pieces, destroy them?" he asked Moja. "Prevent whomever wishes to use the weapon to piece it together?" His eyes narrowed. "Preventing you from using it....." he said threateningly.

"I... I'm f-fine, really, ahah," stuttered Lyna as she forced a smile. "It's j-just, uh... I m-mean, I've seen b-battle all my l-life, but... But nothing like that."

Her forced smile began to droop ever so slightly. "I... D-don't want to... S-see anything like that again, M-masky."

"... Agreed. My dream is be able to protect the peace of my friends. I too would be horrified if such a thing happened." Ayumu said, his voice becoming melancholic. "Don't worry about it." He said, about to touch her shoulder to impart sincerity but stopping himself. No... Be careful.

"But still, it would be a shame for such a beautiful lady such as yourself to make such a face. Cheer up." Ayumu said jokingly, attempting to cheer the spirit up.

"Auuh, I see..." Lyna's cheek reddened ever so slightly. "You're a good person, Masky. That's a dream worth living for. And... And th-thanks, ahah."

She took a moment to brush her hair to the side, in an attempt to make herself look more presentable, but unfortunately it all was for naught, as her hair ended up even more messed up than before when Happy Lover suddenly decided to move its perch from her shoulder to her head.

"...Hey, quit it you."

"Ara? I wasn't hit?" Ayumu asked, feeling weird that he wasn't struck for complementing a girl. 'You're pretty when you're happy, so please keep smiling.' Usually when he said something like that, a sword, fist, or chainsaw would thrust itself at him. He turned his head, embarrassed for saying such a cliched line. What he didn't notice was that in doing so, the strings for his mask were directly facing Lyna...

"Why would I..." Lyna began, before descending into incoherant mumbling as her cheeks turned redder. "I... I'll t-try to, ahah..."

She smiled sheepishly, and stared at the strings of Ayumu's mask. She'd wondered what he looked like underneath it ever since she first saw him, but now she really needed to know what was under there. But she didn't want to just undo it without asking him. There had to be a reason why he wore the mask, after all.

"Um... Masky, uh... I w-was just wondering, uh..." she muttered, but at that moment Happy Lover, sensing her thoughts, fluttered off her head and grabbed the maskstrings with its talon, before giving them a good, strong pull. "Gah! Uh, st-stop that, um... Gah!"

"Gah! No!" Ayumu fought desperately for the mask but the familiar simply tore it off before he could successfully anchor it to his face. Falling off of him, it revealed his true face, sleepy ever changing eyes with a slightly roguish shine and pinkish grey hair that keeps changing tone depending on the lighting.◊ He sighed, letting the familiar make off with his mask.

"Well, looks like the cat's out of the bag." He said, closing one of his eyes and the other one turning a rather glaring shade of gold, like a cat's eye. That eye kept an eye on the blue being, trying to perceive the being's words.

"You might consider yourself a genius, Mr. Holmes," said Flere-Imsaho, its aura field now flecked with grey, "But obviously you have not dealt with machines smarter than you..." The Drone was severely tempted to just effectorise the hell out of the arrogant man, then it remembered that its effector was mostly off-line.

Sec had come to the conclusion, if Holmes was angrier, he would make a good Dalek.
Which was not a good thing in his mind currently.

"Gah! I... I'm sorry, Masky..." Lyna said, as she grabbed her familiar and tried to forcibly take the mask away from it. "Happy, uh, has a mind of its own sometimes, ahah..."

It didn't take too long to work the mask out of the clutches of her familiar. Lyna held it out towards Ayumu. "Here, um, sorry," she said, before adding with a blush, "although I'm n-not sure why you need it. You, uh, you l-look g-good enough without it, ahahah!"
